The Song of Moses Reveals God's Prophetic Intentions for Israel

It is every bit as instructive
as the Apostle Paul's Romans 9-11

In Romans 12:19 Paul writes, "Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God's wrath. For it is written: "Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord." It is from the Song of Moses in Deuteronomy 32:34-36: “Have I not stored up these things, sealed up within My vaults? Vengeance is Mine; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; for their day of disaster is near, and their doom is coming quickly.' For the LORD will vindicate His people and have compassion on His servants when He sees that their strength is gone and there is no one left who can restrain or restore."

In verse 3 of the Song of Moses it is written, “For I will proclaim the name of the LORD. Ascribe greatness to our God! 4 He is the Rock, His work is perfect; ALL HIS WAYS ARE JUST. A GOD OF FAITHFULNESS WITHOUT INJUSTICE, righteous and upright is He.”

This is not speaking that we are to be passive as a doormat (1 Cor 10:13) or that God does not allow Israel to wage war against those who attack her. This is speaking on personal motivations of individual actions, and corporately forbidding REVENGE taken by God’s people.

If you consider the history of pogroms against Jews in the Diaspora, you see that the Jews never became a force of revenge. At times they fought back to preserve their lives in the Diaspora, as they do now in the restored State of Israel against implacable enemies, but they do not fight in revenge. That is important to all believers on an individual personal level and it is a significant ethic that God imprinted upon His children corporately. Israel was set apart by the corporate ethical expectations of their Father God. Although they failed in many ways, God did imprint the children of Israel with His own Divine boundaries of justice.

This is demonstrated even today in the ethical way Israel has dealt with their implacable enemies for the past 76 years of the modern State. There may be pockets of Israelis who take revenge on the Palestinians, but the corporate ethic is not revenge, but self-defense. That is a powerful statement of the Divine DNA of the children of Israel, and Christians are to learn from that example.  Many believers make the mistake in thinking they have the “right” to seek their own vengeance on those that have harmed them. God says to His children: Don't do it. Allow me because only I can execute pure judgment. You cannot because you yourself are not pure enough to judge what that is.

The Song of Moses is Prophetic | The Song of Moses is an incredible chapter that explains what God's intentions for Israel are. As the apostle Paul explained it to Christians in Romans 9 through 11, the Song of Moses predicts everything that has played out in history. It is a comprehensive view of God's perspective of what He is doing with Israel. It spans from the time He singled them out to be "a chosen people" to the very end when He vindicates them. He vindicates them from their enemies because His own name is placed on them. He says if Israel's enemies wipe them out, they will think they not only had prevailed against Israel, but against God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob. (DT 32:26-27)

In this chapter God expresses his anger with Israel because in their prosperity, they forgot all about Him and adopted other gods, mere idols. In Romans 11:17-20 the Apostle Paul warns Christians along the same lines. Christians are not to disdain the Jewish people, but to recognize we stand on their spiritual shoulders. Israel was only set aside by God for a season in order that Salvation (Yeshua) could be extended to all the nations.

If we do not have that in right understanding, we think it is okay to seek revenge on Israel, calling them “Christ killers” and rejected of God. We better heed Paul’s warning or we are in danger of being cut off by God in a time when there is no recourse left to repent. It is the time that God returns to the natural restoration of the Promised Land and the spiritual restoration of the Chosen People, the People of the Book who “for better or for worse” have born the name of the LORD since He first singled them out for that purpose.

God said prophetically about the idolatry in the children of Israel in Deuteronomy 32:19-21: "When the LORD saw this, He rejected them, provoked to anger by His sons and daughters. He said: “I will hide My face from them; I will see what will be their end. For they are a perverse generation—children of unfaithfulness.

21 They have provoked My jealousy by that which is not God; they have enraged Me with their worthless idols. So I will make them jealous by those who are not a people; I will make them angry by a nation without understanding.

This "nation without understanding" is nāḇāl goy. Goy means nations that are not Israel. So goy refers to all the nations that Salvation (Yeshua) was opened up to by the setting aside of Israel. Now nāḇāl means foolish, which also means “with no perception of ethical and religious” boundaries. In other words, God laid out His ethical and religious boundaries to the Chosen People, but the peoples of the nations that came to Salvation by faith in Yeshua/Jesus did not have any perception of those things. In great part, many still do not because they reject the Hebrew scriptures of the Bible as having any significance to them. Big mistake.

In fact, in Acts 15:21, the Apostles express an expectation that Gentiles coming to faith will be taught what God’s ethical and religious boundaries are saying they will not lay a lot of rules on the Gentile believers because, "For [the books of] Moses has been proclaimed in every city from ancient times and is read in the synagogues on every Sabbath.” What that means is the Torah, or the Instruction which are the first five books of the Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. This was the Apostolic expectation that Christians would continue in learning God’s standards of righteousness and ethical conduct, and the Holy Spirit would convict us of how we are falling short of that. Impossible to let the work of the Holy Spirit have full access to our hearts and minds if we fail to regard the Old Testament as having nothing to do with Christianity.

Making Israel Jealous: Will God make the Jews jealous or will Christians with no regard for Israel’s Jewish followers of Jesus?  | Christians who believe it will only be Gentile Christians who make Israel "jealous" enough to come to faith, do not take into account God's original explanation of the jealousy in the Song of Moses.

First off, many of us think we as Gentile Christians have done so much better than Israel did at being a called out people, when the truth is that we have failed just as completely as Israel has according to God’s prophetic complaints lodged against Israel touched on in this Song of Moses.

Christians are not a people but are from all the other nations in the world. Israel was made a nation, a special people set aside by God to cultivate as His own, and made to be a chosen people bearing the name of God like no other people on the earth. We Christians separated from the Messianic Jewish body and understanding the instructions received by Israel as God’s ethical and religious boundaries. Imperfect as they have been, Israel has borne the name of God continuously, and corporately they have carried the ethical and religious imprint of God too. That is why there is so much hatred toward them and why they have been persecuted by all the nations - Christians included - because we are jealous of them!  We Christians are a nation without understanding of the ethical and religious boundaries as God, by our faith in Yeshua/Jesus, or that He has set us into His family and kingdom, "the commonwealth of Israel" (Ephesians 2:12-14). We do not live in Israel, but we are citizens of Israel, in the sense of “the commonwealth.”

It is an important distinction to grasp because so many Christians to this day do not understand that God did not institute a new "Chosen People" but He adopted us into the original Chosen People. It is a familial place where we stand alongside all Jews from the first century to the present day of Jews standing before God by faith in the Messiah of Israel, Yeshua of Nazareth.

In the Song of Moses, God clearly says that for the sake of Israel's enemies not thinking they can prevail over Israel and the Jewish homeland off the face of the earth, a genocide of the People of the Book, upon whom the name of the One True God has been placed, that His MESSIAH will return to rescue them definitively. Also we Christians from all the nations that remain at that time will need His rescue too. We Christians are not ‘just another religion’ that a mad and evil world of antichrists despise, but Christians are the adopted family members into the family line of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. It makes us citizens of the commonwealth of Israel who do not live in Israel but are of the Messiah’s kingdom.

The timing of this is indicated in the Song of Moses – DT 32:36 For the LORD will vindicate His people and have compassion on His servants when He sees that their strength is exhausted and there is no one left who can restrain, rescue or restore.

37 He will say: “Where are their gods, the rock in which they took refuge, 38 which ate the fat of their sacrifices and drank the wine of their drink offerings? Let them rise up and help you; let them give you shelter!  39 SEE NOW that I am He; there is no God besides Me. I bring death and I give life; I wound and I heal, and there is no one who can deliver from My hand.  40 For I lift up My hand to heaven and declare: As surely as I live forever, 41 when I sharpen My flashing sword, and My hand grasps it in judgment, I will take vengeance on My adversaries and repay those who hate Me.

In verse 36, I believe that God is telling us when He is going to have compassion on Israel - when their strength is exhausted and there are none who can rise up to save them. It is how many of us come to faith personally, and it is how many in Israel have been coming to faith increasingly since 1948 - and at this time like never before. When we think we can do it ourselves, that is what we depend on ourselves and not God; but when we come to the end of ourselves, that is when our spirit finally opens to our great need for salvation. That is when we get over our trust only in ourselves and gladly grasp the Hand of the One who can restore our life to us.

In verse 39 God makes a declaration "SEE NOW that I am He; there is no God besides Me." The declaration God makes over each of us, and over Israel to is "SEE NOW that I am He." Our faith is possible by His command that removes the veil from our eyes, so we can see.

The Song of Moses is an amazing outline of God's intentions and anyone who reads it searching for the truth from God's lips should be able to see none of are "all that" in ourselves, but only as He sees fit.

The Big Picture | Eternal Passover and Global Intifada

The Cover Story for Arrows from Zion this week are excerpts from an article by Israeli Reuven Doron called The Eternal Celebration. This article can be shared from its permanent link on Facebook. Also I would highly recommend Reuven Doron’s 1993 bookOne New Man available on Amazon & elsewhere. This book was groundbreaking in recognition of God’s plan for the end time unity of Jewish and Gentile believers in Yeshua/Jesus. This book had the most powerful impact in setting me on the path of alignment with the Israeli Messianic body and God’s intentions for them and for us.

The Big Picture | Eternal Passover and Global Intifada

Now that the Passover is behind us, we can consider the feast’s eternal significance that the Lord hinted about when He sealed this first historical communion held in the Upper Room. Opening a window into the far future, Jesus concluded His Communion directive saying to His disciples, “But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.” (Matthew 26)

Was He talking about a future, eternal Passover, that is awaiting His people in heaven as some think? Probably not, since the Lord Himself already IS OUR PASSOVER! As the Apostle wrote, “… purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Messiah, our Passover, was sacrificed for us…” (I-Corinthians 5:7).

The Lord was not hinting that we will celebrate Passover in heaven. Biblically, the Feast of Tabernacles is the ONLY feast (of the Seven Feasts of the Lord) which will continue into the Millennial Kingdom. Addressing the end of the age with God’s restoration of Zion and His judgments over her enemies, Zechariah prophesied, saying, “And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.” (Zechariah 14:16).

At the time Jesus made His cryptic comment regarding drinking wine again, He was not talking about a future Passover, but was looking forward to a future celebration in heaven with His people. When the plan of God is fulfilled and all His redeemed are gathered to Him in perfect union, the Word of God says that then there will be a great celebration in heaven — the marriage supper of the Lamb.

“And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, ‘Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.’ And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to me, ‘Write, ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb…’’” (Revelation 19).

As we pilgrim on through these trying times of turmoil and harvest, let us fix our eyes on the great and eternal blessings awaiting all those who love the Lord and prepare for His coming. We are grateful for friends who share in our labors during this season of war and harvest. The needs are substantial, as are the opportunities to serve the Lord. To learn how you can support this ministry and God’s work in Israel, email us at reuvendoron@gmail.com

We are in Judgment | Confusion and disorientation seem to characterize Israel’s policies and the execution of the war with Hamas. With increasing American and western pressures and manipulations to minimize “civilian suffering” and maximize “humanitarian aid” for the “innocents” in Gaza, Israel’s military campaign is floundering. All this while our northern borders remain an active battle zone with tens of thousands of Israelis driven from their homes and communities which are under Hezbollah fire.

Our government, which is deeply compromised, divided, and shallow in genuine Faith in the Lord God of Israel, is unable to deliver clear leadership. In fact, as a nation, we have been “wrestling with God” for decades, as Jacob did long ago, awaiting our inevitable encounter with the “Angel of the Lord” who will transform us from a JACOB into an ISRAEL. Thank God Israel’s destiny does not depend upon our politicians. Please pray for our leaders.

While endless “talking heads” and media experts seek to analyze past events, decipher the chaotic present, and predict the future, none of them can produce anything more than hot air. We are in judgment! By His great wisdom and love for His children, our Heavenly Father is allowing some of the consequences of our national and personal faithlessness and infidelity to catch up with us. The goal is to awaken, mature, and equip the saints to be set apart from the world and abide in the Lord alone. As the Apostle told us long ago, “… the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.” (I-John 2:17).

Be Strengthened | As chaos and turmoil spread around the world, God’s people are finding greater and greater grace to return to the foundations of the early Ecclesia. This first Jewish/Gentile community of faith that spearheaded what historians call the Church Age was founded on the Lord’s living presence and His Word. Her foundations were profoundly simple and doable. The Bible says that the early community of faith in Jerusalem “… continued steadfastly in (1) the apostles’ doctrine and (2) fellowship, in the (3) breaking of bread, and in (4) prayers.” (Acts 2:42).

These four foundations of the apostles’ doctrines; fellowship; communion; and prayer are becoming our daily bread here in Israel. They will carry all of us to the end, no matter how frazzled the societies around us may become. In fact, with the Passover story still fresh in our minds, we should take courage from the history of the early Israelites in Egypt who were spared HALF OF THE PLAGUES that destroyed the world’s greatest empire. Not only were the Hebrews spared the plagues of flies, livestock disease, hail, and the death of the first born, but as the tangible and unexplainable DARKNESS covered Egypt for three consecutive days, the sons of Israel enjoyed uninterrupted LIGHT.

As it is written, “Then the LORD said to Moses, ‘Stretch out your hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, darkness which may even be felt.’ So Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven, and there was thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days. They did not see one another; nor did anyone rise from his place for three days. But all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.” (Exodus 10). We pray the Light of God, His love, truth, and ample provisions to shine upon all who love the Lord, call upon His name, and take shelter under His blood sacrifice as did the Hebrews of the first Passover.

The Big Picture | What is taking place in and around Israel these days is gradually “spreading” into the rest of the world, beyond what most of the media reveals. Principally, what the humanistic world fails to realize and internalize is that the October 7 Hamas massacre is understood by many Muslims around the world as a return to Islam’s foundational principles and “glory days” of military invasions and territorial expansion. The Seventh Century is breaking out into our 21st Century, and Israel is the first line of defense while most of the humanistic West is slumbering in its comforts and drunk in its carnality.

Following centuries of Islamic inferiority and subjugation to western powers, many Muslims now feel empowered and exhilarated toward a new renaissance. We addressed in past Prayer Reports the fast growing Islamization of Europe, and we now see the first fruits of Islam’s belligerence and aggression showing up on American campuses and academia. For many Muslims, the October 7 Hamas attack was not only justifiable, it is a MODEL to follow; a FORMULA to repeat for the great cause of a global Islamic Caliphate (kingdom).

Hamas is part of a global network of Islamic militias who will now seek to repeat and replicate the October 7th model. Most European major cities already have “No Go Zones” where local Law Enforcement never enter. These neighborhoods are run by armed Islamic militias who serve both as crime networks and enforcers of Islam over their captive populations.

Members of these militias are already perfecting the practice of launching surprise assaults, coming out of their enclaves to rob, terrorize, and do as they want to the “infidels” outside. They then return to the safety of their “Gaza” where they are protected from the law of the land. Israel is the only nation so far that, having been painfully awakened from its own slumber, is struggling to face its problem and do what is right and needed. Watch and pray for your own people, and thank you for your prayers for Israel.

We are grateful for friends who share in our labors during this season of war and harvest. The needs are substantial, as are the opportunities to serve the Lord.

May God have mercy on those who are blind to the truth, and may He give grace and strength to all who have eyes to discern the “… revelation of the righteous judgment of God who will render to each one according to his deeds, eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek; but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” (Romans 2). Blessed Sabbath to you and to all who love the Lord. Thank you for your prayers.

Increasing Revelation of Who God Is & What His Plan Is

I love putting photos with my articles, however blogger has made some change that blocks me from making the articles more attractive with pictures. I pray you will press in to the content anyway. DDiorio

I won't use the word progressive, but there is a principle in the Kingdom of God that understanding increases over time. It is true in God's revealing of Himself through the Word. In Genesis, God reveals Himself and His plan in seed form. Throughout the ages even common people understood the seasons of growing food for a harvest. The spiritual harvest seed is what God revealed in Genesis and the reaping of that harvest is revealed in the visions of John on Patmos: the book of Revelation.

In between, little by little God advances the understanding of who He is and what He is planning among humankind. He plants the seed of a set aside "chosen people" which He develops through the line of Abram, who name He changes to Abraham, the father of many nations. This is because Abram had to follow God by faith into a place he did not know, so Abram demonstrated the kind of faith that would ultimately make him the father of ALL who come to God in faith.

Still God developed a faithful family line from the seed of Abram. It was a specific line of choosing that through the years brought Isaac and Jacob into the line of God's chosen people who would bring forth the Messiah of Israel, whose very name Yeshua meant Salvation. Jacob is representative of how God takes flawed humans and if they will wrestle with God through the long, dark, troubling night, God will give them a name change that reflects His ultimate plans for favor for them with Himself and man.

I will not go through the whole Bible here, but it is a reality that throughout the Bible, God continued to advance the revealing of Himself and His plan for the spiritual harvest for Himself within mankind - people like Jacob who would wrestle with God for His blessing and obtained it.

God revealed Himself in the Torah, the first five books of the Bible that contain the laws and instructions to His chosen people of how they were to live their life before Him. No one was able to live a life that measured up fully to what God revealed about His sense of justice and righteousness. Many tried, many thought they had achieved, only because we are so blind to our own failings, especially when we are hyper aware of the failings of other believers.

Advancing, advancing, God reveals Himself and His plans for the salvation of mankind all the way to the revelation of His only begotten Son, Yeshua, who was the Word of God in the flesh - meaning the only human being to ever live fully in the spirit of God's laws, obedient unto death to faithfully follow every word that proceeded from the mouth of God.

Many Christians think everything begins and ends with Jesus, the truth is that His life was to show us what we could be living by the Spirit. Throughout the Christian age we have failed to do that, just exactly like the Jewish people failed to live up to God's high bar for humanity. God is showing both the Jews and the Christians that they are both subject to stumbling and failure if we don't go completely His way. Neither of us can be mostly good and get by with that.

In the end, we discover that God's plan has always been what was stated in Ephesians 2:15, that God is going to take those Jews and Gentiles from all the nations who come by faith in His only begotten Son and make of two "one new man." The symbolism of marriage, where husband and wife become one in unity under the authority of Yeshua/Jesus, who Himself is under the authority of God.

I have said all that to say this. The return of God to the Jews is WHOLLY wrapped up in revealing His only begotten Son to the people God made to be known throughout history as "the Chosen People of God." There is no room for Christian jealousy at this point as God is advancing the revelation of Yeshua as the salvation of "all Israel." In fact, Christian jealousy becomes a disqualifying factor: if you do not accept this ultimate plan of God for the spiritual harvest of salvation among mankind, you will find yourself losing more and more of what you thought was your perfect faith as a Christian. It all comes down to the obedience that will follow Jesus where ever He goes, and He is going to Jews and Israel increasingly in our days.

This is not some misinterpreted dispensationalism; this is God's Word and His plan. He promised throughout the Bible that He would return and restore Israel to spiritual relationship, and there is only one way to do that: by faith in Israel's Messiah Yeshua. That's why the number of Israeli Messianic Jews has gone from 24 saved souls in 1948 at the restoration of the State of Israel, to estimates in 2024 of 15-20,000.

Christians who think there is some other way that Jews will come to faith and be restored to God, do not leave room in their priorities of life for God's own desire to make of Jew and Gentile one new man in Yeshua/Jesus. This cannot happen if Christians are not even on the planet anymore when Jews come to faith. We cannot be one in Heaven if we have not become one in the earth - like Yeshua, obedient to do everything that proceeds from the mouth of God.

That means turning your eyes away from making Jews jealous of how great your goodness in the LORD is. Not that you should be any less good, but recognizing that even in Israel, it is the believing Jews who have the greatest credibility to unbelieving Israelis. No one else has the same life experience they share. Place your good will toward Israel in the hands of those who are the living love letters from God to their own people, bringing Yeshua as the completely Jewish Messiah of Israel, HaTikvah, the Hope of Israel. Be smart enough to know our place is a supporting role to the Israeli Messianics in the salvation of Israel - as a wife's role to her husband's area of responsibility before God. A help-mate, not a replacement.

Originally written on Facebook and when I came to post it here, was unable to upload the One New Man book cover.

This reflects my own thinking, based on much learning from my own studies and being exposed to some of best Israeli Messianic ministries for the past 30 years.
The reason I have used the photo of Reuven Doron's "One New Man" book to illustrate what I'm writing about is because his writing so profoundly impacted me back in the 1990's when I had no idea of Jewish believers in Jesus living in Israel. Once he got my gaze turned in that direction, God began to speak much to me through His Word about His plans for the Jews. I had re-entered the faith in 1983 and immediately began searching for the Jews in church. I could not find them there and I didn't understand why, because the Bible is almost entirely the Jews. How could it be Jews were not in the faith. God's Word and books like "One New Man" pointed me in the direction of God's plan for that.

To learn more about One New Man, I recommend Reuven Doron's 1993 book which advanced my understanding towards what God has been planning all along. Amazon

NOTHING.

Arrows from Zion
Summarized from the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests Israeli Ministries

Stefan Silver, son of David & Josie, is also a pastor at Karem-El Congregation. Stefan has penned an excellent article called The Heart of Passover, which breaks from traditional emphasis to return emphasis where the Scripture places it in observing Passover. Great article, Stefan! “The Heart of Passover” is the Blood of the Lamb whereas rabbinic Judaism – lacking an altar to sacrifice a lamb has all but replaced the Exodus 12 sacrifice of the lamb, with all emphasis on removal of leaven and even even forbidding eating lamb on Passover. As Stefan notes, “Unfortunately, Israel’s Rabbis throughout the generations have continued to filter the gnat while swallowing the camel, placing all the emphasis of Passover on the leaven while neglecting the lamb almost entirely. Without the redemptive power of the lamb and its shed blood, the removal of leaven is mostly futile. That was true for the first Passover, and it is certainly true today as we know that without the blood of the spotless Lamb of God, there can be no forgiveness of sins.”

DUGIT Outreach Ministries founder Avi Mizrachi speaks how they are working to alleviate some of the pain, sorrow and grief of the Hamas attack on Oct 7, writing “since war broke out seven months ago, our Distribution Center has been serving more and more families in need than ever before. We have also been providing meals and gear for our brave soldiers. Almost every day, it seems we find that new needs arise—often at a moment’s notice—with no time to work out the money or details; we just do what we can with whatever we have. And we just keep believing that the Lord will multiply our resources. This year, we have already noticed a spiritual sensitivity like never before among the people of Israel. The war, with its sudden death and destruction, has brought a heightened awareness of the fragility of life and stirred an interest in eternal matters. Every day, our resources are stretched by the needs and opportunities to touch lives for Yeshua.” Avi asks if you will help by making a donation saying every donation makes a difference.
For more than 30 years, DUGIT Outreach Ministries has been bringing the Good News of Yeshua to the people of Israel. Our heartbeat is to share the gospel, make disciples, pray without ceasing, and care for the hurting. Our Outreach Center and HaOgen Coffee House are located in Tel Aviv, Israel.

ARC’s Chaim Malespin relates a close call recently while he was in the lead hummer doing “intense maneuvers in preparation for Rafah. In the darkness of the night we had a row of hummers driving at top speeds, of course, using only night vision, no lights of any kind. Suddenly, the ground underneath one of the hummers in the convoy gave way, causing it to flip careening off the cliff! …. we quickly circled right around. When we saw the wrecked hummer, our hearts sunk as we jumped into rescue mode. Somehow, after such a disaster, no one died. There were torn muscles, etc, but this could have been way worse!  Thanking God for His protection.  So grateful for the thousands of believers around the world that are praying for Israel. I call this the “golden dome”!  Hear Chaim share some key prayer points in this Off the Cliff video.

Keep praying on this front which will be even more intense than Gaza. Many precious brothers & sisters live in the northern part of the country, and will be at higher risk even though Lebanon terrorists are more well equipped for longer range and said to have even more tunnels that Gaza – and that has turned out to be LOT! We know God fights for Israel, but there are still losses in every battle.

Rania Sayegh, the Christian Arab prophetic intercessor in Nazarath at HOPE: House of Prayer & Exploits writes of the Iranian attack in mid-April reminding her of a vision she received in June 2022 about Iran being the head of an octopus. “Could this be the time, when God will deal with the head of the octopus?” (The vision can be reviewed here)
She also updates on terrorist attacks in the West Bank, in Gaza, in the north from Hezbalah in Lebanon and also some rockets from Syria in the Golan Heights. “Here at HOPE, we have been standing for months crying out through prayer and worship for God's protection over the northern gate of Israel! (Click also here) Most recently, the HOPE team has been working on a prophetic song that the Lord gave …. HOPE worship team would like to record it professionally in a studio, which will cost us around $1500, and we would like to invite you to sow finances into this project.
I am currently preparing for a couple of trips abroad to Sweden, Norway and Poland. Dov Bikas who leads the Aviv Ministry Center in Tel Aviv for evangelism & humanitarian aid to Addicts on Tel Aviv streets sent a heartening story of a volunteer team leader & mentor at their rehab in Netanya. The story is one of working with an addict for many, many months, being a friend, a help and eventually the person who would help the addict get help in rehab. One day in Bible study at rehab, this man lead a study on the 10 lepers Yeshua healed. “After the study, Nicolas* came up to me and said he felt just like those lepers - that Jesus touched him and cleansed his life of everything destructive. Then he asked to pray the sinner's prayer with me. We prayed and Nicolas* became our brother in Christ! Please pray for him.”
Dov also reports on their food distribution to the needy in Ofakim, near Gaza, and how it has resulted in the start of a new home fellowship group for sharing the Gospel. “10-12 people who gather twice a week for Bible studies. Please pray for these new brothers and sisters, for their leaders G and I, and for the Ofakim home group to grow!
Several other updates on the ministry vehicle they are able to purchase because of the donations sent toward it, and how it led to a new family joining their “Desert Flowers” congregation when a man in the auto insurance office overheard they were believers too. | Also good reports from their Women’s Shelter. “Thank you for your prayers and feel free to share your prayers requests too anytime!” Donation Info here for this ministry

Kehila News Israel article: Could Susya be a 1600-year-old Messianic Jewish city?
Some argue it was inhabited by early Christians who maintained Jewish
identity.

Normally I share text for the HaMaayan congregation led by Tony & Orna Sperandeo, but because their English-speaking team member Sally Shiff is currently in the USA at this time I invite you to go to the blog to read the full. ministry prayer letter & enjoy their pictures of events over the past month.

From Tikkun Global, first a VIDEO from Asher & Betty Intrater Israelis love Iranians! – also an important article by Asher Intrater Global Alignment of Passover and Last Supper. Asher writes, “For years, God has been bringing us together into oneness as a Global family of faith with the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. We receive this vision from Yeshua’s prayer in John 17, that we would all be one in God’s love. . . . We are also entering into a strategic alignment with covenantal relationships between Jews, Arabs and people from every nation and ethnic group. . . . We are now seeking to put this international fellowship in line with order of God’s historical covenants, biblical calendar, and prophetic patterns. However, whenever we speak of Jewish roots, global alignment, holy days and so on, we must be careful, because one can easily get out of balance. . . . The place where the international communion and the Passover season intersect, is in the Last Supper. Was the Last Supper a communion service or a Passover seder? It was both! The Jewish community and the Christian community split – one went to communion, one went to a seder, and it lacks the combined power.” This is extraordinary revelatory insight, please Keep reading online
This also dovetails with DeliverX by Guy Cohen, Harvest of Asher Congregation in Akko, Israel | A Passover phrase recently caught my attention. It runs parallel to the plot of Purim and the other “rescue” stories throughout Israel’s history.
Finally this important book from Daniel C Juster: Dynamics of Spiritual Deception | A recounting of the author's experience with a congregation that fell into the depths of spiritual deception and became cultic. Amazed at the number of people from evangelical backgrounds that were so easily deceived, it is his conviction that this accounting and the review of the principles involved in their deception will prevent the same thing from occurring elsewhere.

Evangelistic-hearted Beit Hallel pastor Israel Pochtar sends VIDEOs on Passover, Our Time of Redemption. The scene is Gethsemane is a unique place in Jerusalem – the olive press. | Also what Christian doesn’t know the song, “Bringing in the Sheaves”? This is another VIDEO from Israel Pochtar called The First Sheaf of a Mighty Harvest! Where he speaks to, “Right as Passover ends, another feast begins: the Feast of Unleavened Bread and Feast of Sheaves.”

Hands of Mercy director Yariv Goldman is part of the younger generation of Israeli Messianic ministries that is more oriented (as their whole generation is!) to communicating via social media rather than by the traditional written forms like email. If you would like to be part of our confidential WhatsApp and Facebook groups or if you would like to schedule a Zoom call with us. Israel: +972-502230395 | USA: +1-954-388-1707  ||| All social platforms: (skype/Telegram/ Signal/Viber/ Botim/ WhatsApp etc:) are either in the name of yarivgoldman  or  +972-502230395
Some of the devastating news Yariv wrote in this rare email updates is about the mental state of those released from captivity in Gaza:  “…many who have survived the October 7 attacks are bound mentally by such overwhelming and unbearable trauma. As a result, at least 50 survivors have tragically taken their own lives, and dozens more continue to be hospitalized in psychiatric wards. Let us keep praying for true freedom on the inside for those who remain captives, and those who have survived horrific attacks due to war and terror. Also, please remember the families of the victims of terror and fallen and injured soldiers in your prayers. We mourn for those who have lost their lives and for those who continue to suffer under the weight of relentless evil attacks on our very existence as a nation.
“As Isaiah 61 reminds us, our mandate as people of faith is to proclaim liberty to the captives and to work tirelessly for the liberation of all who are in darkness and bondage….we continue to address the urgent mental and spiritual needs of those in our community, as so many in our nation continue to experience the devastating effects of horrific trauma.”

Hasdey Yeshua, the Hebrew congregation in Arad, write of the different seders their members held – some with special focus on passing on the meaning of Passover to the children according to the instruction of Exodus 13:14, and others to “adults, some of whom don’t yet know their Messiah. For others, a number of whom came from other countries, it was their first time to experience Passover, so in addition to being an outreach, it was also a time of teaching. Please pray for the Jewish people who attended to see Yeshua clearly and not be fearful to give their hearts to Him.”
They also write of the experience of their congregants when the Iran strike came, and a report from Sara who works with the Bedouin – who are now terrified by how unprotected they were as the sharp shrapnel from being blasted out of sky began to pierce through their tin roof housing. You have heard of the Bedouin girl – the only one wounded in the Iranian attack? This is how it happened, shrapnel piercing through the tin room and striking the girl in the head. Please pray for her, and for the now fearful Bedouin. Sara writes, “Our Bedouin contacts are now begging us to help provide them with some sort of shelter into which they can run, similar to what people in Arad have, so that they and their children can go to sleep in peace at night.” Watch this
VIDEO and to contact Sara directly send an email to: sara.barnaba@hotmail.com
The congregation is sad to see the new mayor sell out to the religious sect that persecutes the Messianic believers. Their former mayor is taking an active role in the political opposition. Pray for all.
