Arrows from Zion
Summarized from the Weekly Summary of Prayer

The Clash of Narratives comes from
observations by Chaim Malespin in a 11/2 Faithful Galileans letter. This is
not just about how the world responds to Israel, this is how the world is
increasingly responding to Christians of true faith. That’s because it is not
about Israel, per se, it is about spiritual warfare against the plan of God.
We must realize what we are up against, not random events in the natural world
but the great war of the demonic against God’s plans.
Chaim writes, “The image of Israel portrayed around the
world is often very different from the reality of living in Israel. Many people, when they come to Israel, find it very different
from what they expected. Israel is incredibly multicultural, a blend of both
ancient and modern, with a spectrum of colors, races, and religions. For many,
this comes as a surprise.
We have had a hard time combating the lies spread against
Israel, as the narratives often clash! We’ve been called colonizers,
fascists, Nazis, or accused of causing famine, genocide, and the starvation of
children. Sadly many people believe this. Social
media has helped to fuel this storm of lies. Sharing facts until we are blue in the face has not had the same impact as Gaza’s PR. We have many social media influencers who carefully and
meticulously share the truth and debunk the lies, but not everyone is willing
to listen. One picture of a suffering child in Gaza receives far
more attention and empathy. . . . The Bible warns of this: “Do not be deceived, my beloved
brothers.” James 1:16
It doesn’t help that the platforms
people trust, including social media influencers, are quick to
share Hamas’s lies and images without fact-checking.
The authority they have, have
influence on what people believe to be true.
And sadly many Pastors and
churches have been silent about the war. Or due to lack of understanding about the multi layered
complications of the conflict or the connections of modern day Israel to the Bible,
have supported Hamas, even without meaning to do so. This is why discipleship is so important. Before diving into history
and the political narratives, it is important to understand what the Bible says
about Israel, about the covenants that God made about the Land of Israel, and
prophetic scriptures.

Eitan Shishkoff of Fields of Wheat
writes the good news even the “The secular Israeli press is reporting a new spiritual openness since the horrors of October 7, 2023….From the hostages who survived
through prayer and reciting Hebrew scripture, to a rabbi's reminder that the
ultimate Author of Israel's deliverance is the God of Israel, our people's
hearts are being drawn to the Lord.
THIS
is why we give ourselves to the youth of Israel. (And by "we," I'm including you as a vital part of
Fields of Wheat.) We provide the best
equipping we can, because they are the
messengers who will enable those genuinely seeking the God of Israel to
discover their (our) Messiah, Yeshua!

Joel 2(:28-31) and Romans 10(:11-15) - The timing of Joel's prophecy is the
"latter days" before the awesome day of Yeshua's return. And the anointing of God's Spirit will rest
primarily on our sons and daughters. . . .So, beloved, this is why we are pouring
into the young believers in Israel.
THEY are the
generation upon whom the Spirit will rest, with supernatural equipping to make
Yeshua known in His land. And you and I have been drawn into this
drama, to take our parts on the stage of the end-time revival leading to
Messiah's return to eradicate evil and inaugurate His eternal kingdom. … PRAY

the Chanukah Youth Camp (Dec. 18-21)…. THANKS for catching the vision of equipping Israeli youth to be
the messengers to their increasingly open and searching fellow Israelis. Donations can be made here.
Pastor Israel Pochar who leads the Beit Hallel congregation and a
network of daughter congregations sends out a Weekly Hebrew Word – it’s part
language study and truly a devotional of its own. Here is an just a few
excerpts from 10/30 Tikun (תקון) — Restoration Made New in Yeshua We’ve
all had moments when something dear to us breaks —
a relationship, a dream, a part of our heart we thought would never heal. Sometimes
life leaves cracks we don’t know how to fill, and we wonder if things will ever
be whole again. That’s where
the Hebrew word Tikun (tee-KOON) speaks so beautifully. It means
restoration, renewal, repair. But in Hebrew thought, it’s more than fixing
what’s broken —
it’s about making it new again. . . .Through Yeshua, Tikun becomes personal. He restores what sin destroyed, mends what grief has
torn apart, and fills what once was empty with His presence and peace....Prayer: Lord Yeshua, thank You
that You are my Tikun — my Restorer and Redeemer. Take every broken
piece of my life and make it new in Your hands. Let Your healing flow through me, bringing restoration to others and
glory to Your name. To subscribe

Orna Grinman, A Sign &
Example, is announcing a new series “reveals how the same God who brought the people of Israel out of
slavery into freedom thousands of years ago, can cause the same transformation
in our lives today. Drawing on the Scriptures, and especially the mystery of
the Tabernacle, she presents a model of healing and freedom that breaks cycles
of addiction, oppression, and inner bondage. The
series was recorded in Hebrew in Israel, and is now available with English
subtitles. It provides a practical pathway to becoming who we were truly
created to be: free, strong, and whole. If you are interested in personal coaching through this process,
check this brochure and
prayerfully consider joining us in Israel next year to attend this seminar. Watch

The team at Revive Israel
has been preparing for
the new discipleship program that began last Sunday. Immediately
prior to this they harvested a new crop they’ve never grown before – purple sweet
potatoes. They couldn’t know how much they would actually harvest until they
started digging the potatoes up – and it was an abundance beyond what they
imagine. This they related to discipling people: So often in
life, we water, tend, pray, and believe, yet see no visible results. But when
the time of harvest comes, often when we least expect it, we suddenly see the
fruit, far beyond what we could have imagined. . . .” So true! Pray for their team, the
participants and for all resources needed —
spiritual, physical, and financial, that nothing would be lacking for what God
desires to do. || If the Lord
places it on your heart to give toward this program and invest in the next
generation of disciples in Israel, you
can do so here.

Torah
on War | I participated in the recent large Haredi
demonstration in Jerusalem. It was a very intense time. For one thing, among
the approximately 250,000 protestors, I did not see even ONE Israel flag. (For
that matter, not one female, nor one item of clothing with color!) One of
the many confusing issues on the Haredi agenda is the claim that for the
sake of the Torah, they cannot serve in
the army. Yet it is the very Torah of Moses that initiated the idea of
an Israelite army! There were some counter protesters who actually held up
signs with quotations of Torah verses with commands to serve in the army. Read article in full
Howard Bass wrote about the
remembrance each years (except during the last 2 years of war) for the “Oct 31, 1917, with the ANZAC victory of
the British led, NZ riflemen, and Aussie Lighthorse capturing Beer Sheva in a blazingly courageous horse charge on the Ottoman Turks.” It
was a breakthrough “opening the way for the Allied forces….The victory in Beer Sheva made possible the proclamation of the Balfour
Declaration on Nov 2, 1917, which God used to bring the Gentile world
powers to allow for the legal return of the Jewish people to their ancient and
future homeland.” All the way Howard is emphasizing this was all made possible
by GOD, who covenanted this land to Israel. They also played host to Native
Americans from Canada and Alaska – groups who honor Israel as the indigenous
people of the Land as the Indians are to North America.
Howard writes: God
is testing the hearts of people everywhere, but firstly in the hearts of Jews
and Christians, with whom He is in covenant relationship, and to whom
has been revealed His Word and thoughts. (Lk 2:29-35) Most Jews today,
including believers, are not living in Israel, and very many "blame"
Israel for their discomfort and antisemitism in their Gentile countries of
residence; yet God says His name is
reproached by His people preferring to live in other lands, but not in the
one that He has promised to give them. (Ezek 36:16-28; Mt 6:9-10) It is a heart
check of identity, faithfulness and unity among the people and nation. (Ps
137)
On
the family front, Howard and Randi have just welcomed their 8th
grandchild, a girl that Rotem and Joseph have names Yuval Shalom (led forth in
peace). All the Israeli contingent family members came together last week –
with the 3 babies born in the last 11 months. And they have gotten word from
the U.S. where Evan and Joyanna are announcing grandchild #9 is on the way.
Congratulations and blessings to this family, who are the children of Howard
and Randi are committed followers of Yeshua. That is a blessed family line for
sure.
I’m not even sure how long I have known Sally Shiff in Kfar Saba at the
HaMaayan congregation, but I do know this: her testimony of growing up in
Tucson, Az in the second conservative synagogue in the United States (!)
founded by her grandparents, just astounded me. From a young age she was
surrounded pretty much only by Jews to the point that she says “that I thought all old
people were Jewish.” Her grandfather visited
Israel in the last ten years of his life spending 3 months there each year and bringing
“he would bring back a little more Israeli culture with him each time….. I guess you could say I was a born
Zionist. Proud of my heritage, proud of my faith, proud of God’s promised
land, Israel....I
only knew Jews.” But
God was already drawing Sally’s heart toward Him.
I would never have guessed this was
the life story of Sally Shiff. I would have sworn she had a secular upbringing.
This is such a fascinating testimony and the next time she writes, she is going
to share how she came to faith in Yeshua. Believe me, it is a testimony that
you want to read. You can email Sally
here. Thank you also, Sally for the last two years of writing things we needed
to know about the war – every single day. We know that was a sacrifice but you
know how badly we needed to hear the things you sent us. Again, thank you!
