The sad
fact is, we have a huge swath of our younger Christian generations who have
made moral choices in line with their peer group rather than based on God's
Word. If any faith publication captured the essence of this it is Relevant Magazine and the generations
they serve. Relevant was created by
the son of the major figure at Charisma Magazine,
and perhaps captures the same rebellion of their generation against the
fathers' beliefs. Relevant is a
departure from God's Word to follow more 'relevant' peer morality of social
issues.
Please
note: I am not singling out Charisma and Relevant magazines to pick on
them, they just provide a handy frame of identifying reference that is rampant
throughout all the streams of Western Christian generational divides.
A major issue, I believe, for the
departure from the Charisma generation
by the Relevant generation, is that Charisma has to take hold of the
significance to God of the growing body of the Lord in Israel. Charisma has always been pro-Israel, but
it has not fully embraced the body of the Lord in Israel, instead
preferring the Christian ministries who do outreach in order to court rabbis
and politicos in Israel. They cling to connecting with UNsaved Israel at the
expense of saved Israel.
The Relevant
generation fully rejects modern Israel as significant to God at all. Their
Christian fathers have an "Israel does no wrong" view as far as the Relevant Christian generation are
concerned. And so have rebelled to the point of becoming pro-Palestinian are
embracing the lies of terrorist spin. (Yes, Christ
at the Crossroads figures call themselves Christians but they have rejected
God's Word on the matter, while receiving the terrorists' narratives about the
Palestinian right to the land of Israel.)
In my view, the Charisma generation fathers' views on Israel has created the fully
rebellious Relevant generation leading
them to confuse who is David and who is Goliath in the Israeli-Palestinian
conflicts for the past 77 years.
The Charisma
generation by not deepening in God's Word that declares HIS plan for
Israel, has led the 'Relevant'
generation to see Israel as the problem, therefore embracing the
pro-Palestinian narratives and goals. They
have become even more spiritually blind than their fathers who love Israel, but
fail to support the REAL plan of God to bring Israelis to faith through the
BODY of the LORD IN ISRAEL.
The Relevant
Christian generation is steeped in
Palestinian (terrorist) narratives. Believing lies they cannot even see the
terrorist goal is not a "2 state solution' but a complete eradication of
Jews from Israel. If you do not
understand that the Palestinian people have been led by terrorists from the
beginning (Arafat) and ever since (Hamas, the Palestinian Authority) you will
not understand that the majority of Palestinians also are under the sway of
terrorist indoctrination. You will defend them as
innocents rather than pray for God to break the terrorist lies that hold
them in the path to hell!
Because the Charisma fathers' have failed to go on in embracing God's plan
(Eph 2:15) to join Christians and saved Israel together as one new man in the
faith of His Son, they have
discouraged younger generations to believe we have any idea what morality truly
is. So the Relevant Christian
generation pursue their own peer morality on the issue of Israel
(humanistic morality), and in addressing all other social issues like
homosexuality, racial, equality of sexes.
I keep seeing the analysis of Christians
who study the differences in Christian generations saying that it is because the Relevant generation want to make an
impact difference on their world – not unlike the 1960’s Peace Corps was seen
to be. For the Relevant generations,
this is why younger Christians have backed
Black Lives Matter, feminist views of equality and justice, or even the
pro-Palestinian stance. All of these humanistic campaigns inevitably have descended
into violence and other evils because they are not based on God's Word, they
are based on moving target of humanistic morality.
Once
God's Word is rejected as the ultimate word on any subject, spiritual error can
only increase. Hosea 4:6 was not a word exclusively for Israel in the day
Hosea spoke it. It is a word for the Charisma
and Relevant generations. "My
people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected
knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten
the law of your God, I also will forget your children."
Some may think I place too much priority on Christians awakening to
God's plan for the restoration of Israel, but if we do not get that right,
our blindness will lead us down a darker and darker path away from what God is
doing among all His people at this time in the latter days.
FYI to all Christians: It
is not necessary for Israel to welcome international Christians to do
evangelism tourism. That is not going to happen because that is not God's plan
on how He will restore Israel spiritually! What is necessary is for
international Christians to support the Israeli Messianic Ministries, 200+
Messianic congregations, and upwards of 20,000 Israeli Messianic Jewish
believers in reaching their own nation with the love and of Yeshua.
You believe it must be Christians
who bring the Good News of Salvation to Israel, but that is not the right
understanding. To "make Israel
jealous" you must embrace the Israeli body of the Messiah, praying for
them and aiding them financially to fulfill ~their~ mandate from God to bear
witness to the salvation of Yeshua/Jesus. And if you feel youmust go to
Israel yourself to feel a part of Israel's restoration, go as a volunteer to
the Messianic ministries who can put you to work short term helping them
minister to their people with humanitarian aid and other practical things. Go
to be a living testimony, not just a
verbal witness.
Israelis need to hear from their
fellow Israelis who are walking in the same extremely challenging life in
Israel as them. NOW is the time to wake up from this blindness to God's plan to
restore Israel spiritually!
