Reset to Creation Settings | Donna Diorio, November 16. 2024 | When I woke up this morning, laying there in bed my thoughts turned to God and I wanted to thank Him for this day ahead.

Almost immediately I began think about how God created us human beings - of course the Fall changed everything - but from the beginning He did not create us with a warring disposition. We were never meant to carry the stresses and strains of life, because life was not supposed to be filled with continual battering of that nature.

Our choices lead us into those places where we either draw the strength and peace from Him, or we live in a state of constant battlement - pain, hurt, stress. We go from tender-hearted to hard-hearted when we only draw strength from ourselves because God did not create human beings to be hard-hearted in order to protect themselves.

They say that hindsight is 20/20 and that is what I was getting this morning as I thought about all the battlements of my life, and those of my family and friends. I saw a picture of someone I know the other day, and it was of her when she was a very young girl. The phrase that came to my mind as I saw her picture was that she was a "tender-aged" girl.

We all start out tender-aged and depending on the family circumstances, we begin to learn that we have to develop "tough skin" to survive. Living like that hardens our heart. It may not turn us into monsters, but it will create the loss of our original design by our Creator, who Himself is tender-hearted and we were created in His likeness. God can also be tough - but it is unlike the toughness we human beings develop in self-protection because He is the Almighty God. He has no need to go further in the toughness than what is necessary to correct and set aright. We frail human beings go overboard with our toughness and what we think is merely self-preservation but in reality is over-kill.

Maybe what God is doing in the earth is a big mystery to you. He is not doing what He is doing so we can go to Heaven and play harps on fluffy white clouds all day. He is restoring us to our original design - tender-hearted, just, full of holy strength, desire and creativity. A people who live in eternity without stress, pain, and all the things that go with it.

When scripture says what eternity holds for us who come to Yeshua/Jesus this is what God is talking about - returning mankind to our original creation design.

It is Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more.

Amen. I am looking forward to that.
