Only the Just Seek True Justice

Only the Just Seek True Justice

I woke up thinking about the justice system. Most of my life I have recognized that the USA had one of the better justice systems in all the nations. But I have learned that our justice system is only made good when good people are involved up and down the process of justice.

As the saying goes, the grand jury would indict a ham sandwich at the presentation of the prosecution. If the prosecutor is not an honest servant of the law, then they can reduce their role to nothing more than the chief persecutor. Even before that you have to honest cops who play by the rules not bending the rules or perverting the rules to serve their own drives or career goals.

The judges are only as good as their own motives in how they call the cases. A judge can put his finger on the scales of justice in what he allows and disallows, and if the judge has come to serve a political agenda instead an agenda to sit over the lawful execution of justice in each case, the judge becomes another link in a broken system. Many times the lawyers bringing the case go "judge shopping" to have the judge most likely to lean toward their position hear the case. Individuals in court houses can be used to arrange such things. The other side has little recourse.

After the hearing, the case goes to juries - the people who have been chosen to decide the fate of the accused. In the process of voir dire potential jurors are questioned about their own biases and life events that could impact their judgment in the case. In high profile cases, there has already been intense research into the pool of potential jurors. Jury consultants comb through their histories to get rid of any "problematic" potential jurors and to find the jurors most likely to come out on the "right" side of a verdict. Jurors are tricky. They can lie about their motives for really wanting be to a juror. Some can be bribed. In lower profile everyday cases, all it may take is to make sure the jurors come from that segment of the population that is most amenable to the verdict the side is after. Zip code is also a factor.

My point here is that when there are people at any stage of the judicial system who are not motivated by seeking the truth and rendering a fair and impartial verdict, our justice system breaks down. And if those people are at the helm of every stage of a court case, then justice is hanging by a thread. It takes a moral and virtuous people for justice to be real in a nation.

Studying the reasons that Christians failed in Nazi Germany, one of the many aspects I studied was how the justice system allowed injustice to free flow through the German courts of the day. Once a people becomes polluted with ungodly motives, even the entire range of 'law & order' become polluted as well. So the search for justice becomes the manipulation of the system to achieve the desired end. As the prophet Isaiah spoke for God saying, "So justice is turned away, and righteousness stands at a distance. For truth has stumbled in the public square, and honesty cannot enter."

Without God at the center of ANY case, we are at the stage of corruption in the justice system today that injustice is often served. It was served in so many cases over the past few years. The German justice system, even though it was operating at a morally corrupted level, maintained its outward appearance of moral integrity and dignity. It is why Yeshua/Jesus warned us not to pull up the tares so we don't end up pulling out the wheat when we do. They look so much alike. He assures us that God is able to separate the tares from the wheat. This is my point about corrupted 'law & order' and I include those who make accusations that are false and play up their victimhood.

One of the earliest cases of weaponizing sexual accusations was the 2006 case of an alleged gang rape made by Crystal Mangum, a stripper who accused several Duke Lacrosse team members of raping her at their party. Just in the last few days Crystal has finally admitted she lied about it all. 100%.

Three of the young men were indicted. It was the "accusation that sparked a national scandal and forced a reckoning across the country about sexual assault on college campuses." It was a "reckoning" in the eyes of feminists and those who held that Crystal was raped because she was Black.

But it was a lie that has evolved to the point that young men on campuses have no rights to defend themselves against accusations. It was a lie used against the appointment of a Supreme Court Judge and a sitting President.

It was a lie Crystal Mangum stuck with for 16 years, even as the case fell apart. The County DA had charges filed against him for withholding evidence and making inflammatory statements, and was eventually disbarred for lying to the judge in the case.

Regardless, the cause was one that was loved by feminists, race agitators and the US "legacy" media who fed with the zeal of vultures on the story for months. 60 Minutes did 5 separate stories about the case before the case completely unraveled and the charges were withdrawn. But it
was a lie with long lasting repercussions and with many, many victims accused of the same.

It was the Weaponization of Sexual Accusation.

Every stage of the justice system MUST be honest and cannot be corruption disguised as a higher morality. Because sexual accusation has become a weapon that has trickled down now to Church level, the body of Christ is also wrapped up in a great many accusations and inquisitions of ministry leaders. BE WARNED that the same level of potential corruption exists at different stages of "seeking justice" even among the Church.

My prayer is that God would intervene in each of the current cases separating the lies from the facts and the corrupt from those honestly searching for the truth in the fear of the LORD.
