I have never been one that followed 'Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' type prophecy. It just holds no appeal to me. I know there are mysterious symbols and imagery in the prophetic Word of the Scriptures, but I am mostly interested in hearing the answer to what those mean and not much interested in hearing new mysterious symbols and imagery prophetic words, visions and dreams. I don't rule them out entirely, they are just not my priority prophetic interest.
My default setting is: what do the mysterious symbols and imagery prophetic words, visions and dreams in the Bible mean? That is where I focus to understand God's mysteries. I believe if the WHOLE prophetic movement focused primarily on seeking God for the answers to His mysteries in the Bible, that the whole prophetic movement would undergo a massive spiritual health upgrade...and so would all the followers of the prophetic too.
It has seemed to me for decades that the prophetic within the Church has become primarily a major form of entertainment for the people in the pews. For the people speaking endless mysterious symbols and imagery in prophetic words, visions and dreams it has become a position of status. Too much of the time I wonder how do these prophecies help us really? In my view, when God's mysteries in prophetic passages of the Bible are revealed, then we are truly getting equipped that is helpful for the times we are living in.
With that in mind I want to make a recommendation that you watch and listen to the message given by Israeli Tikkun Global head Asher Intrater in Dallas at Baruch HaShem Messianic over the past Shabbat (3/28). You can advance straight to Asher's message. He is introduced 1:03:00.
This is especially relevant to our times as Asher delves into the reality of spiritual warfare in the heavens and how it relates to the physical warfare on the earth. I was greatly heartened to hear how Asher sees the spiritual parallel of the United States standing with Israel in the righteous war with Iran. The spiritual parallel is that God's people in the United States are standing with God's purposes in Israel ... and also Iran. A mighty salvation is coming for both - but we must fight it to the finish for God's purposes to prevail.
To stand down before complete victory in Iran, would be like Aaron and Hur failing to support Moses arms in the battle against Amalek. Exodus 17:11-13. When they assisted by holding up Moses arms, it was a prophetic symbol of Moses' spiritual prayers being lifted in intercession before God. When Moses became weary, his arms dropped and the warfare on the battlefield shifted to the enemy getting the better of Israel. When Aaron and Hur came forth to hold up Moses weary arms, their assistance lifted the intercession to God once more, and Israel prevailed until the battle was won. This is a prophetic vision of how the Church can assist Israel as it fights against its enemy , the Islamic regime of Iran.
Spiritual warfare in the heavens directly impacts the physical war progress in Israel and Iran. The prayers of the saints holding up 'Moses' arms' today impact the battle below on the ground. As Exodus put it, "As long as Moses held up his hands (holding the staff of God), Israel prevailed; when he lowered them, Amalek prevailed."
Not only this but the United States standing in alliance with Israel to defeat the Iranian Islamist regime a prophetic picture of how Christian Americans are in spiritual alliance with their spiritual counterparts, the believing body of Messiah in Israel. They are the remnant of faith in Israel that God is using to bring in the spiritual harvest in Israel. We are allied with them and we are allied with God's purposes to completely overturn the Islamic regime in Iran so Iranians can be free too, and Israelis will not just have to fight the same battle with Iran again in a few years.
Do you get this? The internal American opposition to the U.S. role by Israel's side in this war, is ultimately decided by the prayers of the saints upholding the American will to complete the mission and remain loyal to Israel. That is not a political statement, that is God's purposes!
I was especially heartened with Asher's easy-to-understand insight on what makes a war "righteous" or not: It is based on moral clarity. God is not on men's sides one or the other of political wars, rather He is always seeking moral clarity to reestablish righteousness.
This was the point of Joshua's meeting with the Commander of the ARMIES of Heaven in Joshua 5:13-15 where the pre-incarnate Yeshua indicates to Joshua that he doesn't choose man's sides, but He only represents God's purposes. We have to choose the same, and we can only do that with the moral clarity of what God's purposes are.
I have been following Asher's teachings closely since the early to mid1990's. Not casually, but pressing in. I have transcribed many of Asher's teachings to get it down in my spirit better.
Prophetically, there are less than a handful of people I would put on the same level of prophetic anointing as Asher. He doesn't go around proclaiming he is a prophet but few have understood what God's Word is saying to us prophetically about Israel and the Church in the last days. Asher makes the Word of God, the Bible, his priority and God gives him eyes to see. That works for me. This is a word in due season.
