Arrows 2025 Sep 13 Operation Rescue of the Next Generation

The news of the assassination of American Christian Charlie Kirk on September 10th came as such a shock to me. The cover story by Joel Jelski below about the Rescue Operation of the Next Generation had already been set in place as the lead focus for this issue. It seemed an uncanny ‘coincidence’ because Charlie Kirk was a Generational Voice for Truth.
Charlie Kirk was a strong Israel supporter and his Turning Point USA was all about outreach to young Americans. He focused on false narratives in politics at colleges and universitites across the USA, always expressing freedom of thought and a healthy exchange of ideas. He was the model of civility even on the heated territory of indoctrinated American universities. Yet Kirk called out those in both high and low places who spoke evil and did evil acts. He had no problem calling out those in our society who are acting in bad faith towards the freedoms of every American. He believed in the greatness of the American foundations as a nation.
Kirk, a 31-year old father of two young children, was also a man of faith. Just days ago on Sept 6th, he posted a single line on X: “Jesus defeated death so you can live.”

All of this has caused me to wonder about the assassination of Charlie Kirk, happening on the heels of the widely seen video of the senseless, cold blooded murder of a 23-year old girl, Iryna Zarutska, who had escaped the war in Ukraine only to be stabbed to death by a repeat offender foolish liberal American judges kept releaseing to the street. Even as I write this foreword it is the 24th anniversary of the Islamist terror attacks on America, I have wondered if these horrifying events we have watched this week on our TV sets is not tied somehow to the message Joel Jelski wrote below.
Like Joel Jelski has the ear of the youth of Messianic families in Israel, Charlie Kirk had the ear of the American youth. That is what the focus of Joel’s article is about, how we have to activate ourselves to rescue a generation being indoctrinated with false narratives about Israel and the Jewish People. There are also many anti-God false narratives young people are being indoctrinated into. Joel offers practical insight as to what we can do to counter the false narratives that are antisemitic. I believe the same action points Joel gives are for all of the issues that we must counter among young people. I believe God is pointing a way forward to us even in the tragedies we are witness to. If we will heed the call, Charlie Kirk’s death will be like John 12:24,
Truly, truly, I say to you, unless the grain of wheat, having fallen into the ground, should die, it abides alone; but if it should die, it bears much fruit.”
This is not any prediction of Joel falling in the battle as Charlie did! But the situation of warfare in Israel, the impact of Joel’s ministry to Israeli young people and adults, the reality that he has been serving in the IDF Reserves, but also that every citizen in Israel is aware of threat to life they stand in, it is only wisdom to offer prayers for safety of Joel and of all those who are playing such a powerful role in the lives of the next generation of Israeli followers of Yeshua.
I hope you all have eyes to see and ears to hear what is being shared in this issue.
Read Job 33:14-27 if not.

Rescue Operation
of the Next Generation
from anti-Semitism & other evils of the age i-Semitism
by Joel Jelski, Fields of Wheat  & Katzir/Harvest National Youth Camps:
Equipping the Next Generation for the Spiritual Harvest in Israel

Donna: As soon as I saw Joel’s email come in, I knew it would be the cover story for the next issue. It is one of the most critical issues of our day as followers of Yeshua in all the nations.
As God spoke through the prophet Malachi 4:5-6, "Behold, I will send you prophets in the same spirit as Elijah before the coming of the great and awesome Day of the LORD. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers. Otherwise, I will come and strike the land with a curse.” (Italics are the Berean Standard Bible translation; those in bold are my understanding of the phrase “Elijah the prophet.”
Elijah’s name means, “My God is YHVH” and Elijah was a mighty prophet doing mighty signs and miracles because he knew his God, not just because he spoke about God, but Elijah knew God in the same sense of Daniel 11:32,
"And such as act wicked departing the covenant with God, shall the Antichrist corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall become strong, and act with effect." To know God as He really is will reach the next generation. We must press in.

What you can do about the plague of anti-Semitism?
RESCUE the next generation from anti-Semitism!
| by Joel Jelski |
"The Modern state of Israel is NOT the Israel of the Bible." I've heard and read this phrase many times over the past few months.
The fact that this phrase is said is not really surprising. The thought and idea, or even the theology, of God replacing and abandoning His covenant with Israel has been around for a long time. What has been disappointing is hearing the voices of Jesus' followers who are now agreeing with and spreading similar statements.

For the past few years, I have been asking myself this question: "Where will the church be regarding Israel in 20-30 years?" Working with young adults in Israel, I'm naturally concerned about this generation globally. So, what follows are my sincere personal thoughts as we observe the growing opposition to the existence of Israel and the Jewish people.

In many of the meetings that we have participated in abroad, over the years, the average age group tends to be higher. That's not to discount the importance of the "older" generations who have stood by Israel, helped pray for, supported, and built up the Messianic body in Israel for decades now. These stalwart partners are typically referred to as Baby Boomers and Gen Xers (those born between 1965 and 1980). But as a younger guy (although the youth consider me OLD at 36!), I'm always looking at who will stand by us when I'm in my 50s and 60s.
Church, we have a problem. | A recent poll showed that around 60% of the Gen-Z group (ages 18-29) support Hamas, while it's the complete opposite for the age 65+ group, whose support for Israel is around 85%. Among conservatives in this group, from 18-49, there is a sharp rise in UNFAVORABLE views towards Israel. Only 35% expressed anti-Israel attitudes in 2022, but it has jumped to 50% in 2025. Among liberal voters, it's even worse. During the last three years, it rose from 62% to 71% (ages 18-40). The following article lays out this picture: https://www.jns.org/public-opinion-for-israel-shows-an-alarming-trend/
These numbers tell a story. Something is shifting in how young people feel about Israel. Exacerbated by poor and slanted media coverage, lack of education about history, and university indoctrination (funded by Qatar and other Muslim groups) — it's getting worse. The problem we face is that many of these same young people are part of the Church, where they may not be challenged on these issues. Many churches simply don't think teaching their youth about Israel is important. They have many other challenges to deal with (which is true), but ignoring the issue of what they believe God has to say about Israel will make it worse.

The Church must ask itself these two questions:  1. What do our young adults believe God says about Israel? and 2. Have the last two years of war impacted their beliefs, and how can we address it?

There is a lesson about discussing sensitive topics that I learned from Pastor Oded, who is part of our Katzir oversight team. "If we are not talking to them about it, someone else is." I can guarantee that if your church, or any community, is not actively equipping its young people to understand what is happening in Israel — rooted in a biblical foundation and understanding —someone else is reaching them with their own message about Israel.

Sound the Alarm |
There is an alarming trend on social media. Well-known figures with large followings, especially young listeners, and even some Christian leaders have begun to spread well-known tropes—false narratives and lies about Israel and the Jewish people.
Why is this trend significant? Because I am certain your kids and young adults are hearing the same things and being influenced by them. Many people want to believe that it will blow over when the war ends. Others think they're just "talking heads." Who cares? Historically, though, it makes a big difference. This trend follows a similar, well laid out pattern that we have seen before—namely, in the history of Nazi Germany:  1. National Crisis (war, economy)…leads to  2. Blaming the Jews… which escalates into 3. Violent actions against Jews.
Ironically, what is said to be opposition to the actions of Israel as a nation is actually playing out all over the world against Jewish people, proving this really isn't about Israel; it's about all Jews. Globally, anti-Semitic cases have gone up 340% since 2022. The US has reported a sharp rise in anti-Semitic incidents since October 7th, 2023. And violence is a natural consequence of such trends.
The Shock of Racist Murders | The above downward spiral is being shockingly manifested before our eyes. Here, I'll give two well-known cases (there are thousands of cases not reported in the media). In Colorado, an attacker murdered a woman (burned her to death is a better description) while yelling "Free Palestine!" Two weeks prior, two Jewish believers, Yaron Lischisnky and his soon-to-be fianc
ée, Sarah Milgrim, were openly gunned down at a State Department event in Washington, DC.
Some of my family were friends of Yaron and his family, as was Ruby. So this was close to home for many people we know here. The attacker was yelling the same thing, "Free Palestine," and later said, "I did it for Gaza." He also wrote that those responsible for Israel's actions in Gaza forfeited their humanity.
The latest case that really caught my eye was the Minnesota mass shooting event, in which a mentally ill transgender person murdered two children in a Catholic school. In addition to other phrases written on his guns, like "Trump must die," he wrote "6 million is not enough" and "Israel must fall." The attack itself may not have been anti-Semitic, but the person was fueled by the same hatred against Israel and the West. The common ground of the anti-Semitism behind these attacks, fueled by false media narratives, cannot be ignored. This will impact our young people whether we like it or not.
Urgent Need to be Informed and to Educate the Believing Community
| There is an urgency in this time to make sure that we are equipping the next generation in the Church about Israel. What can you do in addition to praying (which always is vital and powerful)?
     1. Educate yourself
and your family regarding the history of anti-Semitism. Don't leave this up to the schools. Schools will not be able to equip your kids to learn about anti-Semitism, Israel, and, more importantly, how this relates to the Bible.
     2. Ask your kids what they believe about this latest war in Israel, what they hear about it, and don't be afraid to talk about it, even if you aren't an "expert." Find out what sources they are listening to.
     3. Make sure your church is talking about this! And even if they are, make sure your church is discussing this with the youth and student groups, if you have them.
     4. Equip your youth and young adults/college students' pastor on these issues. If there's no one "on staff," help whoever is teaching the youth to be equipped. Stir vision for the church to send them to Israel. Help provide tools to teach the next generation about God's heart for Israel. Please don't leave this subject to chance. If you're not talking to them about it, someone else is.
     5. Supply material they can learn from. Books are great, but podcasts and listening material are more likely to impact young people. According to the American Bible Society, Gen-Z today engages with bible content first through TikTok, then podcasts, and only then the Bible app. Telling them to "go read the Bible" simply won't reach them.
A Quick Update: What's happening on the ground, here in Israel? | As I write this update, the new ground operation in Gaza is now officially starting. Many of our friends are currently in reserve duty, and their service has been extended. I received news that our unit is being called up on November 1st for another round of 2-3 months of reserve duty in Gaza (we will be the "second wave" that replaces those who will start the ground operation). I don't know yet what I will do, as my wife is due to give birth around September 20th, and she starts her studies on November 2nd. Many families find themselves in the same situation, torn by the need to serve their nation, with their families paying a heavy price. Please pray for our family and for wisdom to know how to navigate this.

Yesterday, I was able to visit a reserve tank unit on the Lebanon border and provide them with the tactical uniform Ruby helped develop. I shared with some of them who we are as believers in Yeshua as Israel's Messiah. They were ecstatic to receive these amazing uniforms and a few other small gifts. Once again, thank you for helping us make a difference and impact what is happening on the ground, giving these soldiers something nice in the midst of all the pressures.
I can't share photos of the smile on their faces for security reasons. Sadly, this is a direct result of what I reported above. Now, when an IDF soldier travels abroad, he or she is at risk of an anti-Semitic attack. But please know that very few things bring such big smiles to their faces. Your gifts and prayers are what make that happen! We are incredibly thankful for you, Joel Jelski, Katzir Director

Summarized from the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests Israeli Ministries

Cookie Schwaeber-Issan has written one of the best tributes to Charlie Kirk that I have read. Urging you to read it too in All Israel News: "Honoring Charlie Kirk"

Watch this YouTube Video of Charlie Kirk declaring why Israel is important to him and for ALL of us.

Arriving on 9/11 is Reuven Doron’s “The Third Day” which addresses Hosea’s prophecy about the 3rd Mllennium. (Saving the writing for next week but Watch the video
9/4 Don't be Deceived | This is what I like about Reuven Doron, he is always keeping it REAL! Revuen writes: "There is a lot of 'prophetic' chatter online these days regarding the Feast of Trumpets 2025 and its possible implications regarding the rapture, the coming of the Lord, or other dramatic end-time events. We understand the emotional frenzy associated with these topics and the financial gains that can rise from peddling them, but we advise our friends to guard their hearts and minds against ANYTHING that is not anchored in a clear biblical reference."

From David’s Tent another great Israeli prophetic voice, researcher, writer, teacher and musician, Avner Boskey’s ‘How the Mighty Have Fallen” — But Why? This is Avner’s excellent summary of the events surrounding the assassination yesterday of Charlie Kirk. He also gives a wide range of responses to news of Charlie’s murder by public figures. In Avner’s words, “A hero has fallen what did he stand for?

The Tikkun Global 2025 US conference in Anaheim, CA is over but the sessions will become available to view on YouTube. You can watch for the announcement on their Facebook page or subscribe to their YouTube channel.  I have only been able to listen to 1 message, that of Asher on opening night but I am so thrilled he got into a message I consider one of his most important messages on the end times. Haven’t heard him address it since 2016 and it is something we all need to get hold of for the days ahead.
Because I have followed Asher for so long, pouring over his teachings like, “The Harlot and the Beast, Or Jezebel and Jihad” which he has not preached much- if ever- in the past decade, when he went there for this US conference he confirmed my own strong conviction that the time of these things is NOW. In fact when Asher toured the US in 2016, he was preaching the message of The Harlot and the Beast, or Jezebel and Jihad
in many places.  I didn’t remember doing this, but I transcribed his message and then converted it into a 34-page article that I sent to him with the hopes he would commit this important message to a booklet at the least, or the starting point of a book. Maybe I was among the FEW ready to take in that message in 2016, but I know that NOW MANY are ready to hear it.
Maybe it was a prophetic timing issue, but I do believe you will be hearing more from Asher on this important warfare topic. We are there folks. Time to know what we are really up against.
At the conference, Asher was only able to hit some of the key points of this message. For instance making the point of how spiritual warfare meets and impacts military warfare on the ground. Also, that it is not a matter of God being on one side against another, it is a matter of one side choosing to be on GOD’s side and the other side rejecting being of GOD’s side. We’ve had a lot of indoctrination on that point, but it is time we came to terms with what Joshua 5:13-14
really means because America needs the information on how spiritual warfare meets ground warfare right now:
"Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in His hand. Joshua approached Him and asked, “Are You
for us or for our enemies?”
“Neither,” He replied. “I have now come as Commander of the LORD’s army.”
The Commander of the armies of God is Yeshua/Jesus Himself.

The HaMaayan congregation writes something very important for Christians to understand – especially when they believe the God of the Old Testament is different than the God of the New Testament. As they write: “Our God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Because He never changes, we can count on His faithfulness. We can look back through history and see when King David was in the same situation that we are in Israel today. In 1 Samuel 30, the Amalekites invaded the south, kidnapped everyone including David’s wives and burned the city. David and all who were with him wept till they had no more strength. But David “strengthened himself in the Lord.” Ultimately, David sought the Lord and asked what to do. God said “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake and without fail recover all.” In the end everyone returned and the Amalekites were defeated. Today Israel is in the same situation and has an opportunity for our government & military to “be strengthened in the Lord.” They must seek God’s guidance & direction obediently, knowing that only through Him can our people be saved.”
As Messianic believers in Israel here is how they are carrying out what God wants them to be doing: Helping the Druze, hepling the needy, Taking time to be together with the congregational families, and for the new school year: A special focus of prayer on behalf of our younger generations. Not only are they the only believers in their whole schools, but they are also taught subjects that go against God and His Biblical standards. Pray for our children to be a light to their friends and school. We are praying for protection from demonic influences (sexual perversion, witchcraft, humanism…), and for the parents to guide their hearts and minds, that they would continue to walk with God, knowing His Love.

IMPORTANT REQUEST for Shlomy & Miriam Abramov: ARRIVED IN THE U.S!  Please pray for safety and anointing. We are going to be sharing about the war and it takes anointing. We will be in very liberal cities. We have also been invited to campus again to share at the University of Nevada. Please pray as you know on many American campuses there is much hatred Israel. [This is scheduled for about a week after the assassination of Charlie Kirk! So please pray for their safety, discernment and God's covering protection!] Sharing the gospel anywhere and everywhere is our gift, so we accepted when the invitation came. Although we are specifically called to Israel, we shall go forth in faith and we are glad to be invited.  Please remember to pray for safety, health, stamina, speaking anointing regarding the awful situation we are living in daily in the land of Israel 2 years now. Please pray for joy, the Holy Spirit's leading in all we do and in who we meet (or don't meet!) and for open hearts for Christ, especially as we share on campus. Awake Israel Ministries

Chaim Malespin of the Aliyah Return Center and The Faithful Galileans sends this on
Israel Ambassador Academy . Israel is in the headlines again. Protests. Conflict. Political shifts. Spiritual war. Everyone seems to have something to say. But what about the truth? What about the biblical narrative that undergirds it all? The question is: Are you ready to speak into it with wisdom, clarity, and conviction? The Online Israel Ambassador Academy (IAA) exists to equip you — with truth, with Spirit, with understanding. Here is where you can learn what God's heart is for Israel.      ALSO 9/12 “As for Charlie Kirk: What a huge loss for the world! People were devastated here in Israel as well, some thought he would have been the next president of the United States.” ….. In times like these
—when the world feels almost unrecognizable compared to what it was before October 7th—more than ever, we must turn our eyes to our Heavenly Father.  As it says in 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If My people who are called by My Name

From Israel Pochtar in Ashdod of the Beit Hallel congregation: Watch Now as Israel Pochtar shares from the ancient port city of Jaffa—Yafo | Awakened by Eternity | This is such a meaningful time on God’s calendar—Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot each point us to His faithfulness, His redemption, and His promise to dwell with His people forever. Here in Israel, we are not only witnessing these prophetic signs, but also taking part in them. Every new family that returns to the Land is a living testimony that God keeps His Word. And every act of kindness we extend—whether through food baskets, prayer, sharing the Gospel, or a simple word of encouragement—is a way of joining Him in His great plan of restoration. | Call for Salvation in Israel | These are not just holidays on a calendar — they are God’s appointed times, moments woven into His eternal plan when He calls His people to awaken

Josie Silver writes for
Out of Zion Ministries about Jews returning to the Jewish homeland of Israel. “Even the stork in the sky knows her appointed times; and the turtledove, the swift, and the thrush observe the time of their migration." — Jeremiah 8:7 | “     Aliyah is also fascinating and a phenomenon. No other nation has ever been scattered for thousands of years, only to be restored, resurrected, and regathered to its ancient homeland, reviving even its ancient language. Only Israel. Israel lives and returns, because God has written His promise into their very identity. Just as the birds cannot help but return along their appointed paths, the Jewish people carry within them a divine “code” — a calling and instinct that will continue to draw them home until every prophecy is fulfilled. Our God wants his people home to protect and save spiritually and naturally.” To subscribe to the prayer letter containing article also write Stefan Silver.

Guy Cohen of the Harvest of Asher in Acco writes, “Often, we don’t realize or give enough thought to the power of the truth and how much difference if can make, even between life and death. Only by knowing and accepting the truth that Yeshua is the Messiah, will we gain eternal life.
Also: “We are warned in 2 Thessalonians 2:10 of those who perish through deception, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. However, we need not fear, Yeshua gave us his Spirit to guide us through even the deception which surrounds us. He also gave us the assurance that we would be able to hear His voice and follow Him. (John 10:3-4) Our sincere prayer is that He may grant us ears to hear His guiding voice, courage to receive and love the truth and upright ways to follow in His footsteps as David prayed in Psalm 119:5 “May my ways be steady in observing your laws.”

Rania Sayegh of the House of Prayer & Exploits in Nazareth writes,  “We are only 12 DAYS away from Arab Deborah's Arising 2025! We are expecting 200 local Arab women from the region who have registered for this year's gathering…. God is awakening Arab women across the Middle East, Deborah's rising in boldness, worship, and intercession. In 12 days, they’ll gather in the Galilee for Arab Deborah’s Arising 2025, a powerful time of equipping, encounter, and commissioning. We need your help to get them there: $150 sponsors one woman. $20,000 covers the full need. We are 60% toward our goal. Will you sow into this prophetic move? …. Here’s how you can take part: Watch the update video from Rania| Pray with us: cover the women, the land, and the vision | Give a seed of faith and Sponsor a Deborah | Share this with others who carry a heart for the region | We can’t do this without your partnership.

Last but not least! Avi and Hannah Tekel of Tents of Mercy in Kiryat Yam check in with us at the end of a long scorching summer and in time for a report on their annual summer kid’s camp – which because of Houthi fire they were not sure they would be able to do – but they did and camp was a great success. Then  “A week after camp we had a fantastic day of summer fun and congregational bonding at a municipal pool that we were able to reserve only for our use. The pool and grounds looked out over Tabor Mountain (historically considered the Mount of Transfiguration). Swimming, playing and eating together - we were also a little bit transformed :-) and blessed to have a break from our regular routine. It was a special opportunity to spend time with one another and get some respite from the stressful season we have been through.
Now the school year has begun and we are in the midst of preparations for our annual Rosh Hashanah food basket distribution which will take place next week (written 9/11. This is such a critical time for our nation and as is customary before the High Holy Days, people have begun the process of asking forgiveness for the year's sins and misdeeds. We are certainly asking for mercy from the Sovereign Lord for the impossibly difficult state our nation is in.
Prayer Points | Provision and success for the Holiday Food Distribution - Rosh Hashanah 2025 | Wisdom for our government and a breakthrough for an agreement that will set the hostages free and allow us all to move towards recovery from these years of war | Health for various congregational members struggling with sicknesses, S, V, A, L, R (initials of the people in need of prayer) | Grace and inspiration as we set out the plans for projects in the coming year. |
