I AM Zealous for ZION says the LORD
by
Donna Diorio
August 27,
2025: Last night a cool breeze blew in
to Dallas indicating an early season change. Now I realize that last night was
also "Rosh Kodesh," the
start of the month of Elul and the
40 days of Teshuvah that lead us to
the Fall Feasts.
Here's
the meaning of those Hebrew words:
Last night was "Rosh Kodesh/the
beginning of the month," the start of the month of "Elul/Harvest," and the 40
days of "Teshuvah/repentance,"
but its literal and more accurate meaning is "return," that leads us to the biblical Fall
Feasts of the LORD.
The Fall Feasts of God are prophetic
pictures in Israel’s restoration and are
detailed in Leviticus 23, the Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah/Rosh Hashanah), the
Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), and the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot).
The day of Atonement we know is the
Atonement for our sins made by Yeshua, the sacrificial Lamb of God, but I
believe in the prophetic picture of the Fall Feasts it also represents the period when Jewish and Gentile
believers in the faith of Yeshua, come
in a unity for the harvest as one
new man, or at-one-ment! This has not fully come in to being yet, only the
beginnings, but at-one-ment is just like
the prayer of Yeshua in John 17:18
John 17:18 As You sent Me
into the world, I have also sent them into the world. 19 For them I sanctify Myself, so that they too may be
sanctified by the truth. 20 I am not asking
on behalf of them alone, but also on behalf of those who will believe in Me
through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, as You, Father, are in Me,
and I am in You. May they also be in Us, so that the world may believe that
You sent Me. 22 I have given them the glory You gave Me, so that they may
be one as We are one - 23 I in them and You in Me—that they may be perfectly united, so that the world
may know that You sent Me and have loved them just as You have loved Me.
This is the season change – the cool breeze of the Holy Spirit that has
blown in indicating a season change. Now is the time for Israel-supporting
Christians to awaken to that God is calling for MORE from Christians than was
asked of them in the restoration of the State of Israel. Now is the time for us
to participate with the body of Messiah in Israel toward the spiritual
awakening of “all Israel.” We do this as “one new man” (at-one-ment) with our
Jewish brothers and sisters in Messiah – And VICE VERSA!
In the establishment of the State of
Israel it was enough for Christians to give support that not focused on the
spiritual harvest that God is now bringing in the Land of Israel. Now we have
to turn our eyes and efforts to help those Israeli Jews, the body of Messiah
Yeshua in the Land of Israel in their outreach among their people. They need
our support – prayer, financial and hands on volunteer assist – to do all that
God has put in their hearts to bring the Gospel to “all Israel.” With so many
Israelis in distress because of war, I see a new press on many ministries to
take their message into the highways and byways. Let us help them in this
Harvest.

Plant Hope Israel’s Jennifer Guetta sends an excerpt from her new
book on the Feast of Trumpets: “The King is in the Field, the month of
Elul and the Feast of Trumpets. The Hebrew month of Elul starts a period of 40 days of
repentance, leading up to the Feast of Trumpets and Yom Kippur. During this time, we prepare our hearts
for the coming of the bridegroom - The King of Glory…. The month of Elul, the sixth month on the
religious calendar
(and the last on the civil calendar) is a special one. It is said that during
biblical times, the kings of Israel would go out into the fields and meet with
the common people. The king’s usual place was in the palace, and it was very
difficult for the common people to reach him. They had to go through all kinds
of bureaucracy to be able to talk to the king and reach the throne room. But
there were special times when the king went out to meet the people. They could
approach him directly and the king would receive them with open arms. Even
peasants were able to reach the king this way. What an amazing reference this is to Jesus! God, the King,
descended in earthly form and reached out to all people so they could come to
know Him.”

From Reuven Doron, “The
Collapse of the Middle East | While Israel is wrestling through the intensifying birth-pains
of the coming Messianic Kingdom, all who
are positioned here by God’s purpose are playing their part. The warriors fight; the leaders lead;
the worshipers worship; the intercessors intercede; and us, the Messianic
Believers in Israel, are standing in the gap and lifting Jesus up as First
Fruits of the coming national revival. Thank you for your prayers and
support. . . .
“Every Arab or Muslim nation in the Middle East is in a bad state
economically, socially, and politically. Those who
are in open conflict with Israel are worse than the others if
you compare Egypt and Jordan (who have peace agreements with Israel) to Gaza,
Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Iran, all of whom are in severe stages of internal collapse.
Apart from Israel which is upheld by God’s own decree and purpose, every other Middle Eastern country is caught in
destructive Catch-22 dilemmas that get worse by the day. Their
mafia governments, riddled with corruption and rot, cannot implement any
positive or productive policies that will benefit their peoples. Their
economies are primitive, lacking any innovative growth engines to offer their
population a future and a hope. Their fake national identities are rapidly
disintegrating while tribal affiliations are emerging as the only viable
social framework that can protect them.
While
Israel prepares to “bite the bullet” and take over the entire Gaza Strip,
correcting our historic mistake of pulling out of it in 2005, Lebanon, Syria, and even Jordan are edging
toward increasing internal disintegration and the threat of civil wars. Look
at Lebanon as a case in point.
The fledgling nation is trying to
free itself from the deadly grip of Hezbollah that has worked its tentacles
into its political, economical, financial, and social fabric. Sadly, not
having an ideological or spiritual backbone, Lebanon embraced the terror
organization that masqueraded itself as a social and economical game
changer in the early years. However, like cancer,
the Jihadi Muslim hatred of Israel has grown to suffocate its host.
Global
Impact | The Israel-Iran war was a fault line in American-Chinese
relations. Iran, a country that China and Russia relied on militarily and
energetically, was not only humiliated by Israel but also ignored by the BRICS
nations axis during her demise.
While
Israel dismantled the Shiite “Ring of Fire” that was created for her
destruction, it also unraveled the
China-Russia-Iran axis. This is the reason President Trump can
now move forcefully with his global peace and economic initiatives. Israel is entering a very unique niche as a
“bridge” between Asia and the West as it gathers greater control in the Middle
East. The disintegration of Syria and Lebanon leaves the Arab world
incapable of establishing its own trade route, while the soon dissolution of
the PLO and the elimination of Gaza are gradually removing the Arab leverage
over Israel. Interesting days are ahead.
With a weakened Iran, President
Trump has been able to stabilize the situation with China; negotiate peace
between Azerbaijan and Armenia (creating American control over the Asian
region), and will hopefully make progress in his talks with Putin. A
weakened Iran has created disappointment in China as the number 3 country in
the global Chinese - Russian - Iranian axis was humiliated in only 12 days of war
while the supporting axis were unable to come to her help either politically or
militarily.
The Iranian collapse tells Russia
and China that the US is not afraid to send its bombers, and that it has a
“trigger happy” Israeli ally whose military capabilities are unmatched. Neither
China nor Russia gave their patron countries freedom to act, while Israel is
reshaping the Middle East.
In our opinion, and for your prayers, Israel must
continue to (1) leverage these geopolitical achievements, (2) maintain
control over what’s going on in Syria and Lebanon, (3) erase the faulty and
unimplementable concept of a "Palestinian state," (4) continue to
push for the emigration of all hostile Gazans, (5) annihilate Hamas, (6) expand
its sovereignty in Judea and Samaria, and (7) continue to grow economically,
demographically, and technologically.
. . . .Israel is a miracle nation, and the fact
that we are thriving in the midst of a prolonged war and heart wrenching
circumstances is a tribute to God’s care, faithfulness, and purpose. Much of our workforce is deployed; the national
economy bears the immense cost of this prolonged war: our population is
emotionally stretched and stressed; and many do not take vacations abroad
due to increasing anti-semitic violent assaults in many nations.
Thank you for your prayers for the witness to continue to
grow strong throughout Israel; for the Peace of Jerusalem to arise; for
our hostages; for our warriors, many of whom have seen too many horrors; for
our grieving families; and for our decision makers. We are praying for you from
Zion. Be encouraged, Israel is your EXAMPLE,
and God can draw a straight line using a crooked stick.

Revive Israel community
is served by a faithful team who urges us in hear the word of James 5:7, “Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the
coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the
earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains.”
In the same way, our spiritual lives
require intentional sowing. We are planting in the field of our hearts,
anticipating the return of Yeshua. Our world is filled with wars, struggles,
and division, yet here in Israel, there is a real sense that His return is
near. It is the perfect moment to ask ourselves: What am I sowing in my heart
today that will bear good fruit when Yeshua returns? How am I investing my
time? What are my priorities? If He comes tomorrow, where will I be?
…. Just
as we prepare the fields, planning what to plant, how the season will look,
what we will offer at the market, and which seedlings will bless the community
around us, we are also called to prepare
our hearts for the return of Yeshua, King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
We invite you to join us in prayer:
For our nation: Pray for unity, wisdom, and
peace, as there is much division and conflict between the people and the
government. | For
our hearts and actions: Pray that we may be a light shining in the
darkness, wherever we are. | For our upcoming discipleship program: Pray
for wisdom in planning, the right participants, smooth logistics, and that
every aspect of the program would be Spirit-led.

Heart of
G-d minister, Carolyn Hyde “Upon arriving back from Armenia, I
met a young combat soldier on the bus home. We talked about the journey and
I mentioned that before the trip I had dreams and visions. When I told him
that יהוה had fulfilled everything I dreamt about,
he was SO excited and exclaimed that he wanted to hear from G-d too! …. After a very rich conversation, he
said he's not sure about Yeshua, but he had renewed hope. Please pray for T and remember what our soldiers and hostages need
most is to know they are not forgotten.
Through dreams and a vision I saw
myself taking a scroll and writing on it the scriptures that proclaimed the
evil that Babylon had committed. I was to take the scroll, bind it with a
rock and throw it in deep water. In the
meantime I received an invitation to come to Armenia. Searching the L-rd
about this vision and if I should go to Armenia or not I was reading scripture
and came across Jeremiah 51. To my
surprise I discovered that Jeremiah was called to do the same thing G-d
had told me to do! In addition, I
discovered that the four people groups that G-d said would come against Babylon
originate in or near Armenia. So this was why G-d was calling me to do this
prophetic act in Armenia!
On the final day in Armenia we drove to the purest lake in
the Alpine region near Mount Ararat and, while throwing the scroll into the
water, a family picnicking behind us quietly watched. Afterwards the mother
came over and said, “You all have the light of Messiah on you.” The young
father gave us salty bread while the older father poured cups of raspberry
juice for each of us. A friend waved her Noah covenant flag over this precious
family and another friend later realized we took communion with this family
of eight, the same number on Noah's ark! The Yatzidi pastors who joined us said they’d been waiting for
years for this moment and our drivers
gladly carried the first Bibles in Yazidi back to their people in Yerevan!
One of the highlights in Armenia
was meeting Rafael, a teen who was desperate for prayer but unintentionally
ignored after the service. I noticed his hopelessness as he left and when I
said, "I can see that you're not just pursuing religion", he
grabbed me and wept in such despair, causing me to wonder how many others I may
have missed. Oh יהוה, let us be watchmen for the young,
giving them hope, attention and beauty for ashes!
While
speaking life over a spiritually dark area, this whirlwind suddenly appeared
and we were given Proverbs 10:25 to declare! "When
the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more, But
the righteous has an everlasting foundation." The love for Israel was evident in many of the churches
where we ministered, but still
I asked for forgiveness for Israel's role in the recent war as we aided Azerbaijan with
intel and weapons when they attacked Armenia in 2020, inflicting heavy losses.”
(Think about how
profound the Armenian love for Israel could only exist with forgiveness of this
fact of the 2020 assistance Israel gave to Azerbaian!)

How
Misinformation Finances Terror.
Chaim: In
this episode, I sit down with Alejandra Barav, former television host and media
expert, to expose the dark connection between misinformation campaigns and
terror financing.
We are in a media crisis! In a world
overflowing with information—tweets, headlines, endless articles, and
constant commentary—we find ourselves asking: What is true? Each day we’re bombarded with voices, opinions, and perspectives. In times like these, when misinformation spreads faster than light, it’s more important than
ever to cultivate discernment. And discernment grows when we keep our eyes
fixed on the Kingdom and God’s truth.
In this war in Israel, information has
been weaponized. In the interview above, one of the points
Alejandra makes is that, “lies spread faster than truth.” This is not something
new. A 2018 study, based on interviews and surveys, found that lies spread six
times faster than truth! And when lies
are shared by verified accounts and influencers, the danger only multiplies. Often, it takes time to uncover the truth.
You must gather facts, verify information, and interview witnesses. Meanwhile, if lies are running rampant, by the time
the truth is confirmed, the damage has already been done. Alejandra Barav laments how the “media is
trading truth for speed.”
A
new player in the information scene is AI. It is a powerful tool, capable of
creating realistic images and unverified content. This makes it easier than
ever to generate information—whether true or not. I
highly recommend listening to the conversation above, which can help you grow
in discernment and recognize truth in the media.

Acco a northern port city is where Guy Cohen leads the Harvest of Asher
congregation in his birthplace. I remember when the congregation first opened,
a daughter congregation of Tents of Mercy, led by Eitan Shishkoff. And I have
had the opportunity to meet Guy Cohen several times, here in Dallas and also in
Israel. When he writes the message, Pursue love, I know it is not just a sermon
for Guy, but it is his spiritual ethic. He writes, “that no matter what gifts we have, or how much faith we have, or
even how much we give to others of material things or of ourselves; without love,
everything loses meaning. For this reason, we should make love our priority
over all else.
What
is this love which we should pursue? |
Love is the Fulfillment of the Law (Romans 13:8) Let
no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for
whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. | Love is Action, Not Just Emotion (1 Corinthians 13:4-7) | Biblical love is not just feelings; it’s choices. We choose to
forgive, to help someone in need and to encourage others. Yeshua’s selfless act
of laying down His life for others is our greatest example. (John 15:13) | Love is the True Motive of Ministry (1
Corinthians 14:1)
| Paul connects love with
spiritual gifts noting that without love they divide, but with love they build
up the body. Before using our gifts, we should check our motive, asking ; “Am I
doing this to be seen, or because I love God and His people?”
Love is
not just a nice feeling, thought or emotion; it is the core of our faith. Love is the greatest pursuit, the
fulfillment of the law, and the heartbeat of ministry. To walk in love is to
walk in God, for “God is love.” (1 John 4:8) Every day ask yourself: “Am
I pursuing love?”
| “Am I paying my debt of
love to others?”
| “Am I letting love be
the motive for all I do?”
| When we pursue love, we
reflect Yeshua, because Yeshua Himself is love.
