  the Israel of God

by Donna Diorio

The sad fact is, we have a huge swath of our younger Christian generations who have made moral choices in line with their peer group rather than based on God's Word. If any faith publication captured the essence of this it is Relevant Magazine and the generations they serve. Relevant was created by the son of the major figure at Charisma Magazine, and perhaps captures the same rebellion of their generation against the fathers' beliefs. Relevant is a departure from God's Word to follow more 'relevant' peer morality of social issues.
Please note: I am not singling out Charisma and Relevant magazines to pick on them, they just provide a handy frame of identifying reference that is rampant throughout all the streams of Western Christian generational divides.
A major issue, I believe, for the departure from the Charisma generation by the Relevant generation, is that Charisma has to take hold of the significance to God of the growing body of the Lord in Israel. Charisma has always been pro-Israel, but it has not fully embraced the body of the Lord in Israel, instead preferring the Christian ministries who do outreach in order to court rabbis and politicos in Israel. They cling to connecting with UNsaved Israel at the expense of saved Israel.
The Relevant generation fully rejects modern Israel as significant to God at all. Their Christian fathers have an "Israel does no wrong" view as far as the Relevant Christian generation are concerned. And so have rebelled to the point of becoming pro-Palestinian are embracing the lies of terrorist spin. (Yes, Christ at the Crossroads figures call themselves Christians but they have rejected God's Word on the matter, while receiving the terrorists' narratives about the Palestinian right to the land of Israel.)
In my view, the Charisma generation fathers' views on Israel has created the fully rebellious Relevant generation leading them to confuse who is David and who is Goliath in the Israeli-Palestinian conflicts for the past 77 years.
The Charisma generation by not deepening in God's Word that declares HIS plan for Israel, has led the 'Relevant' generation to see Israel as the problem, therefore embracing the pro-Palestinian narratives and goals. They have become even more spiritually blind than their fathers who love Israel, but fail to support the REAL plan of God to bring Israelis to faith through the BODY of the LORD IN ISRAEL.
The Relevant Christian generation  is steeped in Palestinian (terrorist) narratives. Believing lies they cannot even see the terrorist goal is not a "2 state solution' but a complete eradication of Jews from Israel. If you do not understand that the Palestinian people have been led by terrorists from the beginning (Arafat) and ever since (Hamas, the Palestinian Authority) you will not understand that the majority of Palestinians also are under the sway of terrorist indoctrination. You will defend them as innocents rather than pray for God to break the terrorist lies that hold them in the path to hell!
Because the Charisma fathers' have failed to go on in embracing God's plan (Eph 2:15) to join Christians and saved Israel together as one new man in the faith of His Son, they have discouraged younger generations to believe we have any idea what morality truly is. So the Relevant Christian generation pursue their own peer morality on the issue of Israel (humanistic morality), and in addressing all other social issues like homosexuality, racial, equality of sexes.

I keep seeing the analysis of Christians who study the differences in Christian generations saying that it is because the Relevant generation want to make an impact difference on their world – not unlike the 1960’s Peace Corps was seen to be.  For the Relevant generations, this is why  younger Christians have backed Black Lives Matter, feminist views of equality and justice, or even the pro-Palestinian stance. All of these humanistic campaigns inevitably have descended into violence and other evils because they are not based on God's Word, they are based on moving target of humanistic morality.
Once God's Word is rejected as the ultimate word on any subject, spiritual error can only increase. Hosea 4:6 was not a word exclusively for Israel in the day Hosea spoke it. It is a word for the Charisma and Relevant generations. "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children."
Some may think I place too much priority on Christians awakening to God's plan for the restoration of Israel, but if we do not get that right, our blindness will lead us down a darker and darker path away from what God is doing among all His people at this time in the latter days.
FYI to all Christians: It is not necessary for Israel to welcome international Christians to do evangelism tourism. That is not going to happen because that is not God's plan on how He will restore Israel spiritually! What is necessary is for international Christians to support the Israeli Messianic Ministries, 200+ Messianic congregations, and upwards of 20,000 Israeli Messianic Jewish believers in reaching their own nation with the love and of Yeshua.
You believe it must be Christians who bring the Good News of Salvation to Israel, but that is not the right understanding. To "make Israel jealous" you must embrace the Israeli body of the Messiah, praying for them and aiding them financially to fulfill ~their~ mandate from God to bear witness to the salvation of Yeshua/Jesus. And if you feel youmust go to Israel yourself to feel a part of Israel's restoration, go as a volunteer to the Messianic ministries who can put you to work short term helping them minister to their people with humanitarian aid and other practical things. Go to be a living testimony, not just a verbal witness.
Israelis need to hear from their fellow Israelis who are walking in the same extremely challenging life in Israel as them. NOW is the time to wake up from this blindness to God's plan to restore Israel spiritually!

Arrows from Zion
Summarized from the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests Israeli Ministries

Avi Mizrachi of Dugit Messianic Outreach writes, “The Lord is Calling Us into the Streets: The time has come to reach out like never before!
If you have ever been to Israel, I hope you did more than see the biblical sites. I hope you felt the heartbeat of this land—its people. When my wife Chaya and I founded Dugit Outreach Ministries more than thirty-five years ago, it was the people of Israel who captivated our hearts. That love has only deepened over the years, stirring in us a greater longing to see lives transformed and hope restored. While Israel was chosen to be a light to the nations, many still have yet to discover the joy of knowing that their Messiah has already come ….When I first became a believer in Yeshua, the Lord made it clear to me: “Go back to your people. Tell them about the Messiah.” That calling birthed this ministryto proclaim the Good News and to be the Good News to the lost and hurting in Israel. In our early days, we launched a coffee house and planted a local congregation. But we also went out—into the streets, the parks, the marketplaces—sharing our testimonies, praying for strangers, loving people tangibly…. we encountered need after need, our mission grew. That is how the Distribution Center was born—to meet the practical needs of struggling families and the homeless.
     Then came October 7, 2023….
now the Lord has begun speaking to my heart that we are to press into the streets, to go into the highways and the byways. To expand our street ministry like never before. To go to the lost, the hurting, and the broken. To share the Good News of Yeshua day and night beyond our walls. Would you stand with us as we rise in faith to answer this call?
We must spread the Good News of Messiah and go out after more hearts for Yeshua. But we cannot neglect the many urgent needs God has also called us to meet. So, we need your prayers, and your help. Will you sow into this ministry to help us reach the people of Israel by giving your best gift today?

In Ashdod, Pastor Israel Pochtar of Beit Hallel writes, “Life in Israel right now is anything but ordinary—but in the middle of it all, we’re seeing God’s hand at work in incredible ways. At Beit Hallel, people are coming to faith in Yeshua …. here in the heart of Ashdod, something really special is happening at our new Evangelism and Discipleship Center…. what’s taking shape is so much more than just a building—it’s a place where lives are going to be changed forever. We’re not just fixing up an old space. We’re creating a spiritual home—a place where worship will rise to heaven like a fragrant offering, where people will be taught how to follow Yeshua with their whole hearts, and where the Good News will be shared boldly in Ashdod and far beyond across Israel.

The Ripple Effect of Kindness Over and over again, we witness the same beautiful pattern: the very people who once came to us in need become the ones who now reach out to help others. It’s the ripple effect of love—touching hearts, inspiring generosity, and weaving lives together in ways that will last for eternity. There is a beautiful report in from Fields of Wheat from Katzir Youth Camp director Joel Jelski about the summer camp just passed. The theme of this camp was based on DT 6:5 to love “God with all your heart, soul, and strength.” They hosted 90 teens and 30 young adult counselors & volunteers – all of whom are included in the camp leaders vision to spiritually invest in spiritual equipping for the Lord’s harvest. There was special time given pre-camp for the counselors & volunteers – fun, fellowship and ministry time just as is poured out on the teens attending the camp. “One of the highlights of the camp was volunteering in a local farmer’s fields, helping clear out weeds and bushes that had overgrown and spread after two years of war—untended, due to the demand for reserve soldiers. The farmer and our team leaders were amazed at the progress our group made in just 3 hours of volunteer work.” Watch this short highlight video of the camp.
But something unexpected happened at the camp that underscored a deep spiritual message to all. Joel’s father died on the night before the youth were to arrive to camp and would be buried according to Jewish custom within a day. Joel and his dad had been estranged for many years, and his father kept distance that Joel hoped to reconcile. Joel wrote,Eitan (Shishkoff) knew my dad from our shared history in Haifa in the 90’s, and he has known our family for decades. Half of my family was also serving at the camp with me. So we took Sunday to grieve and to share our hearts as a family. Then, we went right back to the camp to continue serving the youth. . . .On Wednesday, I shared with the teens very openly about some of my story with my dad—my journey from hatred and bitterness to the freedom God brought into my own heart (at a Katzir camp when I was a teen). I wanted them to know how it’s been to walk out forgiveness, even when there isn’t change or repentance on the other side of the relationship. I know from the feedback of the teens and leaders that many teens were really touched by my testimony and it helped them with their own challenging life experiences. If there is one bright side to any of this, it is to see God take some of my own story of brokenness and pain, and use it to bring freedom to others who need it. That is the heart of ministry.
Sharing some the comments from the teens post-camp, Joel writes, “Even now as I re-read these powerful, touching words from our youth, I want to thank you for all your prayers for our camp. The fruit that we see in camp after camp, year after year, has much to do with your faithful prayers and financial gifts on behalf of these young people. Truly, we couldn’t do any of it without you!”

HOPE: House of Prayer & Exploits in Nazareth is led by a Christian Arab prophetic intercessor named Rania Sayegh. She is very much a “one new man” Christian Arab ministering to Christian Arab women in Israel and also in other nations in the Middle East. She is also in relationship with her Israeli Messianic Jewish ministry counterparts who hold a high regard for her and the Arab Deborah’s Arising conferences she holds. This month Rania is sharing a VISION of the Crown and the Royal Arab Kingdomsa vision received in Dubai of the seven royal Arab kingdoms and their role in His end-time purposes. As you read, will you join us in asking the Lord to align these nations with His heart and release His light across the region?” Also: Middle East War Update | Prayer Points: 2025 Key Areas of Intercession for HOPE, Israel & the Middle East…. At HOPE, our vision is simple yet urgent: to raise an altar of worship in Nazareth that will echo across the Middle East and the nations. Every prayer watch, every worship set, every song declares Jesus is worthy—and in this season, God is calling us to amplify that sound. Here’s how we’re building right now:

Chaim Malespin, Aliyah Return Center & The Faithful Galileans writes of the skeletal hostage who was being forced to dig his own grave by Hamas terrorists and sends this VIDEO I sat down with Evytar’s cousin. “In this raw conversation, Matan shares: What daily life is like for hostage families and Why media attention and public pressure matter.”
     Chaim also writes about “
Truth in an Age of Propagnada | VIDEO: The $500M Cyber Empire You've Never Head Of | While there has been a physical war, there has also been a cyberwar raging. “It has always been a wonder to me why so many people are jumping on the bandwagon of pro-Hamas propaganda when information is literally available at the click of a button on their phones. Anyone can look up what Zionism actually means, or what is meant by the phrase “from the river to the sea,” and so on…. In a New York Times post, it said that Cyabra believes that one in four (26%) of all social media profiles engaged in discussions about the conflict were fake. And allegedly, Iran, Russia, China, and their proxies all participated in these coordinated campaigns, which helped amplify Hamas’ narratives, while undermining Israel. And clearly duping the West, especially the younger generation…. Also, in the video above, I sat down with someone who has been fighting the cyber war, whether against hackers or disinformation. His team has been working very hard to combat the online scene to the best of their abilities. They themselves have been warriors. So with all that said, I pray that we would all be able to discern God’s will in all matters. And in that, the truth will set us free!

Stefan Silver for Out of Zion ministries in the Mt Carmel area also writes about how many are “Caught in Deception” even as Yeshua warned us,
“Watch out that no one deceives you.” Stefan writes, “We now live in a golden age of deception - where fake news, media manipulation and political spin dominate daily headlines. Jesus’ warning is not just for a distant future - it is urgent for believers today, especially regarding Israel, the land and people God is restoring as a prerequisite for His second coming.
Recent examples are everywhere: Two weeks ago, we addressed the “Gaza starvation” narrative that swept the globe. Images of skeletal toddlers were plastered across front pages, accusing Israel of “genocidal starvation.” In truth, the children shown were born with severe chronic conditions, some genetic. Food, water and medicine shortages in Gaza are largely caused by Hamas stealing supplies and reselling them to their own people at exorbitant prices. Even after the outlets responsible retracted their reports, countless people -including believers - clung to the lie. Watch that no one deceives you.
Meanwhile, with the war in Gaza grinding on and “day after” negotiations stalling, world leaders are pushing the latest delusion - that creating a Palestinian state will somehow bring peace, ending the war and suffering all around…. recognizing a Palestinian state now is a grave mistake. It is a reward for terror that will not solve the conflict or the underlying issues, it will only complicate and make it worse.”
Here are Stefan’s wise words: "Deception thrives when God’s people stop discerning and remain silent". For weekly updates that include news alerts and prayer points,

From Kobi & Shani Fergus for Maoz Ministries Israel, “
As we march into the 2nd half of the year, we wanted to let you know we have been very busy with all of the things the Lord is calling us to do…. We’ve been seeing the Lord’s hand in such incredible ways lately. As we work to bring aid and comfort to those affected by both the war with Hamas and the recent 12-day war with Iran, doors are opening like never before. For the first time, many Jewish people are open to hearing about Yeshua and His love for His people. They’re discovering that there are millions of Christians around the world not only praying for them but also providing practical help—resources that are making it possible for so many that are finding themselves having to rebuild their lives.  This is happening because of the support YOU send in faithfully…. Would you prayerfully consider how you can help us bless Israelis? This could mean starting a monthly gift, increasing your current support, or giving toward a specific project that’s close to your heart.

The monthly letter from Dan & Patty Juster and Ben and Lorena Juster is pretty jam-packed with all they are doing and preparing to do – including prep for
the High Holiday season. The just finished up with the Tikkun America Conference and are preparing for a partnerwhip with Gateways Beyond (Matt Rudolph) to facilitate a missions and ministry trip to Ethiopia, followed by an optional 5 day trip to Israel. All of you are invited! April 30-May 9 for the Ethiopia trip and May 9-14 for the optional Israel portion. Space will be limited, so sign up as soon as possible once the registration is available. Ben also writes an appeal on behalf of the 4 Justers because “our funds in the ministry account that supports Dan, Patty, Lorena and myself dipped below the threshold we need to maintain to cover ongoing trips and living expenses. When we travel, we typically do not receive reimbursements for travel, so the donations are crucial for this work.”
Dan Juster writes that he is most focused right now on the “Jerusalem Bible Institute as we recruit full time students for our second year, incorporate a part time program, and pray and communicate to meet the financial challenges for the school. Your support enables my involvement at no cost to the school. I still also am part of the core eldership team in our local congregation. Raising up more leaders is my primary burden plus more of the power of God in sharing the Good News.

While Patty shares about a prophetic word that deeply impacted here years ago when “
someone wrote a song for me that deeply impacted me. It was more of a prophetic word set to music and told of a time when I would see the beauty of the bride.” I’m hoping someone will post this somewhere so I can send you all a link, but if the Lord prompts you, write to Ben at Restoration from Zion and ask to be sent this August 2025 letter he sent out, or subscribe!
They could use support for the truly FOUNDATIONAL types of ministry activities they are carrying out for Messianic Jewish believers in Israel, America and the nations. This is done without great fanfare, so the need for supporters to be alert to their needs is great. To support them

Reuven Doron sent a beautiful YoutTube worship song Aug 12th but what he said about it was the thing that really knocked me out! “An ancient Jewish Prayer-Song was sung during an “awakening concert” as secular Israelis respond to God’s presence. This is the harvest you are praying for. Israel has entered a “Pre-Revival Revival” | This ancient Jewish prayer-song, “Ana Ve’Koach,” was written roughly 1,000 years ago by a Jewish poet….We pray this prayer-song is a blessing to your heart as you behold Israel’s true worship at the early stages of the national revival that is unfolding here. This is the cry of the remnant of Israel who are coming through the fire of this season. Thank you for partnering with God and with us for the fulfilment of this miracle.”
We’ve been telling you for a while that this was happening, but it is happening more and more, and throughout the ministries in Israel we feature in this report, more of them are reporting the same. This is real time “all Israel shall be saved.” Follow Reuven’s posts on Facebook

Awake Israel Ministries, Shlomy and Miriam Abramov in Rishon le Zion write, “
This week alone we got the Gospel out many times with dozens of materials and opportunities. God is doing a new thing will you not be aware of it? A woman with a child we engaged for free diapers bought me a rose to say thank you!! That was a first! She was so grateful. Also in one week, we have added 3 new families to our list to help with humanitarian aid. I think there will be even more to come as the war heats up again too.
We got an invitation to a January Day of Prayer event with President Trump at Mar-A-Lago! If you would like to sponsor us please tell me, otherwise we cannot afford it. We would love to go representing the body of the Lord in Israel. It is so nice just to have been invited however, I am thrilled by the invitation and Shlomy would love to attend too. God only knows what is in store for Israel in January so far down the line but it would be a wonderful opportunity to connect with Christians dedicated to supporting the most pro-Israel American president ever.

We have also been invited to campus again to share with the University of Nevada. Pray it goes very well, many on American campuses hate Israel but sharing the gospel anywhere and everywhere is our gift. So we accepted. Although we are specifically called to Israel, we shall go forth in faith and we are glad to be invited.

The Ministry team at Tiferet Yeshua writes, “Israeli Society is in turmoil and divided. Our society’s divides and internal struggles are intensifying, and frankly, as followers of Messiah Yeshua, we are not sure how people who do not believe in God and are not aware of His promises for Israel are surviving this emotionally and physically….Israelis have been watching in horror all summer as expressions of extreme antisemitism are rising across Europe, Australia and the Americas fueled by Islamic anti-Israel and anti-Jewish propaganda. The most shocking and saddening for us is the fact that classic antisemitism, a kind that harkens back to Europe’s dark days of religious blood libel and Nazi propaganda, is being expressed freely and openly especially among the younger generations and even professing Christians….Yeshua said we should discern the signs of the times…. it feels urgent to focus our prayers on petitioning the Lord to shine His eternal truth and break the barriers of darkness which the enemy is so cunningly erecting in the hearts and minds of many.
During the summer and fall months, Tiferet Yeshua has a monthly “Gospel Grill” outreach on the Tel Aviv promenade…. This year, Moti had an idea to expand this outreach and make it a congregational “happening” so that families and those not usually involved in street outreach would have an opportunity to fellowship outside our Friday services – which has been a challenge with the ongoing war. The event is mainly outreach-oriented, but we added teaching for those who are interested and activities for children…. We know that sowing the seeds of the Gospel will bring in a harvest for the Kingdom of God, and we feel the urgency of showing our people the way, the truth, and the life in Yeshua. We are also encouraged to see more involvement from the congregation…. Please pray with us for these outreaches and for every Israeli who had the opportunity to hear the good news to come to faith!
The war and overall internal struggles in Israel have brought financial stress on many believers, including those at Tiferet Yeshua. Life in Israel has never been easy, but the challenges have been growing significantly since October 7, 2023. Yet, when we receive requests for prayer and financial aid (we have a special fund dedicated to this purpose), we see that in the midst of trouble, members of Tiferet Yeshua are steadfast and growing in faith and love towards the Lord. All these praise reports and all we do here at Tiferet Yeshua are only possible with the blessing of the Lord and support of partners and prayer warriors like you!  Thank you for standing with us. We bless you from Israel

Arrows 2025 Aug 15 The Prayer Assignment Against Terrorism is Spiritual!

 The Prayer Assignment
Against Terrorism is Spiritual!

by Donna Diorio
Reviewing the 24th Anniversary of the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries

I am sitting here contemplating what to say about the 24th year of producing the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests from Israeli Ministries. Three and half years later I launched Arrows from Zion in 2005 after my second trip to Israel.
Wanting to get this right, I searched my Word files trying to find the first summary I put together for a super small team of intercessors at a Messianic synagogue. My first six months of issues are mysteriously missing from my files, but I did find many memory refreshers from 2002.
The first Israel Prayer meeting was on Thursday, August 21, 2001. We were to pray exclusively for the believer citizen Israeli ministries. It was often a struggle to keep intercessors on that narrow focus because people want to pray for other things. My goal was to be a support to those in Israel who were sharing the Gospel among their people.
There were probably only 4 or 5 of us present for the first meeting and for a long while afterwards. Even though we had fluctuations of people attending off and on, we never drew more than 8 to 10 praying for Israeli ministries. It was quite disheartening to me that even in a Messianic congregation this was true. It made me wonder how in the world I could ever expect Christians to be drawn to pray for the Israeli ministries if so few in a Messianic synagogue would. We have to develop perseverance to stand for the salvation of    all Israel which is coming through the body of Messiah in Israel.
     Then
a few short weeks after our first meeting al Qaeda attacked the United States. God had already focused my eyes on Islamist terrorism before 1993, but in February '93 I read the FBI admission that they knew Hamas was fund raising in the USA. Pivotal information for me, I began to pay even more attention. I knew what it meant that we (the U.S.) were sowing in allowing Hamas to fund raise: it meant we would reap as we what we been sowing against Israel: Terrorism.

When the day of terrorist horror hit the Twin Towers in New York it had only been a month that our group had begun to pray for the Israeli ministries. We were already hearing many testimonies of believers being spared close calls with suicide attackers and it would continue over the next months.
I believe it was Wayne Hilsden (Fellowship of Israel Related Ministries) and his wife who out walking enjoying an anniversary when one block away suicide bombers blew up a packed disco in Tel Aviv. Reuven Doron, I believe it was reported his wife was also within a block of a bus suicide bombing. And there was a young believing student riding a bus who suddenly had a blinding migraine that forced him to depart the bus one block before another bomb detonated on that bus. Prayer to counter the terrorism was part of our Israel Prayer DNA from the beginning. It still is.
Before the 9/11 terror attack I was working for Zola Levitt Ministries in Dallas. Zola and I gave much effort in the Spring and Summer of 2001 trying to get the Dallas Morning News not to cop-out with political correctness because they were being intimidated over a reporter’s coverage of the Holy Land Foundation.  The Council on American- Islamic Relations (CAIR) had been stirring local Islamist protests against DMN’s reporter poking around in their business. Both of the groups were well documented Hamas fronts but it was an exercise in futility for Zola and myself. The newspaper did not heed our appeals and went full tilt into covering for Islamism in America, as did all the news media in the months to follow 9/11.
Zola had drawn me in to his discussions with the paper’s editors after discovering I knew a bit about Israel’s terrorists enemies. I appreciated getting to do something more substantial and in line with my writing and researching abilities. Maybe that is why God led me to pay attention to the Islamist terrorist groups that plagued Israel. Truthfully, I always felt out of step with other believers because of my interest in Islamist terrorism. It was not a “spiritual” interest per se, but as I sit here today I have no doubt God stirred my interest. After all God had stirred an interest in the Jewish people even before I returned to my childhood faith in 1983.
As for the HLF “charity,” it turns out that after 9/11 President Bush would finally give the long needed approval to shut down the Holy Land Foundation and bring charges against their leaders. But it was not until 2007 before they would stand trial in the federal court in Dallas. Then the details of evidence the U.S. had on what Hamas affiliates were doing even prior to 1993 came tumbling out in the court room.
Back to our little Israel Prayer meetings on Thursday nights, on 9/11/2001 Israel was still in the grip of the Second Intifada (9/28/2000 through 2/8/2005). Suicide attacks were happening frequently throughout that time but when 9/11 targeted the US, an outpouring of horror and sympathy was poured out to the US from all over the world. The downside of that is that this is empathy is normal when Western nations experience big Islamist terror attacks, but when Israel is the target they don’t get empathy they get blame. I have been around long enough to see it repeatedly.
Another downside is how quickly Western nations revert back to P.C. coddling of Islamists with their resolve to beat the terrorists evaporating quickly. Politicians and citizens reverting back to the “religious freedom” defense of Islamists.
By the way, it is not so hard to determine the Muslims who hold radical dominionist views from those that would much rather live in a peaceful democracy. Accepting all of Islam is a suicide pact we do not have to make to grant non-violent Muslims to live among us. The majority pouring into the West though are radical Islamists.
Months after 9/11, Israel made a decision to launch Operation Defensive Shield on 3/29/2002 after a suicide bombing in Netanya resulted in 30 Israeli causalities. Systematically the IDF entered into Palestinian towns known to harbor much terrorist activity. They went city by city taking out bomb-making facilities, weapons storages, and cleaning out terrorist nests.
In every one of those cities they also freed Christian Arabs being held, tortured and some murdered in Palestinian jails. The operation lasted until May 2002. And our Israel Prayer group were able to pray for the IDF and for the Christian Arabs held and tortured in Palestinian territory jails – even to the last city of the operation when a Christian Arab named Saeed we had been praying for was freed by the IDF. One year later amazingly enough I met him at the Dugit Outreach Bookstore when we dropped into at Dugit on the spur of the moment.
Back during my time at Zola Levitt’s ministry I made contact with a Christian pastor who was greatly involved with Christian Arabs in northern Israel. He and his Jewish wife Leah supplied us with plenty to pray over in those first months of our first year of Israel Prayer. They were the ones that had us praying for Saeed.
Before starting Arrows from Zion, one of the faithful prayer group, D Barnae brought me a copy of   Facts & Myths About Messianic Congregations in Israel 1998-1999. This book made it possible for me to discover and research contact information for the Israeli Messianic ministries. The Caspari Center authors had compiled information from a study they conducted.
As they note about their book, "Controversy arose primarily from the fact that some people felt exposed by the publication of the book, as they would have preferred to have remained under the radar. There were other people, however, who found the detailed research helpful, and expressed gratitude for it."
I was one of those and I have shared the same experience myself. When I first emailed each ministry to ask permission to share excerpts from their prayer letters
to intercessors for Israel, one ministry head wrote me back demanding, “Who ARE you?! Don’t you know this is Israel?” Over time the ministry leader understood that I had no intention of exposing the Israeli ministries to the religious persecutors within Israel. We became friends by email and though he passed away many years ago, I will never forget how upset he was with me. That left a big impression on me to be on guard with the information I collected.
There have been a few stumbles on my part in the past 24 years when I have disclosed what I should not, but I have lived with an acute awareness of how highly motivated some who mean the Jewish believers in Jesus harm cannot have missed what I have been doing all these years. That’s why I have turned down many who wanted to subscribe to my list, but didn’t want to give me any information about themselves for security purposes. There were other requests that I just sensed I could not trust.
The flip side of that is I have also seen an increase of boldness among the ministry leadership too. As several have told me over the years, “We’re not hiding.” This is an indication of spiritual growth. We are not foolhardy but we are not hiding either. As Acts 17:28 says, “For in Him we live, and move, and have our being.”

Doing this ministry has never been as easy ride. Sometimes I questioned whether I should even be doing it because it has required a lot from me to do it right. I could not work to help support my family needs and do my two elists each week. My ministry has never fulfilled American Christian ‘wisdom’ that if a ministry was of God, it would fully support itself. Whenever I was in that doubt on that count, I would look at so many Israeli ministries struggling financially then I knew the American Church measure of a ministry was missing the truth by a mile. It is not how much financial support a ministry gets that makes it significant, it is whether they are doing what God sent them to do.
Every once in a while we have to pause and take stock. Anniversaries like this are a good time to do that. I am as convinced today as I ever was, that my part to play in these end times events is to continue to press in to provide Christians what really need to know about the Israeli Messianic Ministries and God’s purpose for them and for us in standing with them. Most think it is other things entirely.
And, there is key spiritual understanding that international Christians need to know about Islamist terrorism for their own safety that can only be learned among the Israeli Ministries, or those informed by them. This will continue to become a critical area of prayer intercession all over the world.
I have learned more in the past 24 years from reading the prayer letters of Israeli ministries than I think I could have learned anywhere else. It is not just news from one or two ministries, but an overview of about 50 Messianic Jewish or Christian Arab ministries all over Israel. That is a different view of all the things going on in Israeli ministries. Those who read the Weekly Summary and Arrows will learn a lot too.

Arrows from Zion
Summarized from the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests Israeli Ministries

Such a heartening testimony from Sergey, the Asst Dirctor of the Aviv Center in Tel Aviv! As they began their outreach to handout food and to bandage wounds on the streets “two young Israeli men approached us. They looked to be around 25 years old, dressed in army shirts marked with unit insignias – likely reservists called up for extended duty. Their posture, their gaze – everything about them showed seriousness and strength. These were the kind of young men often seen as part of Israel’s elite. They stopped in front of our team. “Can we speak with you?” one asked. “Of course. How can we help?" Then they said something that moved us deeply: “We live nearby. We see you out here almost every day. We see what you do for the people on the street. And… we just wanted to thank you.”
“We’re Christians,” someone from our team replied. “This is our ministry to God.”
They nodded. “We know. We’ve seen you pray, talk with people, clean their wounds. Sometimes we watch from our windows. And we want you to know – we really appreciate it.”
     “. . . .
what they saw touched their hearts – a glimpse of the love of Christ in action. In Israeli society, believers like us often face rejection, suspicion, even mockery. And yet these strong, confident young men came with words of kindness and gratitude. It felt like a glass of cold water in a dry and weary land. Please pray for these men, and for all the Israelis who see our outreach – that they would seek and find the One their hearts are longing for: the Messiah of Israel.” Partner with the Aviv Center

Howard Bass or the Beer Sheva congregation Nachalat Yeshua (Yeshua’s Inheritance) writes about he and Randi’s return from the US to the congregation operating smoothly in their absence, but also the continuing was of 22 months in Gaza. “This is certainly a daunting challenge for many Jewish people, including the believers in Yeshua among them. God is certainly making many, if not most, Jews around the world uncomfortable and insecure, lacking peace. The Jewish State of Israel [for especially Jewish people] has become a lightening rod, perhaps even a litmus test, for Jewish identity: as in Ps 137, Do Jews in the diaspora/dispersion/ galut/exile identify with the nation and the land and the city as being theirs, or do they identify more with being citizens of whatever Gentile country that they live in? Even for Jews living in Israel, do they remain because they know that it is home, or do they wish that they could leave, as many already have? I spoke with some Jewish friends back in Richmond, and some Gentile Christians, as well, who are very nervous about supporting Israel these days.

Our "world view" about the "end of the world as we know it" will greatly affect our position regarding Israel and the Jewish people. . . .
If Christians think that people just live their lives, and then go either to Heaven or to Hell, then they have no vested interest in God's covenant promises to Abraham, to Isaac, to Jacob, and to their physical descendants. If Jewish people give up faith and identity in the significance of Israel as a nation to them, then they will much more easily want to "please the Romans/the Americans", so that the whole nation might not be left all alone to be left all alone to be destroyed.  The Nazi spirit is reviving strongly in the jihad of Islam in all its grotesque forms, with the same stated intent gaining worldwide acceptability: kill all the Jews and the Jewish nation. This is the Devil's "heart". Not the Jews only, but also the Christians: both groups are YHVH's representatives in the world. And not content to stop there, jihadis are demonically driven to kill off as many human beings, even themselves. . . . All the antisemitism, all of the Christian massacres taking place in Nigeria, etc, are all spiritual assaults against the Creator Himself, and His Anointed One. The world is falling in line to take sides with the devil's murderous hatred and very bitter root against the sovereignty and goodness of the one true God.”
     . . . .
Meanwhile, our calling is to take the gospel of salvation and the Kingdom of God to whomsoever wherever, that as many as will can enter the family of God through spiritual new birth, just as we have; and, for us to sanctify ourselves in a world becoming more and more corrupted through lust -- whether for wealth, sex, or power -- or for all of them. . . . The rulers of this world are preparing for war all the time. Only the Prince of Peace -- the Lord Jesus Christ/Yeshua the Messiah, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, who is also the Lamb upon the Throne -- He alone will make wars to cease, and no one will teach or learn war anymore.  God have mercy on us all, that we will all endure in the faith and be overcomers/prevailers,”  Howard and Randi  (Happy birthday, Randi!)

Chaim Malespin asks on 8/8 8 Is Israel of the Bible the Israel of today? …. I have heard many churches and people online say that the Israel today is not the Israel from the Bible. Bible schools have even taught this. How is this possible?  . . . .Many churches today have disconnected Israel from the Word of God. And have disconnected many of the promises that God made to Israel, and exclusively applied them to themselves. And to hear countries, founded as Christian Western nations such as France, Canada, United Kingdom, Portugal, and others say that they plan to recognize a Palestinian state this September, is baffling! No terrorist organization, still holding innocent lives hostage, should have a state! . . . .God always preserves remains a Holy remnant. It took a small brave Gideon army to defeat our enemies. I also feel deeply for the Jewish communities around the world, and how things are becoming hostile in the nations for them. We believe that there is going to be a big wave of Aliyah after the war is over. Please keep us in your prayers.”
8/15 Chaim releases this exciting news: “
I’m writing a new book, Aliyah Warrior, straight from my own time on the frontlines of Israel’s 7-front war. These are the moments I lived, the friends I fought beside, the miracles I saw with my own eyes. I need your help to finish it and share it with the world. When you give toward this book, you’re helping me tell Israel’s story the way it really happened.

Support Chaim's Work DD: I was very excited a few weeks ago to see Chaim first tell about this book. As his daily videos have done, this book will continue to impact with the truth of the battle Israel is in, and how the international Christians are to stand beside them. Chaim is a warrior in every sense – in physical warfare, but FIRST as a minister of the Messiah in Israel. I am delighted he is stretching himself to this book. Pray for Chaim, his young family, his ministry and the warfare he faces from terrorists and the devils that oppose God’s intentions in Israel. Please consider supporting Chaim as he gives his all.

Josie Silver of Out of Zion ministries in Haifa writes to give an update on her husband David Silver, who after  the Hamas assault on Israelis 10/7/23 began to suffer mild symptoms of depression that gradually worsened, even with medication. David has MDD, Major Depressive Disorder and anxiety for 1 ½ years and entered the hospital in July for specialized treatment. Now home again, Josie reports that David is benefiting  from the right medical treatment and therapies, as well as re-establishing healthy routines at home.  She writes, “We are confident that in time David will return to the work he loves and the calling he has faithfully fulfilled for decades through Out of Zion Ministries. In the meantime, our eldest son Stefan and I are leading and administrating the ministry. The mission and message of Out of Zion Ministries have not paused.” In the meantime she and their son, Stefan, who is a pastor at the Kerem-El congregation are continuing the weekly prayer points and perspectives. stefan.m.silver@gmail.com  And, If you would like to send David a note of encouragement, please email me directly at josiesilver7@gmail.com.
DONNA: As you pray for David, please lift up prayers for an enormous amount of Israelis who are suffering from depression, anxieties and fears since the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel by Hamas and the wars on 7-fronts that Israel is facing. Even an alarming number of IDF soldiers and rescued hostages have committed suicide. The grief is at an all time high in Israel and only our King Yeshua has the peace Israelis long for.

Also needing special prayers we are RENEWING PRAYER FOR SHLOMY Abramove FOR GREAT PAIN FROM A SLIPPED DISK HE HAS BEEN SUFFERING FROM FOR QUITE A WHILE NOW. He was healed 15 years ago, but it has returned. Please pray for Shlomy because he continues to minister through the pain, and does not want surgery. Please remember to lift Shlomy before the LORD for complete healing.

Ronit Bender in the Carmel Congregation writes about spiritually pouring out to the people in her community as she goes about her normal shopping, trips to the salon and health club and local eateries and coffee shops. This is her mission field – she goes out making friends and pouring spiritually into the people she makes friends with. Many come to the Messiah in faith and others have seeds planted that she can see are growing. One example Ronit writes about, “It's been almost a year since I started at the gym. It was a gift to me and I resisted it with many words - But GOD wanted to use it for His glory. Yesterday a man came to tell me that I bring much color and joy to the club, when a lot of people are so sad because of the situation both with the hostages, the war. Put simply: it is tough living here. I have never spoken to this young man before and was very touched by his comment. It is an answer to my daily prayer to bring love, light and joy wherever I go. Bless His Holy name! The needy aren't only in the streets. Lift up your eyes, the fields are before you!”
“This coming year is so special for me. On September 24th I will be 75, and on October 9th it will be 20 years since Tom and I arrived at this mission field. I still remember driving my little car behind Tom's to our son's home with tears running down my cheeks, I barely could see the road. We left the two cars there to give to others in need. I was 55 then, Tom was 61, and we headed to this mission field. The rest is history. . . .
As anti-Semitism rises and deception in the world increases, God is turning Israel to seek HIm, and YOU and I are labouring in this field together by your prayers and support. I can't thank you enough for walking by my side as we point others toward our eternal Home. Love from Mount Carmel”

Lastly, from Reuven Doron he takes on the “To the Jew First” verses which Reuven points out are for both the good and the bad – it’s to the Jew first. Then he connects the dots of that straight to “To the Jew First” is a biblical pattern that is meant, among other things, to serve as an early warning of upcoming events for those who have eyes to see, ears to hear, and hearts to understand.” When Paul wrote in 1 Cor 10 that the things recorded in the Hebrew scriptures about the Jews were to be “as ), and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.” (I-Corinthians 10). This same principle is still valid today, and possibly more than ever, as our generation is closer yet to the time when “the ends of the ages have come.”
“It is important for the intercessors to realize that Israel’s present struggle, warfare, and increasing global isolation are an example, a pattern for God’s elect all over the world. In her painful preparations for the FINAL REVIVAL that will usher in the return of the Lord, Israel is serving the world, one last time, as a forerunner in the birthing of God’s Kin.”
     “As noted
my video of November 2024, we pray that the Word of God, His eternal promises for all His children, will “become flesh” and transform all of us, “to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”
