Increasing Revelation of Who God Is & What His Plan Is

I love putting photos with my articles, however blogger has made some change that blocks me from making the articles more attractive with pictures. I pray you will press in to the content anyway. DDiorio

I won't use the word progressive, but there is a principle in the Kingdom of God that understanding increases over time. It is true in God's revealing of Himself through the Word. In Genesis, God reveals Himself and His plan in seed form. Throughout the ages even common people understood the seasons of growing food for a harvest. The spiritual harvest seed is what God revealed in Genesis and the reaping of that harvest is revealed in the visions of John on Patmos: the book of Revelation.

In between, little by little God advances the understanding of who He is and what He is planning among humankind. He plants the seed of a set aside "chosen people" which He develops through the line of Abram, who name He changes to Abraham, the father of many nations. This is because Abram had to follow God by faith into a place he did not know, so Abram demonstrated the kind of faith that would ultimately make him the father of ALL who come to God in faith.

Still God developed a faithful family line from the seed of Abram. It was a specific line of choosing that through the years brought Isaac and Jacob into the line of God's chosen people who would bring forth the Messiah of Israel, whose very name Yeshua meant Salvation. Jacob is representative of how God takes flawed humans and if they will wrestle with God through the long, dark, troubling night, God will give them a name change that reflects His ultimate plans for favor for them with Himself and man.

I will not go through the whole Bible here, but it is a reality that throughout the Bible, God continued to advance the revealing of Himself and His plan for the spiritual harvest for Himself within mankind - people like Jacob who would wrestle with God for His blessing and obtained it.

God revealed Himself in the Torah, the first five books of the Bible that contain the laws and instructions to His chosen people of how they were to live their life before Him. No one was able to live a life that measured up fully to what God revealed about His sense of justice and righteousness. Many tried, many thought they had achieved, only because we are so blind to our own failings, especially when we are hyper aware of the failings of other believers.

Advancing, advancing, God reveals Himself and His plans for the salvation of mankind all the way to the revelation of His only begotten Son, Yeshua, who was the Word of God in the flesh - meaning the only human being to ever live fully in the spirit of God's laws, obedient unto death to faithfully follow every word that proceeded from the mouth of God.

Many Christians think everything begins and ends with Jesus, the truth is that His life was to show us what we could be living by the Spirit. Throughout the Christian age we have failed to do that, just exactly like the Jewish people failed to live up to God's high bar for humanity. God is showing both the Jews and the Christians that they are both subject to stumbling and failure if we don't go completely His way. Neither of us can be mostly good and get by with that.

In the end, we discover that God's plan has always been what was stated in Ephesians 2:15, that God is going to take those Jews and Gentiles from all the nations who come by faith in His only begotten Son and make of two "one new man." The symbolism of marriage, where husband and wife become one in unity under the authority of Yeshua/Jesus, who Himself is under the authority of God.

I have said all that to say this. The return of God to the Jews is WHOLLY wrapped up in revealing His only begotten Son to the people God made to be known throughout history as "the Chosen People of God." There is no room for Christian jealousy at this point as God is advancing the revelation of Yeshua as the salvation of "all Israel." In fact, Christian jealousy becomes a disqualifying factor: if you do not accept this ultimate plan of God for the spiritual harvest of salvation among mankind, you will find yourself losing more and more of what you thought was your perfect faith as a Christian. It all comes down to the obedience that will follow Jesus where ever He goes, and He is going to Jews and Israel increasingly in our days.

This is not some misinterpreted dispensationalism; this is God's Word and His plan. He promised throughout the Bible that He would return and restore Israel to spiritual relationship, and there is only one way to do that: by faith in Israel's Messiah Yeshua. That's why the number of Israeli Messianic Jews has gone from 24 saved souls in 1948 at the restoration of the State of Israel, to estimates in 2024 of 15-20,000.

Christians who think there is some other way that Jews will come to faith and be restored to God, do not leave room in their priorities of life for God's own desire to make of Jew and Gentile one new man in Yeshua/Jesus. This cannot happen if Christians are not even on the planet anymore when Jews come to faith. We cannot be one in Heaven if we have not become one in the earth - like Yeshua, obedient to do everything that proceeds from the mouth of God.

That means turning your eyes away from making Jews jealous of how great your goodness in the LORD is. Not that you should be any less good, but recognizing that even in Israel, it is the believing Jews who have the greatest credibility to unbelieving Israelis. No one else has the same life experience they share. Place your good will toward Israel in the hands of those who are the living love letters from God to their own people, bringing Yeshua as the completely Jewish Messiah of Israel, HaTikvah, the Hope of Israel. Be smart enough to know our place is a supporting role to the Israeli Messianics in the salvation of Israel - as a wife's role to her husband's area of responsibility before God. A help-mate, not a replacement.

Originally written on Facebook and when I came to post it here, was unable to upload the One New Man book cover.

This reflects my own thinking, based on much learning from my own studies and being exposed to some of best Israeli Messianic ministries for the past 30 years.
The reason I have used the photo of Reuven Doron's "One New Man" book to illustrate what I'm writing about is because his writing so profoundly impacted me back in the 1990's when I had no idea of Jewish believers in Jesus living in Israel. Once he got my gaze turned in that direction, God began to speak much to me through His Word about His plans for the Jews. I had re-entered the faith in 1983 and immediately began searching for the Jews in church. I could not find them there and I didn't understand why, because the Bible is almost entirely the Jews. How could it be Jews were not in the faith. God's Word and books like "One New Man" pointed me in the direction of God's plan for that.

To learn more about One New Man, I recommend Reuven Doron's 1993 book which advanced my understanding towards what God has been planning all along. Amazon
