Holy Journey to a Spiritually Significant Historic Site
to cry out for Israel Outpouring
Reported by Donna
Diorio
Last week in this prayer summary Guy Cohen who leads the Harvest of Asher
congregation in Acco, wrote without fanfare about his visit to Pirate’s Cove to
cry aloud for God to visit Israel in an outpouring like was poured out in that
place in the late Sixties and Seventies. He went alone, again without fanfare.
The next day I would see a post on X
about the annual baptism event by Greg Laurie of Harvest Church. Laurie and his
wife were both saved in the Jesus Movement of the 1960-70’s and have hosted this
event for past 35 years. In 2024 they baptized 4,500 people, drawn together
with some 28 other churches. The person who posted it on X must have thought
the 2025 event had just taken place in the way it was presented with great
excitement of the largest baptism on record indicating a revival.
For years in the church we have
heard prophetic words about how God is going to pour out His Spirit on young
people. That is what God did in the Sixties and Seventies Jesus Movement and it
had a major impact of the creation of Messianic Judaism. There were many Jewish
young people swept up in the Jesus Movement, and not only did God save Jewish
young people, He led them into developing a new thing —Messianic Judaism. It
was really a return to an old thing, the first century expression of faith in
Yeshua as Israel’s Messiah in Jewish context. So many of these young Jews had
the same prompting from God that Messianic Judaism began to grow, congregations
formed and in due season quite a few of them immigrated and became the pioneers
of Messianic Judaism in Israel. That location is exactly where God wanted to
establish the witness of faith in Yeshua in a Jewish context.
Jews and Christians have been in an
uproar ever since. Before Messianic Judaism, Jews who believed in Jesus just
joined traditional churches. Many of them think it is unnecessary to express
faith in a Jewish context. A lot of Christians don’t like it either, also
concluding it as unnecessary, that to be one, Jews just need to join a church.
Many Christians regard it as Jewish believers in Jesus trying to come back
under the Old Covenant. They cannot see it in terms of authentic first century
Messianic faith in Israel.
God had something distinctly in mind
causing all those young Jews, newly saved, to begin thinking in terms of
continuing to live in a Jewish context. I believe that was God preparing them
for providing that witness in Israel as God would continue to bring Jews back
from the four corners of the earth to the restored Promised Land.
Now Guy Cohen is not one of pioneers
of the Jesus Movement. He is a native Israeli from a rabbinic family. The
Messianic congregation he leads is in the city of Acco, also his birthplace. He
was spiritually mentored by one of the Jesus Movement pioneers in a nearby
city, Eitan Shishkoff of the Tents of Mercy congregation. It seems so fitting
to me that this young man, Guy wanted to visit that place, Pirate’s Cove, were
so many of the hippie Boomers were baptized. As he wrote last week, it came
about when he accepted the invitation to share in Los Angeles so near to
Pirate’s Cove. He wanted to go to cry out to God for such an outpouring on
Israel. He went alone and prayed alone, but it seems to me, even all by himself
surely a prophetic act he was carrying out.
I contacted Guy Cohen to learn more
from him what led to his visit to Pirate’s Cove. He wrote back that five months
ago, he and his wife, watched a movie called The Jesus Revolution. The movie is
actually based on the autobiographical book by Greg Laurie as he, Lonnie
Frisbie and Chuck Smith took part in the Jesus movement in California.
Guy Cohen writes, “When I received this invitation (to Los
Angeles), I truly felt it was from God. I hadn’t left Israel for quite some
time due to the situation here, but this seemed like divine direction. The main
reason I accepted the invitation was so I could visit Pirate’s Cove—a place
where the Holy Spirit touched the lives of so many young people and changed
their life for the Glory of God. My desire was to go there, pray, and seek God
for a similar move of the Holy Spirit here in Israel.”
“It wasn’t about my own plans,” he
explains, “I simply felt I needed to set foot on that ground, to pray, and to
seek a fresh encounter with the Holy Spirit. I also prayed for direction on how
to bring revival to the young people in Israel, and for a powerful move of God
among my people. Every step of this journey was led by the Holy Spirit—not by
me.”
I have met Guy Cohen several times
over the years and have always seen a great humility in him. I have also seen a
great anointing from God on this young man, which is why I began to get excited
about him visiting the Pirate’s cove baptism site.
Over the years we have seen a great many repentance
and forgiveness events in places that historic wrongs were committed against
Jews. My sense was Guy’s visit to the place God poured out salvation on both
gentiles and Jews, marked a Divine change of direction in the future of both
Christians and Messianic Jews. Coming together as one, as God desires of us.
Let us pray into Guy Cohen’s
prayer at Pirate’s Cove, for another outpouring on Jews, especially in Israel
— not only for the witness it
will bear to Jews worldwide that Yeshua is the real Messiah, but also because
an outpouring on gentiles worldwide will multiply as the blessing of Israel’s
spiritual restoration by faith in Yeshua/Jesus continues to increase . Can I
get an amen?

Requests Israeli Ministries
This week turned out to have a theme of “Generation” running through
most of the ministry letters.
From Revive Israel a report on their
2024 Camp Connexion in France where
Israeli teens, both Jewish and Arab met with French teens in a camp where
they could worship, pray, laugh & cry together in the presence of God. For
those from Israel it was “more than just a summer getaway—it became a
sacred refuge. A place where they could
breathe deeply, find rest for their souls, and meet peers from another nation
who embraced them with love and unity.” It was a “one new man” encounter for a
teen generation. “Through worship, teaching, and heart-level conversations,
these youth found the strength to stand in faith—despite the storms around
them. Many left the camp ready to walk boldly with Yeshua and even share their
faith back home.” The Revive Team who
made this possible for them writes, “These teens are the next generation of
believers in Israel—living under threat, facing spiritual and emotional
battles, yet hungry for truth. Will you sow into their future? You can be part of
this story.” GIVE Today

Fields of Wheat has been without their Katzir (Harvest) Camp
director, Joel Jelski, who has been engaged in the warfare in Israel, serving
in the IDF, which is but one of many of the type of challenges Israeli
ministries have been facing during the long season of war. Many family members
– children, grandchildren, spouses and siblings are also serving. It is
stressful to say the least.
All of that is why team member Ruby
Bishai’s exciting report on how they have brought Sports Tournaments into the
Fields of Wheat umbrella and already they are seeing great things emerge. For
one, the teams are bringing young believers in together for times of play. Ruby
reports that last month for a volleyball game in Netanya, “almost a hundred
young believers from all across Israel came together to participate, and almost
150 more came to cheer on the teams. The energy was electric.” The game was
dedicated “to honor the memory of Urija Bayer, a dear friend, a brother in the
faith, and a fellow believer who paid the ultimate price defending our nation
in December 2023.” Ruby writes, “The spirit was different - vibrant, but
deeply honoring. We opened with prayer, wearing special shirts designed by
Urija’s sister, and throughout the evening, the name of Yeshua was lifted up
over everything we did. It wasn’t just a tournament.
It was a declaration: God is still good. Even in
the midst of loss, even in the face of heartbreak, we stand together, and we
move forward in faith. Here’s a news report of the event YouTube
VIDEO
“….I believe these tournaments are
going to play a strategic role in strengthening the body of Messiah in Israel, especially
this generation. We’ve already seen that through the tournaments, real
communities begin to grow. New groups of believers started meeting regularly in
Haifa, Jerusalem, and Be’er Sheva to play together, pray together, and
strengthen one another. . . .Please pray for this next chapter We’ll be
continuing with the youth camps and the support of our soldiers. These tournaments
are a natural outgrowth of the years spent building relationships of trust with
Israel’s next generation.
Sounds like good results! Please GIVE to Help Fields of Wheat Equip Our Youth
A beautiful picture accompanied the City of Life’s email about their Summer Camp
– Healing the Hearts of the Future Generation in Israel . A young girl in the crowd of kids wiping a tear
from her eye. This year Michael and Dina Beener will hold a camp for “more than
50 Messianic youth and teenagers from southern Israel, supported by a team of
dedicated volunteers. The camp will be a space to strengthen essential values
such as friendship, care, trust, and loyalty, taught through biblical
principles and inspired by the heroes of Scripture.” There is no one in Israel
who are not suffering from the trauma of war. Children are especially
vulnerable and I have noticed a special heart in this ministry for children.
Maybe because the Sderot community is so close to Gaza, all the people there
have been suffering from the shell shock of Hamas rockets for years before the
Oct 7th 2023 war broke out. How can a ministry not have a special
heart for the children subjected to these hardships all their lives? Michael
& Dina do carry that heart. They write, “Every gift makes a difference in
bringing healing, hope, and purpose to these young lives. Thank you for being
part of their story. Read more and give here | Also they
write about the persecution that relentlessly comes against them from the
religious influencing the city to take actions against them. Watch this VIDEO

Jennifer Guetta of Plant Hope Israel
has exciting news about the pre-release of her new Children’s book on Amazon’s
ebook/kindle. “Treasure of Zion is a
fast-paced adventure and historical novel based on the newest excavations in
the City of David in Jerusalem. It is for ages 8 and up, but adults love to
read it as well.” Jennifer writes, “Officially the book is coming out on the
1st of June, but thanks to the preorders, the book has already become #1 on
Amazon new releases for historical novels for kids and for Christian children
books…. I NEED YOUR HELP. The Amazon algorithm works in such a way that the
bookstores look at how many preorders there are and that determines if they
will buy it. Would you be able to help and bring this book to the public by
preordering the book and telling your friends about it? It is now only
$5,99 (normally $7,99). Even if you don't have kindle it helps me enormously
to get this book out. Perhaps see this as a sponsorship to get the book to the
next generation and help them understand Jerusalem. CLICK HERE

Jennifer also wrote about the two
new age festivals that many of the ministries in Israel were praying about. “Sadly there are many Israeli's who are dabbling in
new age and kabbala.… people are gathering with drugs, trans music and
many more awful things. We really feel God's indignation, judgment and anger
about these things and we are praying for a purification of the land and for
people to turn back to God and get to know their Messiah Yeshua…. we also found out that the (Uniburn) festival is being held,
literally next to where the Hebrew version of my book is being stored. My container is literally standing by the entrance! I
have prayed for many months to the Lord for God to help us distribute the
books. Now, God sent the people to us! Exciting! Pray that many will
receive the book and be set free.
Reuven Doron wrote another exceptional newsletter commenting on how
their village was spared of being overtaken in the terrorist arson-fires and
also sharing his perspectives on what was at the time of his writing Trump’s
upcoming trip to the Middle East. I have to say that I share the same concerns
and views as Reuven – and many other Israeli believers. A Trump supporter
myself, I know Americans don’t want to hear it but I believe Reuven nailed it
when he wrote that Trump’s trip raised “high
hopes for advancing a historic deal with Saudi Arabia” yet the trip also saw “American
Foreign Policy regarding Gaza, the Houthis, and the Iranian Ayatollahs seemed
to have marvelously relaxed overnight.” I am holding out hope that this
applies more to Trump’s cabinet leaders with him than it does with him. I still
believe God has His hand on Trump to do good for Israel. Relaxing foreign
policy expectations on Hamas, Houthis & the Ayatollahs will not do ANY good
whatsoever towards Israel.
Reuven also wrote “Naive Western leaders who crave the approval of their muslim voters continue to host
and embrace the new Syrian (ex-terrorist) “President” while turning a blind
eye to the atrocities going on in his “Syria.” While Abu Mohammad al-Julani may be wearing
a business suit these days, his Sunni terror militias continue to slaughter,
rape, and pillage Alawite, Christian, Kurdish, and Druze minorities…. Thousands of Druze refugees are flocking back to
the “Druze Mountain” region in southern Syria where they are protected by
Israeli fire power from the Jihadi Syrian Sunni militias. In fact, the IDF has just established a hospital
in southern Syria to treat Druze wounded fighters.
In recent
days, Syrian flags were pulled down while the Druze flags alongside Israel’s
flags were lifted up over the Druze Mountain region. As we have written
before, we pray and expect that Israel will establish its area of protectorate
in southern Syria, drive away the hostiles, and secure a safe zone for the
Druze who have always been good neighbors to Israel.”
What is happening with Syria is of
great concern. Nothing trustworthy of the new Syrian Terrorist-President. Reuven
goes through each problem spot that got white washed in reporting of the Trump
Middle East results. I encourage you to write him and subscribe to his mailing list.
From Tikkun Global, Asher Intrater
also discusses the same issue, in Abrahamic
Accords Expanded? Is there likely to
be an expanded Abrahamic Accords for peaceful relationships with Israel and its
Arab neighboring countries? No one can say for sure, but here is my
perspective. No political solution can bring full peace. Long-lasting peace
can only happen when people's hearts are changed. You can't just sign an
agreement on paper when people still hate one another on the inside. That will
fall apart or explode, sooner or later…. However, that does not mean
that it is not God's will for us to live in peace now, for whatever measure
possible. I believe there will be a temporary period of peace here in the
Middle East. How full that peace is and how long it will last depends on
many factors. Read more online

It is hard for me to imagine how Chaim Malespin is so
engaged in combat, but also in ministry too, seemingly on a daily basis. I see
a very spiritually grounded individual in that. Pray for him. In just one of his recent writings he
spoke of the Ukrainian Jewish poet who composed the words to Israel’s national
anthem, Naftali Herz Imber, in 1878. Later another would put it to music,
Samuel Cohen, but it was the words that inspired Jews all over the world. Chaim
wrote, “The song spread throughout the Jewish communities, bringing hope and
inspiration.” I have no doubt whatsoever
that God put those words into Imber’s heart to pen, and also stirred
every Jew who heard it to realize that is what they longed for too. “As long as in the heart within | A Jewish
soul still yearns, | And onward, towards the ends of the East, | An eye still
gazes toward Zion; | Our hope is not yet lost, | The hope of two thousand
years, | To be a free nation in our land, | The land of Zion and Jerusalem.”
Chaim continued: “In April 1945,
shortly after British forces liberated the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp,
Jewish survivors, weak and traumatized, gathered together and spontaneously
sang Hatikvah together with the little strength that they had left. Little
did they know that in three years, this dream would be fulfilled.”
On
another day Chaim wrote, “Things are intense right now. Therefore, it is on our
heart to rally everyone to intensify their prayers for Israel this month. You
can join the Altar of
Prayer to join believers around the
world in praying for Israel. Ask God to give you a scripture to pray over
Israel, and declare it every day of this month. Also please consider helping to

Israel, during the Biblical festivals God Himself ordained, the Good News is
not just spoken. It is encountered. This
Shavuot is the perfect opportunity for Voice of Judah Israel to act. God
is moving, so should our ministry. When we share the Word of God during the
Biblical High Holy Days, the message carries a supernatural weight and urgency.
It is as though the Bible steps off the pages and into the streets – into the
very hearts of the people who so desperately need an encounter with the
Living God. During Shavuot our ministry is stepping out in faith with
an intentional strategy to share the Gospel right in the heart of Jerusalem.
Now, more than ever, Israelis need to hear that salvation is the ultimate
fulfillment of God’s promises. Yeshua is the long-awaited hope of Israel,
the Word made flesh, and we have the extraordinary privilege of declaring
this Good News where it all first began. … Shavuot

From Out of Zion, the Silver’s writh about the Fire and Flames, contrasting the “Hamas Flames of Fury verses Jewish torches of Glory…. Hamas calls their flames, flames of freedom, but these are not symbolic lanterns, but fires of destruction. We, Israel, use our torches to represent freedom. There is an eternal flame in the soul of this nation and in the people that cannot be quenched. Song of Songs 8:7 - "Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it." Continuing, “When the fires of our enemies rage around us, in our darkest moments, we know they will never extinguish the glow that shines on this miraculous, amazing nation. How do we know this ? Because the God of Israel, said, He is the Keeper or the Guardian of this nation, Israel. He is surrounding this eternal flame and watching over it, protecting it, to make sure it is never snuffed out. God said in Matthew 10:9 - "What God has joined together let no man separate. Israel, is also like the root system of an olive tree – indestructible. Israel and the God of this nation, are inseparable, because of a marriage covenant. And He will not let anyone, or anything separate Him from His people or His nation.”
Avi Mizrachi of Dugit Outreach
Ministries writes the good news of how the LORD has provided for them a new
lease for the ministry: “Thankfully, we will still have a roof
over our heads until we can secure a permanent home.” Now they are free to focus on the
upcoming Shavuot holiday with the knowledge that like all those years since the
opening of the Book of Acts, “The Spirit
Is Moving in Israel…AGAIN!” Avi assures that even with the last minute
move, “we have not stopped doing the work of the ministry.
In fact, we are leaning into it, believing God to do even more! Our Distribution Center
continues to meet increasing needs of families and individuals struggling to
make ends meet due to the war and inflation. Our Outreach Teams are ministering to
the many hurting people who have been deeply shaken and are looking for meaning
during this difficult time in Israel. We are distributing Hebrew and Russian bibles
and evangelistic materials as we invite people into conversations that plant
the seeds of eternal life.”
Avi writes, “I believe that now is a time of spiritual harvest. The
same Spirit who was poured out on Pentecost is continuing through our ministry
today—and we are honored to be His hands and feet in Israel. BUT WE
CANNOT DO THIS ALONE. Would you prayerfully consider giving
a special gift during this season? …. Please give your most generous Pentecost offering today to help us
reach the lost and hurting in Israel. Be blessed in the name of Yeshua, Avi

This is a Profound Mystery — “one new man”
by Donna Diorio
I was so struck with the Out of Zion’s use of Matthew 10:9 “What God has joined, let no man separate,” and the
pointing out that “Israel and the God of
this nation, are inseparable, because of a marriage covenant.” It’s
because just days ago I wrote a two part article I called “And so all
Israel Shall be saved”
and used the exact same scripture to describe what God wants in the unity of
Jew and Gentile from Ephesians 2:14.
I had not
read what the Silver’s wrote in their letter, nor what Asher Intrater would
speak in his Thursday Global broadcast (“This is a profound mystery” as I named
my part 2 article a couple of days ago).
God speaks and many who are listening
hear the same things. It is a beautiful confirmation of what we are hearing
from the Spirit.
The Two Shall Become One
In the first of the two-part article, And so shall
Israel be saved Pt 1 I was focused on the great mystery of
Ephesians 2, how God is making out of two “one new man” in the faith of
Messiah. Also how the Apostle Paul says, “This mystery is profound” comparing
it to the marriage of husband and wife.
In Part 2 without
having ever having thought about it before, suddenly the Spirit dropped
into my thinking that the great mystery of God’s plans in the matter are in
seed form in Genesis 1-3. So
Marty Shoub’s book featured in the Tikkun ministry letter excited me. Shoub is
writing about “the formation” of one new man, and I was seeing a clear
foreshadow of the plan in Genesis! Marty’s books is To the Jew
First: The Formation of One New Man.
Now I firmly believe that the formation of “one new man” is
happening now, but I was the astounding evidence that God’s plan to do with is
revealed in seed form how God creates
man out of the dust of the earth, then creates a woman for the man by putting
the man to sleep, then taking the creation material directly from the created
body of the man.
You have probably heard the same as
I have — that all the plans of God are planted in seed form in Genesis. I got really excited to read about Marty
Shoub’s book, I want to get his email address so I can reach out share this
exciting thing.
Find the two articles on my FruitOfTheFigTree
blog. Donna Diorio
