Arrows 2025 May 3 Is there prophetic meaning in Israel's 77th Anniversary as a modern state? I believe so.

Israel’s 77th Independence Day
began at sundown Wednesday, April 30 and ended on Thursday, May 1.
by Donna Diorio

I believe there is a prophetic significance to the 77th anniversary of the restoration of the State of Israel and the chapter on forgiveness in Matthew 18. I believe that the physical restoration of Israel as a state in 1948 fulfilled the prophetic  Word of the Lord in Ezekiel 37:4-6. The State of Israel restored.
But today most of Israel is still not spiritually restored. To become spiritually restored Israelis must come to faith and be filled with the Holy Spirit. Everyone who comes to faith must receive God’s forgiveness in Yeshua. The spiritual restoration of Israel  is the mandated mission of the Israeli Messianic Jewish believers. They have been sharing the Gospel message of God’s forgiveness since 1948 when there were only a handful of them. Today many have already responded with some estimates at 15 to 20,000. But the national level of restoration spiritually has still not been seen.
On the 77th anniversary of Israel’s restoration of a State, I believe there is the promise of spiritual restoration increasing. I believe the message of Yeshua in Matthew 18 on forgiveness will be pivotal in every way.  For Israel to be restored spiritually as promised by God in the scriptures, there is going to have to be a lot of forgiveness released on all sides of the body in faith. Both Jews and Christians are going to have to forgive each other and that is the hard part about releasing forgiveness, because unforgiveness often involves trespasses that are in the natural “unforgiveable.”
I believe that both Jews and Christians could rightly be unforgiving of the other, IF WE WERE NOT CALLED BY GOD AS HIS PEOPLE. Forgiveness in not an optional requirement with God; it is necessity for us all to be sons of God.

When Peter came to Jesus in Matthew 18:21-22 asking how many times should he forgive his brother after the brother sinned against him. Peter ventured the guess 7 times, because that is the number of completion. But Yeshua answered Peter saying, not just 7 times, but 77 times ἑβδομηκοντάκις ἑπτά . Translated as 70 x 7, the Greek ἑβδομηκοντάκις = seventy and ἑπτά = seven or seventy-seven times. This 70 x 7 is said to be a Hebrew expression symbolizing an infinite number of times.
It must also noted that in obeying God by releasing forgiveness and continuing to choose forgiveness, does not mean we don’t remember what caused our unforgiveness and it certainly does not mean we tolerate evil. Forgiveness frees us from all the poison spiritual symptoms of unforgiveness.

I believe the 70 x7 forgiveness message is important and it will play a significant role in Israel to a new season of understanding the Gospel message, because of all the things that can be said of the Gospel Message, forgiveness is a major message. It is a missed "key to the kingdom." We receive God's forgiveness without realizing His expectation that His sons will bear His likeness in being forgiving ourselves. I would say it is the most critical area of being able to walk with God, to be able to forgive others as we have been forgiven. If we cannot forgive, we cannot transform into the likeness of Yeshua.

The 77th. I find something powerfully significant for Israel in that number. It is because of Matthew 18, the chapter Yeshua/Jesus focused on forgiveness and finished with a parable about what happens when God forgives us but we choose not to forgive others. Most believers do not understand what it means. Because what it means is if we hold onto unforgiveness, as some point our whole life will become hell on earth. This is because God stops forgiving us if we continue to hang onto unforgivenss with other.  We ALL must have the ongoing forgiveness from God for our own protection in life. But most Christians do not believe God requires us to forgive.
Many of us think we are allowed to hold onto our unforgivness toward certain people because we believe what they did cannot be forgiven. We think God won't do anything about the unforgivness we hold onto, but in fact there is a huge price to pay. Yeshua spelled it out in Matthew 18 the sins that are ongoing in our own lives, God ceases to forgive us of when we refuse to forgive others. Our own sins begin to mounts up against us, and as the parable put it, begins to overflow from our cup. Every unforgiven sin we put into that cup attracts demons to us. We are vulnerable lacking God’s ongoing forgiveness.  It gives legal standing demons to attack and afflict us in many varied ways.

When Yeshua said in John 14:30 “the prince of this world is coming and in Me he has nothing” – that is what He meant. There was no legal access to Yeshua by demons exploiting His vulnerabilities because he didn’t have any. But we have vulnerabilities even after we are saved due to the ways we continue to sin.  If we don’t walk in continually in forgiveness as a priority in life, it leaves us wide open demons. Our vulnerabilities are a demon magnet.

This happens to individuals and it happens to nations. It has happened to Israel, even the arson terrorism against Israel on Israel’s Independence Day, demonstrates how the demonic hatred was stirred up to try to burn Israel alive. It is all about stopping the spiritual restoration that is surely coming. I am NOT saying we do not fight with all our might against the demonic forces working in those trying to kill us and wipe us off the face of the earth. We do fight them. God will even anoint our warfare more and more as we to become forgivers.

At this 77th year of the establishment of the State of Israel, in the 77th year God is going to give revelation to  more and more Israelis about His forgiveness of them, and what their forgiveness of others releases in their lives that will set them free. Forgiveness is for us, not only for the ones who have acted against us. Our forgiveness of them can be the witness that brings them to faith, first it is for our freedom and victory against the problems of life.

Christians must be forgiving of Jews instead of becoming anti-Semitic because they see liberal Jews in their own nations standing on the side of ungodly, humanistic, anti-God political positions. This is in great part what is happening in the US among influential conservative, Christian political influencers. They have a failure to see God has a plan to spiritual restore Jews spiritually and that is why anti-Semitism in the nations is rising and pushing Jews to immigrate to Israel.

As for Messianic Jews, they must release forgiveness to Christians for failure to see God’s clear plan in His Word for uniting Jew and Gentile believers in Yeshua, into “one new man” – a necessity for Israeli Messianic Jews to fulfill the spiritual harvest in Israel, Israel’s spiritual restoration fulfilled. As for Jews who have not come to faith yet, the first thing they must accept God’s forgiveness for their sins lies in Yeshua. Only then will the Holy Spirit give them the power to release forgiveness to those whose trespasses have chained them with bitter unforgiveness.
Israel is deeply hurting right now. As if the Holocaust and all the pogroms that came before it in the last 2,000 of Christianity were not enough, their current struggle for existence with the demonic rage operating in Islamist terrorists has shown Israelis little compassion from the nations. No wonder we are commanded by God to, “Comfort, comfort My people,” says your God. “Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her warfare/hardship has been full-filled; her iniquity has been pardoned. For she has received from the hand of the LORD double for all her sins.” Isaiah 40:1-2

The 70 x 7 instruction that God has given us all in the Messiah is to keep our ability to walk in the goodness, grace and forgiveness of God in all the troubling days ahead when lawlessness and violence abounds. The only way to keep love alive in our hearts is the 70 x 7 formula.
In Israel's 77th year of restoration as a modern nation, I believe the message of forgiveness, God's and ours, is going to be revealed to Israelis in greater measure than ever before, resulting in increasing flow of new spiritual births throughout Israel. It will also redefine the spiritual life of those who already believe, but have not yet laid hold of the utmost importance of forgiveness in our own lives.

To be true sons of God, we must cross that divide, because loving like Him means forgiving.

Arrows from Zion
Summarized from the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests Israeli Ministries

Before proceeding, there has been much activity in Israel these past several days, with the terrorist-arson fires being set in forested areas. Many of the people you read about in this prayer summary had to be evacuated from their homes. Palestinians are calling for more fires to be set. Also the Israeli Air Force has conducted strikes in Syria where the terrorists under rule there began murdering villages of Druze and Christians. Israeli command sent their Air Force in to stop the carnage. Many sites have been hit, and Turkey and Russia also sent fighter planes into the air space in an attempt to intimidate Israelis. It was a ploy that did not work and sites continue to be hit by IAF today, Saturday. Please pray over these issues.

From Jennifer Guetta writes on  77 years of miracles! Time and Divine Intervention | Read the article by Jennifer Guetta in full online. Here are a few excerpts | "....As an archaeologist and historian, I believe only God could have planned this all so perfectly. TIME IS IN HIS HANDS and the perfect timing of events shows God’s glory and reveals a magnificent plan He has for mankind. …"The timing of the events in Israel’s modern history reveal the same kind of supernatural pattern as we see in the Bible and shows Gods divine intervention in our modern world and politics. This timing blows our little human minds away! It reveals a divine creator, who has a plan."
Among many in her "list of the dates and events in the history of The State of Israel" are these:
"70 years and 7 days | From November 29, 1947, when the UN voted for a Jewish State (and an Arab state) to 2017 President Trump recognizes Jerusalem as Jewish Capital on the December 6 2017 it was 70 years and 7 days." and also
"70 years | Trump moved the embassy to Jerusalem on the 70th anniversary of Israel on the exact day (14th May 1948). IT WAS ALSO the 40th day of the Omer counting and Ascension day and likely the year of Jubilee."
There are MANY more significant dates in her list which I agree and for those with eyes to see, Trump really was raised up as a Divine helper to Israel among the nations. "The above dates speak for themselves. There are simply too many patterns for it to be coincidence. These dates reveal divine intervention and show that God is very real and is keeping His promises to Israel." Read in full here.

Reuven Doron and his many family members including grandchildren had to be evacuated due to the fires. The moshav they live in is also home to many other Messianic believers, including the Revive Israel community-ministry. As yet we have no further information on how the fires impacted them, except we know there has been no life lost, which is a great report!  Pray for all that have been displaced by the fires.
Reuven wrote on perseverance in prayer noting that we will have many reasons we could lose hope in the days ahead, but we must persevere in our prayers of faith like little children do.  He writes, “Having five young grandchildren who are growing up very close to us, we share with you the following seven “kingdom traits” that infants and young children display: They are not proud or self aware as we become later in life. | They are humble and naturally receive what is given them.| They do not have the capacity to lie or deceive.| They trust.| They live in the moment.| They forgive easily.| They love and enjoy life.| As we long for the return of our Lord and the coming of His kingdom, we pray that these virtues may be reclaimed and restored in our spirits as the day draws near.
A Broken Heart | “A broken and a contrite heart, these, O God, You will not despise.” (Psalm 51:17) | While we see the decline of the evil powers in all these hostile fronts that sought to suffocate Israel with their epic “Ring of Fire,” Israel remains a wounded nation. Recent internal government studies reveal that nearly half our nation is suffering from PTSD symptoms, while nearly 1/2 million Israelis are diagnosed with an acute PTSD. In fact, a truer term would be to name it TSD (without the P=Post), since the trauma part of the PTSD keeps piling up and is far from over. Our warfare goes on from day to day.

Israel Pochtar of Beit Hallel in Ashdod & Voice of Judah Ministries writes of the “Infamous Day | The miracle of Israel's rebirth in 1948 still echoes through eternity.” (DD: While some Christians claim that the Israel of the Bible is not the modern State of Israel, we know better!) The miracles and promises of God continue to extend to this people Israel. It is as Israel Pochtar writes, “When Israel celebrates her independence, she is not just celebrating survival against all odds. She is celebrating the eternal faithfulness of God, who keeps His promises from generation to generation. Every miracle that led to the rebirth of Israel, from the dry bones of the Holocaust rising into a vibrant nation as in Ezekiel 37, to the astonishing victories in battles fought for survival, is a declaration that God's covenant remains unbroken.
The Key | You… are the next piece of God’s prophetic puzzle for Israel. Your prayers, support, and love for Israel will be the sparks that ignite the flames of revival in the Land…. The clock is ticking. The prophecy in Romans 11:26 hangs in the balance - "and so all of Israel will be saved."The question is: will you be part of the final push? Will you join us in fulfilling the Great Commission, spreading the truth to those who have yet to hear? Your prayers and gifts will fuel our next evangelism effort at Shavuot (Pentecost) and provide hundreds of non-believing Israelis with the life-changing message of Yeshua. Every gift, every prayer, and every act of love brings us closer to the day when Israel will call out to their Messiah and be reborn of the Spirit. (DD: This is no exaggeration. It is literally the truth. Without us, they cannot do it.). . . Will you stand with VOJI and unleash the fullness of God's salvation in Israel? Together, we're not just witnesses to history - we're catalysts for the return of the King. The time is now! The need is great! Will you answer the call?

Chaim Malespin of the ARC (Aliyah Return Center) & The Faithful Galileans writes about how they came about giving Holocaust survivors a special gift that has proven to be greatly restorative to these elderly survivors of the tragic times they lived through 80 years ago:  “In 2015 Dean Bye—co-founder and ARC board member, was traveling across Canada with the Return Ministries team. . . . During that journey, Dean felt a gentle nudge from the Ruach (Spirit)—a quiet impression on his heart to ask people to donate jewelry to bless Israel. It reminded him of that divine moment in the Book of Exodus, when God told the Israelites to ask the Egyptians for gold and valuables before their departure for the Promised Land. . . . what followed stunned everyone: people began giving their most precious treasureswedding rings, necklacesengagement bands, family heirlooms. This moved our team deeply.
“We couldn’t just melt these down for funds. No—these gifts deserved a higher purpose….After praying to know what to do with these treasures, we knew these rings belonged on the hands of Holocaust survivors—men and women who had lost everything: families, homes, businesses, and even their own jewelry, even gold fillings in their teeth, during the horrors of the Shoah. And so began one of the most sacred parts of our calling….Over the years, our Galilean team has placed hundreds of Restoration Rings on the fingers of survivors—each one a prophetic act of honor, healing, and love. Each time, there are tears, embraces, and moments where time seems to stand still. Tragic stories are told, Prophecy is fulfilled. . . . If your heart is stirred, we invite you to sow into this work—to bless Holocaust survivors, new immigrants (olim), and those in need across the land. Together, we will see ashes turn to beauty, and tears wipe away. Donate Jewelery and be part of the restoration. WATCH “Looking forward not back”

From Michael Beener of Sderot at City of Life congregation, Michael asks, “Who Is the Antichrist Hunting? | VIDEO Holocaust Remembrance Day | “. . . . The answer is not merely political or social, it is spiritual. The enemy of God, Satan, hates Israel because he knows that the story of redemption is inseparable from this people. The return of the Messiah is tied to Israel. And that’s why the attacks have been relentless throughout history, through pogroms, wars, terror, and the Holocaust itself. But it’s not only Israel that he targets. The faithful Church, those who hold on to the truth of Scripture, are also in his sights. They, too, are a covenant people. In these last days, both Israel and the true Church are at the center of the Antichrist’s hatred. And we are already seeing the signs. Across the world, Judeo-Christian values are crumbling. Churches are emptying. What was once sacred is now ridiculed or quietly erased…. God remains faithful to His covenant. His story with Israel is not over. It is alive and unfolding before our very eyes. WATCH THE VIDEO  | WATCH ALSO Messianic Ministry Under Constant Persecution | ALSO Happy Independence Day! WATCH Video

From Sally Shiff at the HaMaayan congregation in central Israel, just one of her daily updates since the Oct 7 2023 horror unfolded: Today is our Independence day! Seventy-seven years ago (Jewish calendar) Israel became a nation...again. Three thousand plus years old, and 77 years young. Sadly, the worst fires in our history started yesterday all over the Jerusalem area. Terrorists were caught that had set the fires. But it closed down all our major highways leaving people stranded. As of this writing, the fires are not contained. All ceremonies were cancelled. Personally, I needed to run an errand in the area of where the fires were. I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THE FIRES. I ran out of time and opted out of running that errand. I would have been stuck for hours had I gone. It was ( I believe) God's loving provision over my life. | From a post Sally included from social media: "Multiple fires were started across Israel in what might be the largest arson case in our country's history. Strangely, the only part the fires didn't start: the West Bank. They were only started in Jewish areas. Even more strangely: for the last few hours Arab social media accounts were spreading memes call on Palestinian Arabs to set fire to fields and forests. Coincidence? You will never burn down your home. Unless it was never your home.

One of the communities evacuated from the fires that encircled their village is Revive Israel led by Youval Yanay: 5/2 This year, Memorial Day began with unexpected sorrow close to home — a large fire broke out, forcing our community to evacuate the moshav. Some stayed with family and friends, while others found refuge in the open arms of those who graciously welcomed us into their homes. Even in the midst of flames, we saw His mercy and the kindness of His people.
As we remember the fallen and celebrate Israel’s rebirth, we are also crying out: Lord, send rain — both physical and spiritual. Pour out Your Spirit upon this land. Bring awakening to every heart. Heal, restore, and draw Your people close.”
DD:  Consider donations for those who were displaced…as we await news of damages done to the homes they had to leave.

Kobi & Shani Ferguson of Maoz Israel write about the investment they have made over many years in training Israeli children in musical “instruments and vocals and as they have grown up the fruit of their creativity is now available to you! We call it WORSHIPFUL music - because some songs are designed for corporate worship in a congregational setting, while others are meant for you to listen to in your car and soak in a message that gives glory to God.”  A wealth of music genres are part of Maoz Music’s worship. “But that’s not all—the Maoz Music worship team will be worshiping all over France this May! France has often been hostile toward Israel and the French church knows very little of the Jewish roots of their faith. And so our Israel and Ishmael Fellowship tour is setting off and even launching a French online channel that will provide teachings about Israel to the French-speaking world. We’ll share more about this exciting partnership soon! We covet your prayers for protection and for God’s presence to restore and open eyes to His plan of the ages.  | Listen to Israeli Worship | Support Israeli Worship

Christian Arab Ruby Bishai in the leadership team at Fields of Wheat’s youth camps, Katzir (Harvest)
writes of a touching experience he had this year camp, his 7th year with Katzir. In his first camp as “a nervous 21-year old, wide-eyed counselor” he met a shy but curious teen that he shared “late-night talks, deep questions, and lots of laughter” with.  This year, Ruby writes, “I was standing in the counselor circle, going over cabin assignments—and there he was. That same camper from seven years ago, now a counselor himself. We stood side-by-side, leading cabins, praying for kids, serving the same God who brought us both here. I honestly had to pause for a second and just take it in. From camper to counselor. From first-time volunteer to full-time staff. From seed to fruit to seed again.

This is what it’s all about. Not just events or programs or packed sessions… but legacy. Seeing lives transformed by the love of Yeshua—watching them grow, mature, and then step up to lead the next generation. This picture was taken almost four years ago. We prayed over the 12th graders right before their mandatory military service. Out of the 11 teens in this photo, five returned as counselors after completing their service to the country. It’s hard to put into words what that moment meant to me. But I can tell you this: every year, every camp, every “yes” along the way—it’s been worth it.

Stefan Silver writes for his parent’s ministry Out of ZionIn the two weeks following Passover, Israel commemorates three other significant events that serve as eternal reminders of the birth pangs leading up to the return of Messiah, two are days of remembrance and one is of resurrection. . . . While the nations rage and oppose Israel’s very right to exist, we know this is the Lord’s doing, this is the heart of our God — to build, heal and restore His people even through suffering, and raising them up in His everlasting faithfulness.” Is it any wonder then that God urges US – you and me –to “Comfort, comfort my people,” says your God. “Speak tenderly to Jerusalem...” …. The Lord builds up Jerusalem which he has resurrected it in fulfilment of his covenant promises and in preparation for the everlasting kingdom he will establish. Until that day, may we as believers in the risen Messiah, be found faithful in comforting God’s people — in word, in spirit, in prayer, and in deed through unwavering love. “ |  The Carmel Alert News Items Follow the Article - Please subscribe email to receive all.

FINAL NEWS & THOUGHTS TO SHARE

Some of you undoubtedly are following reports of sexual accusations made against Dr. Michael Brown. Now a third party Elders tribunal as weighed in with their judgment. The Elders are Jonathan Bernis, Mark Piefer, Leif Heitland, and Raleigh Washington.  Click above to read

I believe the stand that the Third Party Elders tribunal in Dr Michael Brown’s investigation made are correct in rejecting Firefly's expanded definitions of what is rape, sexual abuse and grooming. Those are "trauma-informed" definitions that go so far as to be laughable IF it could not ruin the lives of so many people. These things should have been rejected in the Firefly report on Mike Bickle and IHOP which expanded to any accusations against anyone at IHOP in order to try to convict the whole organization as a ‘predator culture’ in order to shut it all down. This too should have been rejected.

Personally I reject the accusation-assault of the “trauma-informed” mob of that anyone who questions the accusers are just being callous and insensitive to the victims of sexual abuse. I'm not. I've had several sexual abuse incidents happen to me in my life. Where I draw the line is in just accepting accusations as unassailable fact. There should never be a sin or a crime that gets a pass on rigorous investigation of evidence and fact finding proof.

I believe in the power of God & the blood of Jesus to heal and restore the truly repentant to the uttermost. Including victims of ALL sins. There is no special category of sin that cannot be fully healed GOD’s way – through the blood of Yeshua, forgiving and leaving it at the altar of God for punishment of the unrepentant. I do not believe even clergy who have succumbed to sexual temptations can NEVER be trusted again to ministry leadership. In many ways, to me this is like Christians claiming that Israel can never be restored to God because their failures were too egregious.  That is a lie that is the same type of thinking in my view, that ministers cannot be restored to their ministries given time.
     When Paul says that
“the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable,” I believe that is God leaving the door open to the truly repentant, those who have, in God’s own estimation, truly repented and turned to walk in all sincerity and fear of the LORD. It is not man’s judgments that count in who ministers, it is God’s call. He leaves the gifts and calling in place, and will open the doors to minister to those He alone deems fit.  If you do not believe this, you just may be trying to override God’s right to the final word.
The feminist ideologies of the MeToo movement mixed with some cherry picked scriptures will never bring healing to those truly traumatized by sins against them.
Let the world judge by worldly standards, but let the people of God  judge by God’s Word. We MUST deal with sin in the camp, but we must not set some outside of God’s power to restore fully.

All of the “CSA” chaos within the body of Christ should instead have been done with the heart of restoration for all not for accusers only. It is because of the mixture of trying to deal with biblical sin by humanistic, anti-God ideologies.  - Donna Diorio
