Urgent: Pray for Israel

We are writing you this time with an urgent prayer request on behalf of Israel.
     Since seven Iranian terror leaders of the (IRGC) Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps were killed by Israel at the Iranian consulate in Syria on Monday the 1st of April - one of them being general Mohammad Reza Zahedi, the architect behind the October 7 massacre - Iran has been threatening with a revenge attack on Israel.
     We do not know in which way the Iranian leaders are planning their attack, and whether it will be coming directly from Iranian soil or through one of their proxies in Israel's neighboring countries. However, we are aware that something can happen any time within the next few days, especially now when the month of Ramadan will be coming to an end on Tuesday. Therefore, all Israel is on high alert right now. All reservists in the Israeli Air Force have been called into duty with all their planned vacation been cancelled.
     Please, join us in prayer, as we are standing on God's promises, and proclaiming all of Psalm 121 over Israel. "I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help? 2 My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth...."
     We know that the almighty God has everything in His hands, and that He will not allow anything to happen that is not according to His will. We want to pray for this imminent Iranian attack to be thwarted and not develop into a full-scale war in the Middle East. We want to pray for God's intervention, that He may reveal Himself to the leaders of Iran that they may be struck by fear when planning an attack against Israel, because He will not let anybody get away with touching "the apple of His eye" (Zechariah 2:7-9).
     Now is the time for the people of Israel to call upon the name of the Lord that He may come and fight for His people. Now is the time for the people of Israel to meet their Messiah and get saved! Now is the time for the world to see there is a God in Israel! Please, stand with us in prayer during these critical days in the history of Israel that the will of God may be done in everything!

There is a lot of soul searching in the body in Israel, because they are not only ministers bringing the message of salvation in Yeshua to lost Israel, but like the entire rest of the nation, they have been stunned and emotionally wounded by the events of October 7^th and the aftermath of war responding to the brutal attack of Hamas. They have truly become “suffering servants” to their nation and all serious believers in the rest of the nations should take note of the serious challenge that could be coming our way any day. Don’t make the mistake of thinking that their faith is just not as strong as yours. We must all dig deeper in the days ahead.

That is why for Eitan Shishkoff’s moving comments in the 4/5 Fields of Wheat ministry letter, I have uploaded it to my Fruit of the Fig Tree blog so Arrows subscribers could read it. It begins with his discovery of a memorial site dedicated to an Israeli fighter pilot in the 1967 Six Day War. His reflections on the continual sacrifices that have had to be made by Israelis since the modern state of Israel was birthed by God are simply moving. Please read it here to get a glimpse of the shaken people who God is going to show great favor to in the end.

Arni Klein of Emmaus Way also waxed eloquently on what all believers, not just Israel, will be facing soon: “Surely surely the day at hand is not like any we have seen before. Though no one knows exactly what is coming, the expectation of a dramatic shift is without question. We have never been more dependent on the Lord for insight and direction. . . . At some point we anticipate that connecting the dots and making sense of it all will be beyond our ability. In that day hearing His voice from a place of union with Him will be paramount…. Historically, in the first Purim, the call for our destruction was turned around and no sorrow was added to it. There was no indication of God’s displeasure with the Jews. It was purely hatred without a cause.… There is no question that when darkness comes in like a flood, the Lord’s standard will be lifted up and recognized by those who love the truth but have yet been blind to it.
     ….Israel has already dialed in the coordinates of Iran’s eight nuclear sites. We have not met one Israeli that has any doubt about what lies ahead. We wonder that Israel’s recent military action was an attempt to initiate the next round according to our optimal timetable. It is rather amazing that this escalation towards regional war comes as we are approaching the advent of the second total solar eclipse to cross the US in seven years…. Since the phenomenon of the two eclipses became known seven years ago, without speculating what might be coming, our thoughts have not changed. Something is set to happen that will alter the nature of life on a global level.

 Claude & Michelle Ezagouri lead the Tiberias Morning Star Fellowship, and I was surprised to learn last week from Leon Mazin’s report on hearing their testimony that the Ezagouris’ had been Orthodox Jews when they came to know Yeshua! This must have been many years back because they have been leaders of the Tiberias congregation for as long as I have been doing Israel Prayer/Arrows from Zion. They are giving praise for one of their youth getting baptize and for a lady who recently came to faith in Yehua. They report “We have made some progress in our attempt to form a new youth group. We have young people who have never been in a youth group and need fellowship. Please pray that the Lord will prepare their heart and that we may hold the first festive gathering. Pray also that we will be able to devote a suitable budget to this project.  | We are in preparation of the coming Passover seder that will take place in the fellowship building. There is a lot of logistic planning, and we also want a meaningful seder. We need prayer not only for material preparation but also for the spiritual content to be according to the Lord’s perfect will.| Please pray for the people who were evacuated from the north. They find it very difficult to live with their family in a small hotel room in Tiberias or other cities. They lost their jobs and have become a burden on the nation….| We continue distributing second-hand clothes and other household items and we have good contacts with the population. Please pray that the project will bring fruit of salvation.
     They also recognize “Israel is being isolated internationally….Despite the apparently hopeless situation we remember the verse: "But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,' declares the LORD, 'because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares." Avner Boskey has an astute prophetic insight he is sharing in his latest well documented writing, Enemy at the Gates. He talks about how the Jewish people were born for warfare and backs it up the Genesis 22:17-18 passage to prove it. But what really impacted me was Avner’s insights into the background of how the US, along with former Israeli military and political figures have been purposely ratcheting up the demonstrations demanding Israel put obtaining the hostages “at any price.” The hidden agenda is the shared American and Israeli Left agenda to oust Netanyahu “at any price” and it was an operation started before the war even began – with war, it merely shifted the talking points to rescuing hostages. Avner notes, “Many Israelis are horrified at the violent and anarchistic tactics of these anti-government spokesmen. They are appalled that the Kaplan protest leaders are claiming that its strategies represent the majority of Israelis and especially the families of the hostages. A significant amount of Israelis and hostage families are not blaming not the government for jihadi atrocities – they blame Hamas and its supporters.” Read it all online at the David’s Tent site, click title above. 

Reuven Doron’s full report can be read on his Facebook profile which begins “As war drums continue to beat louder each day in the Middle East, it is essential for God’s sons and daughters to find strength and rest in God’s Word. King David was a militant King whose entire career was steeped in battles and bloodshed, yet he saw the bigger picture beyond the struggles that surrounded him. Composing inspired music and worshipping God throughout his entire life, David’s psalms actually formed the national “praise manual” that the people of Israel still use today 3,000 years later….      Reuven also covers a range of the issues confronting Israel right now including: “Of the many airstrikes which are launched daily against terror targets in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria, the one from last Monday has gotten everyone’s attention. From what we know, eight of the16 casualties were Iranian officers who were meeting with their Hezbollah partners, including General Mohammed Reza Zahedi who commanded the elite Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Zahedi was the senior Iranian official overseeing the supply of weapons, including precise missiles, to Hezbollah in Lebanon.   This surgical air strike which brought down the Iranian Ambassador’ residence with the high ranking officials in it shocked decision makers all throughout the Middle East and beyond. Not only was it a daring and bold hit; it also highlighted Israel’s intelligence gathering capabilities which not only identified high-value targets, but was also able to discover their exact location and schedule; all while keeping the Iranian Ambassador himself untouched.
     . . . . God’s Will Be Done  | . . . . For those watching the American administration’s recent scandalous interactions with Israel, it is good to remember that the USA is in an important election year, the results of which will directly impact her destiny.

Howard Bass of Yeshua’s Inheritance also naming the priority issue as Israelis find themselves “divided over the moral dilemma of getting the captives released NOW at any price, or to wage the war until victory over Hamas.  The whole country is again roiling as it was before Oct 7, mostly to oust the current government, and it has become more violent.… This war is nearing to being expanded into a full engagement also on and across the northern border with Lebanon, as Hezbollah -- another of Iran's proxies -- has been firing rockets and missiles into Israel from near the beginning of the war in Gaza. Around 80,000- 100,000 Israelis have been evacuated from that border, and their homes and farms, etc, abandoned.  No sovereign nation can allow this to remain unchallenged. ...I wrote in my first update, and in a video that I did to give a Biblical perspective to this war, that while everyone in the world wants Israel not to win, and for the war not to expand, it may be that GOD does want Israel to defeat the enemy and for the war to expand. 
    …. Psalm 83 speaks about a regional war with the outcome of it that the enemies of Israel and of her true God would all know that YHVH is God Most High, and not the god of any other religion or people.  Their stated aim, as the Holy Spirit reveals through Asaph, the priest and worship leader who wrote the psalm, is to wipe out Israel from being a nation anymore, and to take the land for themselves. The peoples mentioned in the psalm are today the Muslim nations surrounding the State and Land of Israel. Their hatred and vitriol is against the Sovereign Creator of the universe, who has chosen a particular people and a particular land and city within that land to be the battle epicenter for manifesting His glory to ALL, both human and angel and satanic/demonic! As we heard from a Hamas leader at the beginning of the war, they intend to do an Oct 7 again and again and again until they achieve their objective.
     …. This past week, Jewish, Arab, and other leaders from around Israel gathered together to SAYF at Sde Boker, south of B-S.  SAYF is an acronym for Sitting At Yeshua's Feet, and it is supposed to be a "safe" place for the brothers who come from different streams, ethnicities, cultures. It was a very significant time, given the situation in the country….we know how important accepting one another in Messiah/Christ is, and for unity and love -- all as a testimony to the truth of who Jesus/Yeshua/Yasua is.

David Silver of Out of Zion writes: “Israel Needs Some Passover Miracles | The 7 day celebration of Passover begins on the evening of Monday the Hebrew date of Nisan 14 or April 22. Passover is the first of the 7 GOD ordained Moedim or Appointed Times in the annual cycle that are laid out in Leviticus chapter 23. The events of the Passover story led to the Israelites escaping from 430 years of slavery in Egypt and their 40 year journey in the desert before they finally entered the Promised Land and the nation of Israel was born. Back then and throughout history, the enemies of GOD and His nation have always wanted to destroy us and GOD has miraculously saved and preserved His people.” The 2 Passover Miracles David sees Israel needs is the wrapping of up “the last Hamas stronghold in Rafah” because “Without that operation, which the nations are trying hard to prevent, Hamas cannot be defeated and the threat of terror will remain in place.” The other needed miracle is for the hostages to be rescued. Golan Heights Memorial Site

Exploring a back road in the Golan Heights I stumbled into a hidden corner laden with meaning. It turned out to be a memorial site outside of Moshav Kidmat Tzvi, dedicated to the memory of Captain Otniel Shamir, a fighter pilot who was shot down by the Syrians on August 6, 1967, on the fourth day of the Six Day War. Set in a grove of noble cypress trees, the unusual is a tangled mass of broken machinery—parts of Otniel’s crashed fighter jet. Next to that is a mound, a kind of ancient marker, with the hero’s name on a bronze plaque. Emerging from this mound is a portion of the bomber wing, marked by the star of David, our national insignia.

     Moved by the enduring honor marking this sacrificed life, I was then gripped by the fact that in war after war including the current multi-front conflict, thousands of other “Otniel’s” have given away their future, their plans, their dreams, their young wives and children, to preserve this resurrected nation.

     The history of modern Israel is stained with the blood of wars designed to obliterate us. Wikipedia lists fourteen wars from the War for Independence, 1948-49 until today’s forced responses to Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, and Iran. To these we must add, with tears, the non-stop knifings, car rammings, and drive by shootings that are literally a weekly occurrence.  This morning’s news feed: Terrorist Enters Mall, Stabs 3 . . . . This was the second day in a row that included a terror incident in Israel’s civilian sector. How can we possibly understand the extent of hatred that propels such suicidal violence against the people of Israel, who are simply trying to live our lives? We are currently fighting on active fronts, in addition to the war against Hamas in Gaza. Rockets are falling on our northern cities from Hezbollah. The so-called “West Bank” Palestinian Territories of Judea and Samaria are a hotbed of terror as well. And, even the far-away Houtis from Yemen are getting into the act!

     Why the Jews? What do the forces of evil have against us? The prophets of Israel detailed the rise and fall of our fortunes. Weakened by our sin, empires came against us. Moved by His compassion and covenant commitment, God rescued us time and again. Even millennia of exile did not dull His passionate determination to see the Jewish people finally return to the land He granted us in the time of Abraham:  Therefore all who devour you shall be devoured, and all your foes, every one of them, shall go into captivity; those who plunder you shall be plundered, and all who prey on you I will make a prey. For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the LORD, because they have called you an outcast: It is Zion, for whom no one cares!’ “Thus says the LORD: Behold, I will restore the fortunes of the tents of Jacob and have compassion on his dwellings…The fierce anger of the LORD will not turn back until he has executed and accomplished the intentions of his mind. In the latter days you will understand this.  Jeremiah 30:16-18,24

     What catches my attention here is that Jeremiah says these things will come clear “in the latter days.” We should not be surprised by the demonic hatred being vented on the children of Jacob. It is hell’s outrage that God has brought us back to dwell in this land, which He has restored to its former fruitfulness, after nearly 2000 years of exile. The enemy hated Yeshua’s resurrection—thinking he had crushed God’s plan for human redemption. And he hates the resurrection of the Jewish people—thinking he had gotten us out of the way by destroying 6 million in the Holocaust.

     The conflict is much deeper than Israel versus Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, etc. The conflict is between two titanic spiritual forces. The evil force is “the god of this world,” the lover of death, who has inflamed the Jihadist Muslims, convincing them that killing every last one of us brings pleasure to Allah. The spiritual force for true peace, justice, love, and life is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the Father of our Messiah Yeshua:  “Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations” That is why we find ourselves in the cross hairs of Satan’s minions. We — all of us who love and serve the God of Israel—are now in what I believe is the beginning of end time wars over the future of planet earth. No, I’m not exaggerating. This is what we read throughout the Bible.

     You will come from your place out of the uttermost parts of the north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great host, a mighty army. You will come up against my people Israel, like a cloud covering the land. In the latter days I will bring you against my land, that the nations may know me, when through you, O Gog, I vindicate my holiness before their eyes. Ezekiel 38:15,16

     Behold, a day is coming for the LORD, when the spoil taken from you will be divided in your midst. For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken and the houses plundered and the women raped. Half of the city shall go out into exile, but the Remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle. Zechariah 14:1-3

     These are only two passages, apparently referring to separate stages of end-time conflict. What’s startling is that in both God says that HE is provoking Israel’s enemies to attack us, thinking they can destroy us. Yet it is part of His plan, that the Lord may ultimately triumph over all of them.

     Wow. Looks like we’re in for continued intensity. This calls for our utmost dedication, focused faith, and unity as disciples. We will be required to give sacrificially, to pray without ceasing, and to extend compassion to those who will surely suffer. It’s enough to drive us to our knees—and that is exactly where I believe our Shepherd King wants us.

In the year before the 2020 election, some of the ministry people I follow began to call out Trump for the things they believed he lacked in Christian character. It really became  a thing that there was nothing they ever expressed anything positive about him. If they ever posted anything good to say about him, I must have missed it!

I pushed back because it was easy for me to see how they were persuading many Christians away from voting for Trump in the election - and they were just adding to the flood of accusations and lies against Trump from the Leftist voting Democrat. 

Pushing back on how my friends were influencing the Christian vote is something I felt I must do because I could also see the commitment of Democrats is to make sure conservatives never have control of this country ever again Christian influences included because Christians generally are more conservative in their government policies. I have no allegiance to any party, but Republicans have always come closer than Democrats on the issues important to me and I also believe important to God.

I also saw the character flaws of Trump. My expectation never was based on him be flawless, but my belief in him being the best leader was on him having the guts to do what was right for the country. I was voting for a President, not the pope. Besides, if you have any spiritual discernment at all you can see the evil agenda of most of the leaders on Left. If you missed seeing the corruption and evil of Biden and his puppets over the past few years, well, shame on you. 

This is all history now. Because the election was stolen from Trump, the blanket was pulled off that covered me and many Americans about just how corrupted our government leaders and bureaucraces actually are. The election theft has laid bare how deep the rot is in every level and branch of government.

I believe in the upcoming election - barring another election theft -  that Trump will return to the White House to gather the tatters of this country and begin to put things back in order. It will be a monumental job and between now and his swearing in, I see great potential for great calamities for the American people from within and without. It is hard to believe anyone would want the job Trump is seeking, but I thank him for seeking to the highest office in this land once again for the sake of America.

Now I said all this to say I see a VERY similar situation occurring in the swirling hate campaign to destroy Mike Bickle and close down IHOP. It has gathered together many supporters of that campaign, many who also stood in negative critique of Trump. They believe they are taking the high road and upholding necessary character issues that must be publicly addressed against Mike. They believed the same about Trump, but they did not seem to see how they were adding to the flood of the Accuser against God's people at the same time. 

We should not lend our voice to those who are calling for complete destruction of any Christian minister or the closing of any ministry that has ONLY BEEN JUDGED in the courts of public opinion. People lie all the time. False accusers can convince the crowd. Israel knows all about how 100% false accusations and narratives have made the whole world hate them based on lies.

The Bible passage about Jezebel's machinations to steal Naboth's vineyard is a strong word showing how the Jezebel spirit works under the radar to orchestrate evil by getting others to lie about the innocent. I am not proclaiming anyone innocent because there has not been due process in this matter. I refuse to align with people who are willing to accept guilt based on accusations alone.

If we are in alliance with people who are stirring up a hornets nest of hatred far beyond whatever character flaw we see in some Christian, then we need to break and run from them. Establish God's high ground - not their phony high ground that seeks to destroy Mike Bickle and the IHOP ministry just for good measure. God's way seeks restoration not total decimation of the man and the ministry. God's way rarely attracts people who are seeking truth. The campaign against Bickle has attracted great number of people some who hate all prophetic, some hate all charismatics, some all Christians and God Himself! Those are all happy to join the curse-fest of Mike Bickle and IHOP.  

The enemy of your enemy is not your friend. 

For me: I stand to due process for Mike Bickle, the continuation of the great #IHOPKC ministry, the GOD-correction all that need to be corrected in the American prophetic (not random self-appointed accusers), the continuing coming together of OneNewMan in Messiah, God's mercy on America even in the midst of afflictions and corrections being poured out on all of the sins of this nation. If it is at all possible in God's mercy, that Trump be protected in the months ahead - set in safety from lawfare and assassination attempts - and sworn in as President of the United States with years left in him to regather the resources of this country and the people of God to be kept in safety from the many afflictions coming to this nation, already being rolled out. In Jesus' name.

It is my pray, O God. A woman well aware of her shortcomings, past failings in being transformed enough in Yeshua's likeness to always do the God thing instead of the fleshly thing. My righteousness is of Him, and so is my vindication: so no weapon formed against me shall prosper and every tongue that condemns me I judge as failing in its mission. This is my inheritance in Yeshua, so says the LORD.

Believer women deserve an equality far higher than looking to the anti-God Feminist movement to deliver. Yeshua/Jesus raised the bar of spiritual equality for women who would come under His command. 

Because men historically have acted exactly like God said they would in Genesis 3:16 "Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.” 

God said women would t?šûqâ (stretch out in desire, longing, craving) for her husband, but that husbands would mašal (rule, to exercise dominion) over their wives. 

This was true under the Covenant God made with Israel, and it has continued in the Greek understandings of the Covenant in Christ. That was NOT what Yeshua-Jesus died to restore to the status of women. . . but notice after the first century many of the things that Yeshua bought and paid for in His sacrificial blood, Christians lost the further away from the first century they got. I am talking about things you would think they would want to hold onto - like the gifts of the Spirit, healing, prophecy, apostolic, in fact the whole 5-fold governing of the body of believers in the world was lost. 

A new system replaced it based on Greek modes of thinking which do not have a clue of God-thinking. To have that, they would have stuck with close community with the Hebrew believers in Israel and beyond. But they didn't. They interpreted scripture without understanding things only Hebrew believers could elucidate to them. And I don't mean just any Messianic Jew because even in the first century Paul was having to correct Gentile congregations who were picking up "old think" from what Paul called "Judizers." 

Christians think often that every Messianic Jew is a "Judizer" trying to drag them away from Christian liberty in Jesus. That is not true. Some of them are because they too are stuck below the bar that Yeshua raised for all of us. But not all Messianic Jews are stuck there EVEN IF they live according to the Jewish identity and the commands that God gave the children of Israel to live by. It is a critical element of their authenticity and witness that Jesus is not some Gentile god, but the Messiah all of their scriptures and Feast Days point to. 

What God uttered in Genesis 3:16 has been true for women throughout history. In the late 1800's godly women began to cry out for the equality that Jesus extended to us in His death and resurrection. Their cry was soon joined by women in utter rebellion to God and soon the spirit of the Feminist movement was taken over by them entirely. 

Fast forward to the 1960's and we see the rise of the Feminist movement again. My mother's and my teen generation was bombarded with their demand for equality. "You can have it all" they promised us. Only we couldn't and then they said only women with careers were women worth paying attention to. Stay-at-home moms were "anathema" to the Feminist movement. They were going to take what was rightfully theirs, and only men who licked their boots made for walking were worth anything too. This is how the Beta man developed. Men who were so sensitized to Feminist rights they forgot entirely how to be men. Women really want men to be men. Not to lord it over them, but to be a woman's safe place for herself and her family.

In the Church throughout history even though the New Testament scriptures laid out how to interact as husband and wife in the full grace of God, men still thought they had the right to lord it over women - being abusive in many ways to their wives. We no longer had to sit separately in the balcony at church, but the spiritual equality for women in Christianity has never been achieved. Like the restoration of all the things Christians lost and God is restoring (healing, gifts of the Spirit, 5-fold offices in the body), we have gone from one extreme to the opposite extreme. We have gone from the Genesis 3:16 domination by men to the Jezebellic and/or Feminist models of control by women in personal relationships and also with exaggerated influence in legal matters (MeToo trying to enforce a "Believe the Women" in all sexual accusations rather than due process.)

From my perspective after looking since the late 1980's into  this question of restoration for women of spiritual equality according to and faithful to the Word of God, we are not there yet. There are a lot of women in ministry now, but it is mostly due to humanistic Feminism that this is true. We have yet to enter into the full-blown Jesus-restoration of women. 

That's my view. Many of my Messianic friends believe that as we lost so many of the spiritual gifts and standings as the Church began to part from any connection to the Messianic Jewish part of the body and their GOOD & NECESSARY influence on the WHOLE body of the Lord in the earth, that the connection between Messianic Jews and Gentile Christians would be the last thing to be restored to the kingdom of priests that God is raising up in the last days on the earth. 

I don't believe that. I think the One New Man is the next to the last thing that will be restored, and since the break in a truly godly relationship between men and women occurred in Genesis 3, that the full restoration of women's standing is going to be the last thing that is restored. 

If you understand that the 2 most prominent principalities of the last days is the Beast and Jezebel, then you see the enemy of our souls is throwing quite a bit of demon power into influencing people into sinful mindsets and activities in our day. Don't think of that outside of what we can clearly see of how that spirit is working among women mostly, but men too, and obviously is dominating other men through the Jezebel sexuality weapon, not just the under the radar manipulation for power. 

Women who desire God are going to have to face the facts about how they personally allow the Jezebel spirit to operate in them and repent, in order to enter into the highest levels that God is calling His female children into through Yeshua-Jesus. It's a word Christian women don't want to hear, but if we have arrived at the place we desired by Jezebel methods of operation, then Revelation 2:20-21 is addressing you:

"You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. By her teaching she misleads My servants to be sexually immoral and to eat food sacrificed to idols. Even though I have given her time to repent of her immorality, she is unwilling."

It is a matter of faith to trust God for the equality that you are due as a woman. If you live in a situation that lacks that, you might not be able to put your trust in God that stand as a spiritual equal before His Throne, thanks to the blood of Yeshua-Jesus. If you have trust you commit your justice to Him. 

In the days of King David there was a woman married to a man whose very name meant "folly." Nabal was a rich man who fell asleep drunk every night, didn't honor God's appointed king, didn't heed his wife's counsel in the least and the Bible calls him "harsh and evil in his doings." When David who had been protecting Nabal's shepherds in the fields where they were encamped, requested prosperous Nabal to supply his men in the fields with whatever he could afford so they could enjoy the Feast day of Purim, Nabal foolishly sent word back to David, 'No, he wasn't go to share. Nabal's shepherds told Abigail what he had done, how David told 400 of his fighting men to mount up with their swords, Abigail went into action immediately. First she prepared portions for David and his men, sent them with the shepherds ahead of her to David, then she went to appeal to David. 

Abigail was a godly woman and she told David that so far, "the Lord has held you back from coming to bloodshed and from avenging yourself with your own hand" (of his personal enemies). She asked for forgiveness of her household and asked David to accept the food and provisions for Purim that she had sent to him. 

Abigail laid out a key principle in the kingdom of God for all of us, not just for David! In Samuel 25:28-31, she said:  “The Lord your God will certainly make a lasting dynasty for my lord, because you fight the Lord’s battles, and no wrongdoing will be found in you as long as you live. Even though someone is pursuing you to take your life, the life of my lord will be bound securely in the bundle of the living by the Lord your God, but the lives of your enemies he will hurl away as from the pocket of a sling. When the Lord has fulfilled for my lord every good thing he promised concerning him and has appointed him ruler over Israel, my lord will not have on his conscience the staggering burden of needless bloodshed or of having avenged himself. And when the Lord your God has brought my lord success, remember me, your servant.”

The ways of God are not like the ways mankind comes up with getting justice - even for the equality that women desire in this world, it comes by faith in the God we can entrust our lives with. The women of God have to grow up in the same kind of faith that Abigail exhibited of doing the right thing in God's eyes and leaving her equality in His hands, too. 

If you don't know Abigail's story, when she told her husband Nabal when he was sober the following morning all that she had done to rectify his mistake with David, "his heart failed him and he became like a stone. About ten days later, the Lord struck Nabal and he died." And when David heard Nabal was dead, he said, "“Praise be to the Lord, who has upheld my cause against Nabal for treating me with contempt. He has kept his servant from doing wrong and has brought Nabal’s wrongdoing down on his own head.” Then David sent word to Abigail, asking her to become his wife.

It may not feel like your circumstances can be entrusted to God, but even if it takes a long time, God can be trusted.

This is a vibrant, growing body of believers that in 1948 consisted of only 23 known Messianic believers in Yeshua (Jesus). Estimates today range from 25,000 to 35,000.

I loved how my friend, Sally Shiff of the Kfar Saba HaMaayan congregation wrote a special moment of revelation from God when she was new to the faith and only 20 years old. Being Jewish she was not raised knowing anything about Yeshua’s life. She writes, “It was Easter early morning and I was outside my house with a friend. It would have been the exact time in Israel that Jesus would have been undergoing crucifixion. As I looked up into the clouds, they turned from bright and almost non-existent to heavy cloud cover, dark gloomy. It was as if God let me witness how the elements of that day were like for those back then. I remember it as if it was yesterday. Also I always think about "Saturday," the day between Him dying and His resurrection. How awful the disciples must have felt, beyond words. We can look back now and know that Sunday was only 24 hours away, but to them, they didn't know about "Sunday".  . . . Israel is in "Saturday".  Saturday is a shabbat where we are commanded to focus on God and all His attributes. Not ourselves or circumstances. Shabbat is a time of prayer, a need for our Creator to help us, sustain us. To have hope once again that there is a "Sunday" and Sunday is coming.
    Sally flew into the US April 1 still monitoring developments in Israel closely. “The war is heating up regionally, rapidly our need in Israel is total dependence on God with total focus on kneeling before Him asking for His guidance and protection. The United States is becoming more and more distant from Israel with the current administration. It is not something I am fearful about as I know the body of believers there is strong in support. But we are defiantly heading towards the "sheep and goat" situation: Matt 25:31-46. | Pray that the current situation and threats of power outages etc will not cause fear among the people, but we would stay strong, steadfast, and humble before God. | Pray for the Body of Believers to reach out to friends and family to extend hope in Yeshua to those who have no hope. Every aspect of this war is not a surprise to God, He promises to care for us and for His land.

From David’s Tent Avner Boskey, Enduring the insults of the nations (Ezekiel 34:29) | God said it: a day is coming when Israel will no longer have to endure the insults of the nations….Today these insults are politically institutionalized at the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the European Union. As far as the United States goes, its position has gone through a see-saw of policy changes…. But YHVH’s perspectives on Israel-related matters do not fluctuate, for they are based on His covenant faithfulness to the Jewish people: “For I, YHVH, do not change! Avi Mizrachi of Dugit writes of “A String of Terrorist Attacks in Israel | Sunday, as many around the world joyously celebrated our risen King, we suffered a string of terror attacks in Israel. Just yesterday morning, a drone was launched by an Iran-supported militia in Iraq that damaged an Israeli military base. The day before, three young people were seriously injured when a terrorist went on a rampage attacking people in an Israeli mall. The same day as the mall attack, an IDF officer was stabbed and wounded during a terror attack at a bus station. Just a few days before this, a school bus filled with staff and children was shot at, injuring three, including a child. An ambulance was shot at, military transports, and more.
     Every day, it seems, more of these attacks are happening, causing waves of fear to sweep across the land…. May I humbly ask you to pray for Israel? And to pray about supporting us in the midst of these unprecedented times? We need your help to bring the good news of Yeshua to those gripped with terror, as well as food and other crucial supplies to those in need. In Arad, the Hebrew Hasdey Yeshua congregation talks about the Purim reality that in every generation there are those who want to exterminate the Jewish people. They write, “There are countless excuses for this hatred, but it all comes down to one thing. God promised He would never allow us to be completely wiped out. (Jeremiah 31:35-37) The enemy, Satan, desires to prove God a liar, and he uses anyone who is under his power to fulfill his purposes.
     “A lesser known aspect of the war is the drastic shortage of manpower it has caused. Our young men are gone from the fields, called up for reserve military duty, and foreign workers have returned home. If it weren’t for volunteers, mostly believers, from all around the world, crops would be rotting and very little cultivation would be taking place.”
     A beautiful report from Sara who ministers among the Bedouin about a woman whose like became tragic as a child when her father sold her mother to a man to pay a debt, then she and her 2 sisters ended up living as orphans in the middle of the desert. Now a woman, she is delighted with Sara’s ministry that gives her hope for a future – one in which she sees herself ministering to orphans as she once was. Leon Mazin of Return to Zion writes, “Last week there was a seminar for the married couples of our Congregation. Although the war in Israel is still going on and there are missile attacks from Lebanon in the North of our country, 24 couples went on the trip to the Sea of Gallilee. The long-lasting war is tiresome and rest, encouragement, as well as positive emotions are much needed. This place was not chosen by accident. The Sea of Gallilee is frequently mentioned in the New Testament. It is a place where our Lord Yeshua carried out a major part of His ministry on earth and it reminds us of our calling and mission on earth. Klod Izaguri (Claude Izagouri) and his wife Michelle, leaders of a Messianic Congregation from Tiberias, were invited as speakers. They shared with us their testimony of how they transformed from Orthodox Jews to believers and leaders of a Messianic Congregation, how God helped them to overcome difficulties in their family relationships, which is not uncommon for believers’ families. The next day we had a Shabbat service and some fun time with games and competitions. It was a wonderful time spent together by a big and friendly family.”
     The congregation also celebrated Purim….. The festive party ended with a costume competition and Haman ears being eaten. Purim Feast came to an end, but our ministries to new immigrants, needy and elderly people, Music school keep on going and we thank all of you for standing with us and praying for us. Dov Bikas of the Aviv Ministry sends an update on the different ministries the lead: in Tel Aviv the street outreach to addicts & street people, a Men’s Rehab and a Woman’s Shelter in Beer Sheva, and the food distribution project in Ashkelon. They work with some of the most despairing people of society – those who have no place to go – exactly the people we were told to snatch from the fire! These ministers do their work with the heart of the LORD to seek and save. Among those are the rehab was a man who didn’t have addictions, just in a temporary crisis with an immediate need for help. The help coming from Messianics was a testimony to this man from a traditional Orthodox family. Pray he finds Yeshua. | At the women’s shelter one of the ladies has become calmer, more emotionally stable and actively participates wanting more Bible studies. The other is highly traumatized but making progress. Pray both women find healing, peace and salvation. | At the food distribution in Asdod, Eduard was asked to visit a handicapped man. He brought him food, helped the man get to a hospital visit, and had many visits with the man of good conversations. “…when Eduard also prayed for I, his son later called and thanked Eduard. He was surprised that complete strangers had been paying his father so much attention. Neither Inor his son are believers, but meeting Eduard and his team has been a powerful testimony for them, and I is very open to learning about God. Please pray for him! Ronit Bender, in northern Israel, a ‘fixture’ at Kerem-El  and Ha Carmel Congregations, sent such a touching photo of a young waiter at a new restaurant she went to who brought her a yellow tulip and told her she was beautiful. She was touched, and I was touched by seeing the warm way he looked at her in the photo they took. She writes, “I just thought the Lord wanted me to know He is very present and loves me. It was hard to fight the tears back. In these very difficult times of war, these little spots of light shining into our lives, are so amazing!” Ronit is an amazing witness of Yeshua to her people in Israel always pouring out the ‘love light’ of Yeshua to those she meets. In this unexpected moment she experienced what the people she meets unexpectedly experience from her. A beautiful gift.
     At her hair salon, Ronit writes about giving a woman: “my testimony on YouTube. That salon is a mission field for me.  Over 7000 Israelis have watched my testimony on a YouTube channel catering to Hebrew speakers, and on another international channel, that number is almost 600000. Evan Santoro at Shelanu TV writes honestly, “The war continues here in Israel with no foreseeable end in sight and it feels like we are enveloped in a heavy dark cloud that never lifts. We go about our day-to-day activities, but nothing is quite the same as it was before the war. There is a tangible lack of joy surrounding everyone and everything.” Pray for all Israelis, most especially the Israeli believers and most especially those of them who are in active ministries. As Evan writes, “As believers in Yeshua, we stand shoulder to shoulder with our fellow Israelis, but we have a unique perspective on what is going on in the spiritual realm. We know that Satan is throwing all that he has against God’s chosen people. As believers, we see the signs of the times and though we do not know the day or hour, we can feel the birth pangs bringing us into a new chapter of history.

     These are not days to shrink back or fear but rather be bold and declare our faith in the face of the enemy.  We have read the Book, and we know how the story ends. God will rise up to scatter his enemies and we will begin to see miraculous interventions on behalf of Israel that will be the undeniable hand of God. As this happens, the Jewish people will be forced to reckon with the reality of their one and only true God and their Messiah. The blindfolds that have covered their eyes for so long will begin to fall and revival will spread across the nation. As this prophecy unfolds, Shelanu TV was birthed and strategically aligned for such a time as this.”  Evan shared good testimonies too, but this seemed the priority to pray for this programming of the Gospel in Hebrew. “From Israel, For Israel, Shelanu TV.” He writes, “We continue to progress in the opening of Shelanu TV as an independent Israeli non-profit organization. I believe this is an essential step in establishing our roots as a native Israeli ministry reaching out to the people of Israel.”

Ron Cantor writes, “Elana and I are in Europe raising awareness in churches concerning the rising tide of antisemitism. We are seeing now is a repeat of history. The enemy has hated Israel for millennia. Israel’s restoration represents his end. When Yeshua returns, he will judge the survivors based on how they treated his physical brothers. That is what the "sheep and the goats" prophecy is about! War will just have taken place against Israel, and when all will seem lost, the Messiah will come and fight for her. “Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle. Marianna Gol of Afikim BaNegev, Streams in the Desert, writes, “We thank you deeply for your prayers in this time of great shaking that is upon us. We are tired and often overwhelmed. The sadness, grief and barely-processed trauma is taking a toll. All of us seem to be working out afresh our relationship with God. Is the goodness we believe about Him really true? We struggle to align our hearts with our heads.” They press on and she writes about the annual Passover Hike with “40 teens, 15 young people and 5 support stuff attending. Please pray for all the preparations underway, especially the logistics of finding, moving and protecting all the equipment needed, and for the speakers, who will mostly be the counselors: I, A, E, and Marianna. Please pray for ears to hear and hearts to be greatly strengthened through this hike.” Also “Please pray for women in our project who are struggling with serious health issues and financial difficulties.”
     “With joy and gratitude we thank God for answering our prayers! Your prayers for our youth work are bearing fruit: the children are thriving and the numbers are growing. The young adult meeting in Ashkelon led by I and T is going very well. … so a new Hebrew-speaking fellowship of young adults has been born in the Land. T just gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby boy! We are so excited and grateful. Both mother and baby are doing great.”

April 4 2024: We have just learned my 80 year old husband – almost 81! – must undergo his fourth spine surgery for a degenerative spine disease he has suffered with since he was about 19. To not go forward would mean he will not able to walk.
     First, we would appreciate prayers as he has many other health issues factoring in – heart, thyroid, the usual old age diseases. Please pray for him and for me as I have to pick up a lot of taxing physical activity to cover what he normally does and also take care of him.
     Beyond prayer, this is also an appeal for financial support over this period of increased expenses that will strain our low monthly resources. IF you are able to send donations in support of this prayer summary in my time of need, I would greatly appreciate it.
