Rachel weeping

"Prayer request for Israeli Messianic minister, Guy Cohen: "There are many soldiers who were injured and killed from this Gaza war. Please pray and share for need of recovery and consolation to the families who lost their beloveds."

Donna: I was reminded of Matthew 2:18 “A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more.”

The fuller context may be prophetic still, as God has a habit of repeating prophecy in the time it was spoken, and then in the far off time of the future.

The Slaughter of Innocents | Matthew 2:17-20 Then what was spoken through the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled: 18 “A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more.” 19 After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt. 20 “Get up!” he said. “Take the Child and His mother and go to the land of Israel, for those seeking the Child’s life are now dead.”

The time of Yeshua being taken to the hurting "Rachel" after this horrible war and so much loss, is when the persecutor is dead. Herod is like Hamas, slaughtering innocents to make a claim that God does not back.

Pray even now for the body of Messiah in Israel to comfort their people with the knowledge of the promises of God in Yeshua, to be with them and the save them. Like Job, after the trial of his faith, losing his children and all that he had, after he prayed for his accusing friends, God returned to Job many children to comfort him, and restored Job's peace and all he had lost.

Pray for the body of Messiah in Israel who are suffering right alongside their countrymen - sharing in the losses, sharing in the great hurt of being a people persecuted and hated century after century because God called them "chosen." Pray for comfort of their hearts, their souls, restored vision for the salvation of "all Israel" that is at the DOOR even as we speak in the beginning of 2024. Now is the time to lift they arms in the work of the ministry and to lift their spirits in encouragement that WE DO SEE - it is them who are the CHOSEN OF GOD for the salvation of all Israel.
