2025 Jun 27 Arrows: A Prophetic Threshold

A PROPHETIC THRESHOLD
when the world shakes, we stand together
by Israel & Sason Pochtar

“You will hear of wars and rumors of wars… See that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.” Matthew 24:6
      We’re reaching out to
you this week with heavy yet hopeful hearts. Something has shifted in a significant way—both in the natural and in the spiritual.
A few days ago the U.S. carried out direct strikes on major Iranian nuclear sites. While it may look like just another breaking news story, we believe it’s much more than that. This is a moment we’ve sensed cominga prophetic threshold that’s now unfolding right in front of our eyes. It’s not just about politics or military action. It is part of a bigger spiritual shaking that’s touching the nations—and it’s calling God’s people to attention.
The Storm Has Been Building | Iran’s threats to wipe out Israel aren’t new. Over the years, they’ve funneled weapons, money, and hatred through terror groups like Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis. Last night’s strike wasn’t just a military move—it sent a loud and clear message to both the world and the spiritual realm: enough is enough.
This brings the region closer to the edge of a larger war, with Israel right in the center of it all.
But for those of us who’ve been watching and praying, this isn’t a surprise. The Bible has spoken about days like these. In Ezekiel 38, we read of nations aligning against Israel—nations from the north, like modern-day Iran, Russia, and Syria. And Yeshua warned us clearly: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom… All these are the beginning of birth pains.” Matthew 24:7–8
So what we’re seeing isn’t just chaos—it’s part of God’s plan being revealed. It’s a wake-up call. For Israel. For the nations. For the global Body of Messiah. The time to stand on the wall and intercede is now...WATCH this great video The Prophetic Threshold with Beit Hallel youth pastor Sason Pochtar. Straight talk with great encouragment.

DONNA: I was so struck by Pochtar’s term “prophetic threshold” because it was also the exact right term for what just happened when Trump ordered the absolute destruction of Iran’s nuclear capabilities. Of course there is great spiritual warfare chaos this morning as I have started putting the Weekly Summary into focus. The development of remarks from Trump about Israel and Iran who have been fighting for so long they no longer know what they are doing. That is patently false; Trump lost his temper on the way to fly out to the NATO military summit. He wanted to go in with clout about his action of nuking Iran’s nuclear facilities. A ceasefire that is not working would not give him any clout. I believe the demonic backlash hit Trump and Netanyahu also. Chaos & tempers flared everywhere!
I said all that only to set scene for the biblical meaning of a spiritual threshold. It means a mighty shift in the dynamic for God’s people but it does not mean all is smooth sailing stepping over the threshold.
A few biblical examples of spiritual thresholds are Moses and the Children of Israel standing at the water’s edge when God parted the Red Sea. (Exodus 12) They still had to muster the courage to begin walking in the corridor made by the parted waters. Egypt’s chariots were pushing hard after them, so the decision to trust GOD had to be made in under great pressure and unbelievable things they had never seen before but had to believe to survive. Who could fathom the Red Sea parting before them? The people of God stepped into the breach trusting God to keep them safe. Pharaoh’s armies pursued in a mad rage. It did not even cause the Egyptians pause to consider the miracle God did for the Israelis, to make the waters part. If they could see that miracle, they would have chosen to stop considering what it meant. It meant that God was helping Israel. Instead when all the Israelis were safe from destruction, God cased the waters to close up on the enemies chasing them.
Joshua 3 is another prophetic threshold.  Joshua is leading them to cross the Jordan and God repeats the Red Sea miracle he performed forty years earlier. For one thing it was to show that it wasn’t Moses who made the waters part, it was God. Also because what happened 40 years earlier to another generation of the people of Israel, God was marking the transition from the wilderness wanderings to the conquest of the Promised Land."
In this I see a mighty transition message to the body of Messiah in Israel and it is the same as Joshua 3:5-7: Joshua told the people to, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.” Then “the Lord said to Joshua, “Today I will begin to exalt you in the eyes of all Israel, so they may know that I am with you as I was with Moses. Tell the priests who carry the ark of the covenant: ‘When you reach the edge of the Jordan’s waters, go and stand in the river.’”
In Joshua 4:14 after carrying out God’s instructions to them, it is written, “On that day the LORD exalted Joshua (Yeshua) in the sight of all Israel, and they revered him all the days of his life, just as they had revered Moses.  Later in Joshua 4:23-24 “For the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan before you until you had crossed over, just as He did to the Red Sea, which He dried up before us until we had crossed over. He did this so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the LORD is mighty, and so that you may always fear the LORD your God.”
The body of Messiah in Israel is in a similar moment of crossing the Jordan where God is going to show you He is with you – expressing that in your crossover to greater harvest yields. You are the priests who carry the Ark of the Covenant standing in the river of life so that your people might crossover into their Promised Land. Yeshua will be exalted in the sight of all Israel, and they will revere Him all the days of their lives, just as they revered, Moses.
The death and resurrection of Yeshua was also a spiritual threshold. He entered it in faith for all of us Jew and Gentile alike. The aftermath was chaotic for the believers, until He appeared to them and brought them back around to focus on what God was doing, not what the enemies were doing.
These are the things we speak to ourselves and each other to build up our own courage in perilous times. The decimation of Iran’s nuclear capacity was a great, miraculous threshold event. But we cannot not let continuing chaos around us and in the world make us lose sight of the strong message God has sent to all of us: No man can save Israel or us from the things already in motion in the world – not Trump, not Netanyahu. I believe they are God-appointed leaders, but as Yeshua said, and Sasoon quoted above, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom… All these are the beginning of birth pains.”  Matthew 24:7–8 The birth pangs of the spiritual restoration of “all Israel.”
Continuing chaos and shaking of the world is not the sign God wants our eyes fixed on, but rather He wants us to go forward in His strength knowing the harvest is ripe for gathering. Amen.

Arrows from Zion
Summarized from the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests Israeli Ministries

Israel Pochtar continues by writing on another day, “A fragile ceasefire was announced overnight between Israel and Iran—and for the first time in a while, there’s quiet in our skies. But for so many across Israel, the real battle isn’t over…. brokenness, fear, and uncertainty are still here. Families are still shaken. Homes are still damaged. People are still trying to figure out what comes next. That’s why we’re not stopping...WATCH NOW | He also wrote:  "Just One Rocket" | This week, our team stood in Bat Yam, at the very spot where a missile fell just days ago. The destruction was staggering—an entire apartment building torn in half by a single rocket. The explosion didn’t just punch a hole in the skyline—it shattered lives. . . . But this isn’t just about broken buildings. This is about broken hearts. This is about people...." WATCH   | And again on another day: But God is our Wall of Fire | The danger is real. And yet—God is moving in the midst of the storm.

My friend, Eitan Shishkoff, founder of Fields of Wheat, writes a heartfelt message about what has been going on during the Iranian missile attacks on Israel. For one thing Connie and Eitan’s adult children insisted they move out of their “oldish, bomb shelter-less apartment” and move into the home of their son’s family residence in the country. Their new bedroom is also the home’s safe house where 8 of them piled in morning, noon & night when sirens announced incoming. The real marvel for Eitan was learning that “Mossad agents imbedded there for years” and “A drone factory (was) built and activated by Israelis near Tehran.” Also  Israeli “Fighter pilots traveling at supersonic speeds for two hours to arrive at their specific, hi-tech designated targets—and return unscathed. Unheard of.” Indeed. The Israelis always knew at some point they would have to limit Iran’s ability to carry out its mission to wipe them out and they wisely planned for it.
Eitan compares the 2025 Iran war with ancient conflicts like the story told in Esther, calling it “War on a biblical scale.” It was that for those with eyes to see and plenty don’t! But as he wrote, “Beloved, I believe we are watching and walking through the prelude to the climax of history. Ezekiel names the principal players in this drama in his 38th chapter, one of which is Persia (modern day Iran). This is exciting, amazing, prophetic, and even thrilling. But it is also disruptive and tragic for those whose homes and lives are being destroyed right here in our familiar places: Tel Aviv, Haifa, Jerusalem, Herziliyah, Petach Tikvah, Bat Yam, Rehovot, Tamra, and the oil refinery near our home.. . . Along with many other Israelis, we were preparing to go abroad this week. Flights cancelled. Plans annulled. Life on hold. Yet this inconvenience doesn’t hold a candle to the fact that our family members and literally hundreds of thousands of Israelis are putting their lives on the line daily.”
I would encourage you to write and ask for this June 20th letter to be sent to you. Eitan goes on to speak of how we are all being stretched beyond our comfort zone. “…it helps greatly to look to the “heroes” of the Bible. Fact is, I can’t think of a single one who was not stretched to the limit in following God’s path for their life…. As we are being stretched together, may the purposes of God be born in your life. And may we see our modest efforts to equip the youth and young adults of Israel fulfill the harvest that is even now beginning. With love and awareness that you and I have been called to the Kingdom for such a time as this.” Eitan listed many great prayer points but I will leave you with these 2: “That the Holy Spirit is poured out on Iran, Israel, Gaza and the entire Middle East, revealing Yeshua as the world’s only hope for peace, leading millions to repentance and redemption | That nothing will prevent our Summer Youth Camp from taking place, July 26-31.

Chaim Malespin for The Faithful Galileans writes, “Missiles almost hit our headquarters in Kibbutz Beit Zera, missed by a few meters, but our teams are going strong, with much kingdom resolve. Vertical Galilee House Of Prayer is never going to shut its doors, this is the time to shine, when the darkness is so thick…The sound of rockets has become our daily soundtrack all throughout the land of Israel. But in the midst of chaos, something beautiful is happening—and I need to share it with you. This morning, as sirens rang across the Galilee, we remembered that God is our Shepherd…. When we remember that God is our Shepherd, we're not just victims—we become shepherds with a mission. This is not a drill. War has broken out, and the needs have exploded beyond anything we've seen before. Families are fleeing. Children are traumatized. Entire communities are without basic support. But here's what moves my heart: We have the tools to help—if you'll provide them…. Right now, we're opening another building to house volunteers from every nation who are coming to serve Israel. These modern-day Good Samaritans need, supplies, and equipment to do what God has called them to do. Your urgent gift today provides the equipment and essentials to distribute that we need….WATCH Victory for Israel: A United Cry - The Time to Act Is NOW!  || If You Can't Join Us—Send Us Tools.

Carolyn Hyde of Heart of G-d Ministries recorded a song the God spoke to her to release in a time of war. This is it: The Lord is my Shepherd. In the midst of war, they are still out meeting people. In a ministry time with their sons’ Tree of Life Ministries, Carolyn writes, ““But why?!” he asked to which I responded with my testimony. When Richard opened Isaiah 53 and asked him to read it, halfway through the chapter, he exclaimed, “If this is about Yeshua; this makes total sense!” So even though missiles were flying and sirens were blaring, it was a beautiful evening.      There is a time for everything. Although we're deeply saddened by the tragic loss of lives and property here, our best revenge is to live and love! So we rejoice over the engagement of our youngest daughter to a young man whom we've come to love and treasure! | Please pray for the people of Iran as they cheer on IDF fighter pilots from their rooftops in Tehran! Signs and wonders abound during this war, such as the direct hit on the Soroko Hospital surgical ward that had been evacuated the night before! May Adonai break the bow of Elam, crushing the evil Iranian regime and setting His throne in Elam, as He promised in Jeremiah 49:35-39!

Ronit Bender, who is a widow and also lives in a building with no safe-room or bunker to run to, says she resides “under the shadow of His wings, trusting in the Almighty.  Psalms 91, 46, and 121 are more than Psalms for me, it is where I abide! God is using this war with Iran to turn the situation around, not just for Israel but for the whole world.” Ronit writes, “Nothing is really normal here, that is why we need your support, prayers and love. I have such deep gratitude to you.” Again, in her prayer list, Ronit remembers the people in Iran – those who are believers and those who will become believers, for God’s protection for them. Also for the remaining captives in Gaza & for Israelis to find Yeshua - the only hope we have - and to get saved!
The lady she was introduced to who is a wound specialist and recognized immediately what was wrong with her toe that has give pain for years, got a “quick answer” to prayers for her son in a deep depression after telling Ronit, and Ronit sharing the prayer request with her ministry partners. She says the mother was “dumbfounded” by the change in her son and she realized that it was the day after Ronit sent her last prayer letter out that her son had come out of his room. “He announced that he wants to go and study, and his eyes shone with excitement!” Please keep praying for S and her son M and the rest of the family to get saved and also the young and wounded people this one treats after they are released from the hospital. For all the people Ronit has been pouring Yeshua’s love out to!

Rachel Netanel (the real “hostess with the moistest” because she serves hospitality and Yeshua!) writes, In spite of everything, we have been extremely busy with many Israelis coming to hear the Good News.” After a number of groups coming in succession, I became quite ill and had a lot of pain mostly in my hand. I suffered in agony for a few days and then I called out to the Lord and told Him that ‘I want to be a witness. I can’t bear this pain. Please, dear Lord heal me.’ After about five minutes, the pain completely left.” (I really appreciated what Rachel wrote about pain in her hand because the same thing just happened to me with seizing pain in my leg and foot! We have to remember we have been given authority to speak to these attempts to drag us down with sickness and pain.)
Rachel writes about three groups who were brought to her for a time of her husband’s Gilad’s great food and her testimony. One is a tour guide who often brings groups to visit, her son who brings people from his work and a friend who was a former politician. We are talking about fairly large groups that come – like 30 people, who are most often fed a delicious meal and are given the testimony of Yeshua that Rachel has as a former police woman, and also the granddaughter of a famous Rabbi (Elkabetz). Sometimes the people linger for as much as 7 hours! In the group brought by the tour guide, Rachel tells how the guide does not tell the tour group she is a Messianic Jew, so Rachel has begun to tell them as they enter the gate so they don’t feel obliged to enter her home. It is a home built into a cave in Ein Karem and it is next door to the keepers (Wakf) of the dome of the rock. It is a genuine landmark dwelling but the real draw is Rachel’s ability to communicate her faith in Yeshua to all kinds of Jews, including religious ones. One recent religious visitor at first saying she needed to repent, later exclaimed, “Wow, you really know your Bible!” God gives her ‘strategies’ with how to address especially the religious to break through to their curiosity. Rachel writes, “I can also help them to understand the times that we are living in and what the Bible tells us about what is to come. These are difficult times and people are looking for answers.  Praise God that He gives me His strategy for sharing with His people.” This is organic personal evangelism and Rachel’s heart desire is “to see many believers’ homes opened up and Israelis invited to hear the Truth.” She encourages us, “Beloved, please continue to pray for the people of Israel. They are going through a very difficult time. They are hurting and want hope…. This is the time to talk about Yeshua.” Rachel also asks prayers for her grandson “serving with the IDF in Gaza right now.” Bless Rachel & Gilad Netanel in their ministry (Checks can be made payable to Beit Netanel and mailed to: Beit Netanel c/o Rachel Netanel  |  P.O. Evan Thomas of Beit Asaph congregation in one of my favorite Israeli cities, Netanya, writes that no Iranian missiles hit this Mediterranean seaside city between Tel Aviv and Haifa. Evan wrote, “Brief checks of social media sites indicate how controversial Israel’s decision to attack Iran is…no surprises there! Israel’s military policies and decisions, both now and over the past nearly two years, are based in a world-view that dates back to the Holocaust: “Never again!” This leads to an existential mindset that makes Israel a formidable foe to anyone that threatens her.
Iran’s aspirations to lead the Moslem world by building nuclear weapons and the ability to deliver them via long-range ballistic missiles was inevitably going to ‘paint Israel into a corner.’ In addition, Iran under the Ayatollahs, has made no secret of its hatred of the “Zionist Occupiers,” and as such, has developed a network of deadly proxies including Hamas, Hezbollah and Yemen’s Houthis.
Israel’s intelligence network concluded that Iran was extremely close to creating weapons-grade nuclear material, a threat that has become intolerable. This intelligence is very plausible given the recent evidence of just how deeply our agencies have been operating within Iran itself. As outrageous as Israel’s attack on Iran is to a world that has been quick to condemn us for our actions in Gaza, political leaders in the US and Europe are quietly applauding us for doing what they themselves were afraid to do.” That is the truth too!
Spiritual parallels:  I very much relate to what a dear friend and colleague, Eitan Shishkoff, writes on the matter. (Picking up with Eitan's comparison to Esther and Mordechai's warfare with the Persian empire and his comparison to the stretching we are going through comparing to what a pregnant woman experiences. Shared above by Eitan.)

Howard Bass of Yeshua’s Inheritance in Beer Sheva reminds, "We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the evil one." (1 Jn 5:19)  We are caught up in a spiritual war between Satan and YHVH God -- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the Lord of Armies, and has all authority in heaven and on earth. His death and resurrection has won the eternal victory, and His glorious physical return will prove it to all who don't believe it without seeing. Let us remain steadfast in our faith and trust and love however and wherever the Lamb leads us. Help each and all of us, Lord!
Here is a wonderful interview on Fox News with a medical student from our congregation regarding his experience at Soroka and the missile attack.
This morning there was a deadly attack on Beer Sheva from Iran. As of this writing, it is reported that 4 were killed in the ballistic blast into their 7-story apartment building around 6:00am, and about 20 injured. The neighborhood where this occurred is across the city from us, but we heard the "hit" from our bomb shelter.
After we came out and turned on the news, we heard about the "cease-fire" that was brokered during the night. Once again, the enemy does what it does, and then asks for the attacked party to stop fighting back; and the decision-makers allow the aggressor to "call the shots" -- literally. And then they call victory, because they fired the last shot. We have seen this over and over again and again here in all of the wars and rounds of conflicts from every side, ever since the decisive victory of the Six-Day War in June, 1967.  Islamists always break cease-fire agreements once they are announced, just before it is supposed to begin, and after it has supposedly come into effect. Their father is a liar and a deceiver and a destroyer of lives and nations.”
There was a sense of relief that President Trump had acted to help Israel bring this war to a quicker end, and take a side with the best ally America has not only in the Middle East, but probably anywhere…. But now, this very flawed cease-fire "agreement" is putting Israel in a bind, especially after Iran has already broken it with a deadly attack all across the country this morning…. Simultaneously, God is calling Israel the nation, and Jewish people everywhere, to repentance unto salvation, as He is to everyone else, too. ...As the Apostle Paul writes to us, if our hope is only in this life, we are the most miserable people, because God has promised so much more, and He will bring true peace to this world when Jesus returns; we will not achieve that ourselves.”
Randi and Howard’s son, “Tal was released yesterday from his reserve duty. His commander had told him from the beginning that he would only call upon him if he really needed him during this latest period because he knows that Tal's law school studies are continuing and a major exam coming up.

Dov Bikas of the Aviv Ministry sends “a short video update – how Aviv Ministry has been continuing its work during these turbulent days. Thank you for your prayers!”

With their Tuesday (6/24) worship watch cancelled because of ceasefire-missiles continuing from Iran, and potentially their Thursday Rosh Chodesh meeting cancelled, the Carmel congregation sent out the online resources to read more about Rosh Chodesh and also scripture references for Rosh Chodesh. Tamuz, the fourth month on the biblical calendar, an appointed time for corporate worship and the blowing of shofars. There are numerous biblical references to this fourth month, some of them describing very painful times in ancient Israel. But one very significant passage is found in Ezekiel Chapter 1, where the prophet describes that “the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.” As we enter this new month — another new beginning — may the Lord grant us fresh vision to see Him, high and lifted up, “far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come” (Eph. 1:21).

Yariv Goldman, Hands of Mercy writes, “Your prayers and encouragement have meant so much. Due to the increasing danger posed by Iran’s regime—who openly and repeatedly threaten to "wipe Israel off the map"—Israel has had no choice but to take those words seriously and at face value. As Iran neared the point of no return in its nuclear capabilities, decisive action had to be taken to prevent an unthinkable catastrophe. Please remember that over 80% of the population of Iran are hoping and even praying their government, totalitarian and oppressive, will topple and be replaced by an open-border and open-minded, modern government that will allow freedom for women, freedom of conscience and religion, and a government who will choose peace. The actions of Israel have been welcomed with praise by millions of Iranians all over Iran, hoping this will tilt the balance and free their nation…. at the same time, we are sorrowful regarding every lost soul, as every life matters to our God, and we never rejoice in suffering, of any person, any city, or nation.
“Please, use the this downloadable PDF of 365 prayers for Israel, as a reminder, to pray for the nation of Israel and the nations around, using the WORD of GOD, and seek to be in sync with HIS divine will and purpose, whatever those will look like. His ways are better, HIS thoughts are deeper, HIS love is stronger.  A  special request from me, as a father: Keep my daughter in prayers, as she has once more been drafted to active service, and also my foster son, who has also once again been drafted for active service. — HOM team

Aleksy Raikhstadt, pastor of Beit Immanuel in the old port city of Jaffa, writes it succinctly: “Now, more than ever, we are called to be the hands and feet of Yeshua, to show His love in real, tangible ways. And with your help, we can be that visible expression of His love to the people of Israel. Through your support, we're able to bring practical support to families who have lost everything, giving them food, hygiene items, clothing, and other basic essentials. But even more than that, we can bring comfort, prayer, and the hope of the Messiah to people who desperately need to know they’re not forgotten.      Many are open. Many are broken…. We believe this is more than just humanitarian aid. It’s holy work.
Would you keep praying with us, for Israel, for our people, and for true peace from the Prince of Peace? And if the Lord puts it on your heart, please consider continuing to stand with us financially. GIVE on our website and look around to learn more about this old Jaffa Messianic congregation.

Reuven Doron writing from a Messianic moshav: “Yesterday we traveled up north to the town of Tamra in the Galilee to comfort and support an Arab family that suffered a great loss from a direct hit of one of those Iranian missiles. The mother of the family, her sister, and two of her daughters died instantly even though they took shelter in the safe-room. Body parts, furniture, and smashed walls were scattered in the street below as their three story beautiful home disintegrated as it absorbed the full power of the blast. We spent a long time comforting the surviving father, himself a famous and successful Arab Israeli lawyer, and then viewed the damaged neighborhood. He told me that while his whole world fell apart last week, he trusts God for His sovereign rule…. Embracing this weeping father and sharing heaven’s comfort for the broken hearted, we were both vividly aware that in this country, Jewish and Arab Muslims alike are standing as ONE in the face of the great evil that comes against Israel. “Comfort, yes, comfort My people! Says your God. Speak gently to Jerusalem, and cry out to her, that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned; for she has received from the LORD’s hand double for all her sins.” (Isaiah 40)
Thank you for upholding our people, our family, and our work in your prayers. This link offers tax-credited giving options.

Daniel and Shirya Yahav of Peniel Fellowship in Tiberias write that “Just one day prior to the breaking out of this war with Iran, without knowing what is coming, we finished as a fellowship three days of prayer and fasting, interceding for our nation, repenting for our sins as a nation, praying for Israel's salvation, for wisdom for our leaders, guidance for us as the light of Yeshua among our people and protection on us from our enemies. God is faithful and we put all our trust in Him. We also pray for the salvation of our enemies, and we wish for them to be released from the evil grip of Islam, to come to know the true God who gives life and not glorify death, as they are taught.”
They also heard (at a May fellowship gathering) the testimony of a Messianic pilot who had been flying on the morning of Oct 7 over one of the Kibbutzim around Gaza. “As he described the situation, it was a total chaos. Terrorists all over with uniforms looking as IDF soldiers, white pickup trucks driving on the roads. You could not tell from above, who was who. He was sent to help … and at some point was directed to their front gate. At the gate he saw a white pickup truck from which people where jumping in and out, but he was not sure who they were. He almost shot at them, but decided not to do so as he was not hundred percent sure if they were terrorists. Later he felt bad that maybe he had missed the opportunity to rescue the people in the Kibbutz from the terrorists. …after many months, that a comprehensive investigation was made by the army, that he found out that the white pickup truck that was at the gate at that time, belonged to the only emergency squad in that kibbutz. He was sooo glad to know that God had led him to take the right decision and thus prevented him from killing our own men in the midst of an impossible situation, lack of information and much chaos and uncertainty.”
Please keep praying for the Peniel school license, that God will open the way for the license to be granted.

Although I am Running out of space - the HaMaayan congregational June ministry letter is available at this Google Docs link. I will track back next week to include some of their points here.
