What Do Believers have to do with the Third Temple? NOTHING.

Recently a Facebook friend posted this video by the Behold Israel ministry of Amir Tsarfati writing "I don't always agree with Amir Tsarfati, but when I do it's because he is absolutely right."

I was intrigued to read what my friend had written about Tsarfati because I also don’t always agree with Tsarfati - The reason being I am not a believer in the pre-Tribulation Rapture of the Church. But Tsarfati does great job reporting on what is going on news-wise in Israel and has a lot of followers among Christians. Even in this video, I can only agree with what he is saying about how Christians should have nothing to do with funding the building of the Temple Mount. That holds true no matter what your conviction is on the timing of the building of a Third Temple. Yet as Tsarfati points out, the last three months Christians were all abuzz about a soon sacrifice of a red heifer which Amir calls out as 100% fake news and which was used by Hamas to justify the Oct 7 attack.

As Amir Tsarfati of Behold Israel said in this video, "Look how very poor biblical understanding of Scripture leads to sensationalism, leads to fake news that leads our enemies using it as an excuse to butcher and massacre us. Tsarfati believes a third temple will be build and in the years ahead a red heifer will be burnt, but it will only lead to a disaster as the Antichrist stands in it proclaiming himself to be God. That fact does not stop the obsession of Christians with following the developments of the religious groups like the Temple Institute and the Temple Mount Faithful. Many have told me they are just excited because it is a sign of the soon return of Jesus. I believe Yeshua grieves that explanation because it shows a disregard for what the rebuilding of the temple is going to unleash in bloodshed – not of bulls and goats, but of human beings!

     As Tsarfati put it, “Everything Christians do today in order to support and hype the idea of the third temple is not serving anything but the enemy as an excuse to attack us, but also, it serves confusion for the Jewish people.  For the Jewish people the third temple may appear to be a good thing but it will turn out to be the biggest disaster.”

     Right now the Remnant of Faith in Israel are bearing the witness of Yeshua to the people of God. What in the world drives Christians to obsess over the building of the Antichrist temple when Yeshua among the body of Messiah in Israel is building a living temple made of Israeli Jews, Christian Arabs, and other people groups from the nations who live/work in Israel. So much money is poured into the rebuilding of the third temple by Christians, if it were redirected to the believer ministries, we would see God’s Living Temple built even faster. Imagine that: Jews entering into the Kingdom of Yeshua that will last through eternity, instead of dying lost as the Antichrist emerges in a third temple made of stone. Should Jews put their faith in the blood of bulls and goats sacrificed in a Third Temple to make atonement for their sins, or should they learn what the apostle Paul pointed out in Hebrews10:4: “it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.”
 
    Yet in Christian media from Charisma Magazine to Glenn Beck, from the 2024 National Gathering for Prayer & Repentance in Washington D.C. to all the the social media platforms Christians frequent, great excitement surrounded the “fake news” Amir Tsarfati was pointing out. Not only is the “massive sacrificial altar” not a new thing, but it was built in 2014 long before a Texas rancher finally located red cattle who passed the Israeli rabbis inspection as flawless. I know that rancher personally. Not well, but personally and it gives me great grief that he became drawn into years long searching to fulfill the red heifers for the Temple Institute in Jerusalem. I am sorry for the few Jewish believers I know of in Israel who see the rebuilding of a Third Temple as a good thing because Scripture is clear it is not.

     Yes, there will be a Third Temple built and sacrifices of bulls and goats will again be sacrificed, but it is all for nothing in terms of Israeli Jews coming to faith in Yeshua.

     Hebrews 9:11 But when Messiah came as high priest of the good things that have come, He went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made by hands and is not a part of this creation. 12 He did not enter by the blood of goats and calves, but He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His own blood, thus securing eternal redemption.

     13 For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that their bodies are clean, 14 how much more will the blood of Messiah, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God, purify our consciences from works of death, so that we may serve the living God!

     15 Therefore Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, now that He has died to redeem them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.

     This Living Temple should the what excites the international Church, not the Antichrist Temple.  As 1 Peter 2:4-6 proclaims: “As you come to Him, the living stone, rejected by men but chosen and precious in God’s sight, 5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 For it stands in Scripture: “See, I lay in Zion a stone, a chosen and precious cornerstone; and the one who believes in Him will never be put to shame.”

    The Third Temple is prophesied but not everything that is prophesied is God's will for His people. Let’s quit making excuses for focusing on the things of the Antichrist instead of the things of Christ, Israel’s Salvation and ours. I have no qualms saying those who are pushing excitement out into Christianity about the Red Heifer sacrifice are leading Christians AWAY from God’s focus for us.  Even worse is does great harm to the Gospel of the Kingdom of Messiah that Israeli Messianic Jews are proclaiming to fellow Israelis.
