 WAR WEARS ON
BUT Israelis Overwhelmingly Support
Keeping up the Pressure on Iran
Here's why:

Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries

Miriam Abramov of Awake Israel wrote:  “Israelis support the war greatly. It helps you feel the land now.” It is from the Times of Israel article “A Deluxe War
"Public backing is still sky-high despite sirens, sleepless nights and shuttered schools. The reason, pollsters say, is Israelis feel they’re waging an existential fight in relative safety. . . .The past 18 days have not been easy here in Israel. As of early Wednesday morning, 14 people have been killed in Israel from Iranian missile attacks. The north is under a constant barrage of rockets and drones from Hezbollah, with IDF soldiers pushing deeper into Lebanon. Routinely, Israel’s hospitals record more than 100 people admitted per day due to injuries from the fightingwhether from missile attacks themselves or the constant rush to shelter every time a siren sounds.
“Speaking of bomb sirens: Quiet nights in central Israel, where the population is concentrated, feel like an increasingly distant memory, especially for people who need to leave their apartment every time the alarm blares….In most of the country, parents have had almost three trying weeks at home with their kids as workplaces stay open but schools remain shuttered, with the two-week Passover break around the corner."

Michael Beener of the City of Life in Sderot explained the Passover in a prophetic picture that should especially set off lightbulbs in Christian understanding when he asked, “Is Passover the origin of Israel as a People?” He said, “Passover, or Pesach, marks the transformation of the Israelites from slavery to a chosen people with a unique identity and divine purpose. God led them through the wilderness, giving them the Torah and establishing a covenant, showing that liberation is not only physical but also spiritual.” Watch this video as Michael shares more on this, or you can read the article there too.

Israel Pochtar of Beit Hallel in Ashdod writes, “These days in Israel, life often moves between two realities at once. There are moments of quiet gathering and moments of sudden urgency. There is the sound of worship—and sometimes, the sound of sirens. And in the middle of it all, we are learning again what it means to walk by faith, not by sight.” | Turning Bomb Shelters into Places of Hope VIDEO | Read: Faith Louder than Sirens | When the Covenant is Broken, God Restores VIDEO | Packing Care in a Time of War VIDEO | VIDEO A Ministry of Comfort

Ariel Hyde
of Tree of Life Israel shares “A harrowing experience for Ariel’s family with sirens in the night ("I honestly thought it could be the end"), God’s promise and plan to awaken Israel and Iran, and your part as watchmen on the walls during this crucial time. Watch the Podcast

Avi Mizrachi of Dugit Outreach Ministries writes, “The war with Iran is still ongoing! Hundreds of missiles & drones struck Israel....Wednesday night, the Hezbollah terrorists fired 150 rockets into the Galilee & Northern Israel. The Galileans spent the whole night in the bomb shelters....in Tel Aviv, thousands of Israelis rushed to the underground light rail station, where they could find shelter from the ballistic missiles from Iran. Since thousands of Israelis in Tel Aviv do not have protective rooms in their apartments, they run to these public underground bomb shelters.....Please pray for protection over Israel, for the safety of our families, and for God’s peace to reach those living in fear. . . .Our distribution center in Tel Aviv has still been handing out food and supplies to needy families, as well as providing the basic items that will be needed for people to keep Passover despite the war. . ..would you also prayerfully consider supporting us financially so we can immediately respond to the hurting people of Israel—providing practical assistance, spiritual care, and the message of hope?

Reuven Doron One New Man Today sends on 3/12 VIDEO A New Middle East
and Holy War also a video. Like Reuven writes in his two mailings on those days, we aren’t seeing a lot from him right now because they are “kinda busy” taking care of each other as the sirens to run to shelter have been going off continuously. Both of these short videos give a synopsis of things he shared in his emails.

Chaim Malespin of the Aliyah Return Center on 3/13 made an appeal on behalf of so many Israelis who have lost their homes due to the illegal cluster bombs sent by Iran – 220 ballistic missile and 110 drones launched at Israel. Hezballah has fired more than 200 rockets/100 drones. How do Israelis come back from such devastation without our help? Watch Chiam’s VIDEO here.

Youval Yanay of Revive Israel wrote on 3/13: “Last Friday, something unexpected happened. Our weekly market filled up in a way we have never quite seen before. People kept arriving, one after another, and soon the space was full. It was clear that many simply needed to be around others. After days of tension, alerts, and long hours at home, people were hungry for connection. The morning slowly turned into something more than a market. Conversations lingered. Children ran around. People began signing and even dancing. For a few hours, the atmosphere felt lighter. People stayed longer than usual, not in a hurry to leave. We are planning to open the market again this coming Friday in the same spirit.

Leon Mazin of Return to Zion in Haifa writes: To be honest, I’m not really in the habit of writing frequent updates or emails. Being both a Senior Pastor and a Ministry Director, I don’t always find the time and mood to write letters. But right now parts of our work are paralyzed, and I’ve been receiving requests to share what we’re going through. So, here I am sharing.))) Yesterday evening was dedicated to an online Bible study with our Congregation on the letter to Ephesians Chapter 2. During the day I was busy preparing, but then, around 4:00 PM, I got a call warning me that something was "brewing" for the evening. Our "word-of-mouth" network works better than the Mossad!)))) We informed all those who love attending online meetings 'in their cars' that today it’s better to stay home and be close to a protected space. We finished at 7:30 PM and by 8:00 PM, the shelling began….about 250 rockets were fired at the north, and it doesn't matter where exactly in "Northern Israel" you live—your house shakes in any case.

Dov Bikas of the Aviv Ministry in Tel Aviv writes, I have to admit that in the past I treated rocket attacks somewhat casually. Living in a large city, it felt a bit like winning the lottery: what are the chances that a rocket would hit exactly where I am? But when an explosion happened near my mother’s empty apartment and all the windows were blown out, it definitely woke me up. . . .These days I have been reading the Psalms a lot and have noticed how many of David’s songs speak about enemies and ask for God’s justice. . . .most of us prefer to focus on love and peace rather than confrontation. But when you consider the long history of Israel, it becomes easier to understand. For centuries there have been nations and regimes that sought to destroy the Jewish people – from ancient empires to the Nazis, and today groups like Hamas and Hezbollah and the Iranian leadership. So I asked myself: what is the real reason for such hatred? . . .I came to Psalm 67, where David shifts from speaking about enemies to praying that the nations would come to know God. And this struck me as the real answer. . . .Only when hearts truly change, real peace becomes possible.

Dani and LuAnne Sayag at the Carmel Congregation write: "On Shabbat, Dani spoke on Psalm 23. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me (v 4). For many of us, it was such a refreshing and comforting word. We know that our God is not just a shepherd; He is my shepherd. He is the One who is leading us into all these challenges right now, and He is the one who is with us as we go through whatever may be attacking or surrounding us. (WATCH the message) . . .On the day that this is written, our congregation is marking 6 years of continual prayer on Zoom from Monday-Thursday between 6:00-7:00 am. . . .We are so deeply grateful for the many words of encouragement and support that have been expressed to us through your emails and texts. Your prayers for the situation are urgently needed. Watch singing in the bomb shelter at the congregation.

Avi Mizrachi of Dugit Outreach Ministries writes: “Thank you for standing with us in prayer and support. Your faithfulness strengthens us, and we are deeply grateful for the way you continue to lift Israel before Him. As the needs around us continue to grow, your prayers and your generosity make it possible for us to respond with compassion and share the hope of Yeshua in ways that truly meet people where they are. Watch Avi's short video message with clips for their times with the family including the grandchildren in the bomb shelter.

Claude Ezagouri
writes on 3/11 from the Morning Star Fellowship praises God for the relatively few casualties, but notes the damages are still high: "Several people have been killed or wounded by the missiles. Over 3 million people do not have shelters.    There is no school, so children are at home or in shelters. This prevents many parents from going to work. As the country is partly paralyzed, the war is becoming costly not just militarily but also because many people are forced to be unemployed. It is costly to compensate those who cannot work and those whose house has been destroyed by the missiles. . . .Obviously, we covet your intercession for protection.
"....This last Sabbath we held a meeting with restricted attendance as it is illegal to gather more than 50 people. However, we zill probably invite whoever can come to the next meeting. We have a responsibility to pray not only for us but also for our city. Most of our home groups are on Zoom but some gather physically too. Some people tend to remain at home and don’t attend the meetings because of the alerts. Some members of our fellowship who cannot work find it hard to provide for their families. Consequently, the offerings dwindled. We gave instructions according to 1 Cor. 16:1-2 as far as possible."

Moti Cohen’s team at Tiferet Yeshua write about keeping the congregation together in war. Covid taught them to “be flexible and connect online.” They also hold 2 Zoom prayer meetings during the week. Meanwhile they are serving the homeless between sirens: Read more. Also read: A New Season of Hope and Freedom for the Middle East?

Avner Boskey of David’s Tent (Final Frontier Ministries) writes The Bear, the Lion and the Eagle. “And Behold, Another Beast, Resembling A Bear” (Daniel 7:5)
Avner explores the prophetic scripture and current events.

Ruby Bishai of Fields of Wheat, and part of leadership the Katzir Youth camps even as I was writing about their hopes to hold the Passover camp that is much needed by the youth, has written to say that with sadness they have come to the decision to cancel the camp. War is still on, Ruby is still stuck in the United States, and the camp director is called up for IDF reserve duty. It just became impossible. Ruby wisely observed, "In many ways, social media has trained us to only share the highlights while hiding the struggles? But real ministry, and real relationships, don’t work that way." He writes, "During this unexpected time in the United States, I have experienced firsthand the kindness, generosity, empathy, and patience of many people who care deeply about what God is doing in Israel. And that is what we sincerely desire, real partnership, in both the good times and the difficult ones." Ruby also asks for prayers for peace and healing to begin in the Middle East region. That more will come to know Yeshua and for prayers for the teenagers of Israel. "Please lift them up in prayer, that they would find strength, hope, and comfort during such a difficult season. . . .that God would continue to raise up young leaders in the land who will carry His light into the future. We are deeply grateful that you are standing with us."

Guy Cohen who leads the Harvest of Asher congregation sends a short article about Yeshua in the Passover and includes a link to further teaching on the Passover and also a link to a free download of their Passover Haggadah. From a family of rabbis, Guy has gone through many of the pressures and challenges put on young Israeli Jewish men who come to faith in Yeshua, Israel’s Messiah. I imagine this has a lot to do with how much anointing Guy walks in. I’ve always been impressed by Guy, meeting him over many years and reading his writing over the full time he launched the congregation in the town of his birth.

Kobi & Shani Ferguson writes from Maoz Ministries, "They say if Covid and the October 7th War had a baby, it would look like today's Iran War."

    Donna:
Many Israelis are commenting on the non-stop disruption of “normal” life in Israel going from one chaos period to the next in Covid, Oct 7 War to Iran War. One could easily see that Israel is going through “the birth pangs” of Israel’s spiritual birth in Messiah. (Don’t be tempted to think Israelis are the only ones that will go through these birth pangs either!) Mark it down: these are not Braxton-Hicks contractions – the spiritual birth of “all Israel” is really coming!

Kobi & Shani: To avoid the worst of "fuzzy war syndrome,” many Israelis, including us, have opted to sleep in the bombshelter on a mattress. You still wake up from the sirens and subsequent booms but you get to avoid the "weightlifting your children" challenge at midnight. . . . Not everyone is at home. Our daughter, who was drafted just weeks after October 7th happened, is now up defending our northern border against Hezbollah. Also, several members of the Maoz team were called up as reserves to ground and Air Force to help keep Hamas at bay in Gaza and address the Iran threat on the entire Middle East and free world beyond. Prayers for their wellbeing are so appreciated. . . .Prayer Points: For elderly who stay in their home because they have no one to help them to a bombshelter. For families who have been raising children without a parent for the past three years because they serve in the military. For people who must again evacuate their homes on the northern border because of the constant barrage of Hezbollah drones and missiles.

Sally Shiff  Intercessor & Liaison for Kehilat HaMaayan wrote, “Who would have ever thought that 3 years ago on Oct 7, 2023, we would be where we are now. The thought of having peace even for a while until a new enemy "pop's up" gives us hope and solace as Israel runs to the shelter 5+ times a day and night. Just last night, I suddenly woke up by siren and at 3 am to run to the shelter, most nights lately it's 3x a night place, about 4x a day. Needless to say, we are all tired. Our brain space is limited, and at work, we have to check and double check each other that we have completed what were simple tasks before the ballistic rockets. Aside from my above description, I am doing well. . . .My laptop is currently being fixed, so lucky for you, I will only be able to send updates 1x a week. I am sure you are getting all the news about the war in your country, so I just wanted to give you what we hear here to give you a different perspective.
