Arrows July 11 2025

NOTICE: This entry of Arrows from Zion for July 11, 2025 is separated from the cover story that accompanied it in the subscription like, My Path to One New Man in Him | From Music Addict to Israel Advocate. Also, for some reason I have not yet figured out, suddenly I have not been able to publish photos  to this blog.

Arrows from Zion
Summarized from the Weekly Summary of Prayer Requests Israeli Ministries

I had no idea until late in this day, Thursday 7/10, what Asher Intrater had written in his article
Lion Arising & Soleimani’s Six-Pack. The Holy Spirit did and I’m sure this is why my cover story focus this week was about my own journey back to God and how the 1979 Iran Hostage Crisis played into that.
Asher also is writing with the 1979 conflict with Iran as the backdrop:
"For two years now in Israeli press conferences, Netanyahu has quoted from Balaam’s prophecy of Numbers 23:24 that one day Israel would be a people that would arise like a lion to take the prey. That expression has become the name of the IDF operation."  This is a MUST READ Click link above Lion Arising

As we approach the conclusion of the fast this Sunday, July 13, we are inspired to finish strong in our prayers and declarations. PS: We will resume our weekly lobal Broadcasts in August.

From Howard & Randi Bass of Yeshua’s Inheritance in Beer Sheva “Shalom from the US of A on the 4th of July! Randi and I are in Tulsa, OK, with our son, Evan, and daughter-in-law, Joyanna, and with her parents.  We can't remember the last time that we have been in the States for the Fourth.  We will go to Phoenix on Monday to be with our oldest, Tamar, and Ezra, who are expecting their first (and a boy) about that time. | Before we left Israel, I did another video about "the situation" here:  What's Going On?

A message from Joel Jelski, the Director of National Katzir Youth Ministry of the Fields of Wheat team. The July 26-31 Harvest Camp will focus on the question of What is Love? Based on “And You Shall Love - V’Ahavta.” Joel sent the whole Devotional 1 (out of 4) that they have written for this camp along Yeshua’s declaration that all the commandments are fulfilled on the basis of the first two commandments about love God and others : 1. With all your heart 2. With all your soul 3. With all your mind (or strength in Hebrew) 4. You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Joel’s prayer requests are for   1. The teens that have signed up to come to the camp - that they will come ready, with open hearts, and ready to encounter God in a real and meaningful way.  2. Our small group leaders that will be leading the teens through this process, praying and processing together with them everything that God will be speaking to them throughout the camp. Pray that they come ready to give, with full hearts, and that they would also encounter God as they serve the teens.  3. Protection over the physical place where they camp will take place, at the foothills of Mt. Hermon. Protection over all our activities - hikes, games, sports, kayaking in the Jordan river, volunteering with local farmers, and other activities we will be doing.  4. All the speakers who will be sharing messages throughout the camp, plus the worship leaders and musicians.
I want to say also that I am SO grateful that this year’s camps have been fully funded by so many people who deeply care about our Katzir (harvest) camps. This national ministry to young Israelis would not be possible without your generosity and partnership. We don’t take this for granted. Thank you for being a part of what God will be doing in the “V'Ahavta” camp!

You may have heard about the Hamas ambush of IDF: Chaim Malespin of Aliyah Return Center sends this VIDEO  I was in Gaza when there was ambush meters way!  | He writes on July 4th about being a dual passport citizen of the USA & Israel pointing to Truman being the first leaders to recognize Israel as a state in 1948. “Prophecy still continues to be fulfilled as Jewish People return home to the promised land even in times of war. It’s estimated that around 27,000 Jewish people have made Aliyah so far in 2025 — which is significant, especially considering that Israel is still at war with Iran and her proxies…. According to AP News, antisemitism has risen by 2,000% since October 7th. Many Jewish families in France and the UK are now seriously considering moving to Israel. The situation in the USA and Canada has also worsened. In the U.S., there have been an estimated 10,000 antisemitic incidents, including the tragic murder of three Jewish people simply because they were Jewish. In Canada, around 6,000 incidents have been reported…. All of this reminds us that we need to pray. Pray for those making Aliyah…. Another way you can help is by supporting new Jewish families, especially those struggling financially. We assist in many ways….as Aliyah continues to rise in the coming years. …      2,500 Israelis Lost Their Homes to Iranian Missiles. ARC is Ready to Help. Watch our Emergency Campaign VIDEO & GIVE

Much going on a Revive Israel, “In these days of ongoing conflict and uncertainty in Israel, we’re encouraged to see how God is still moving, opening doors for ministry, building up the Body, and refreshing those on the front lines of service. Here’s what’s been happening across our Revive Israel community:  The Yanai Family is currently in France connecting & refreshing | Tal Haroni, one of our core leaders, teaching at a special conference in France.| The Almeida Family just returned from a challenging ministry journey in Europe.| Neveen has been holding down the fort, caring for our home base, the farm, and the animals. | Here in Israel, after weeks of intense rocket attacks, there’s a growing sense of hope. …Amid it all, we keep our eyes on what truly matters, the Gospel, salvation in Yeshua, and the living hope we have in Him. Shabbat Shalom, The Revive Israel Community | To learn more and to Partner with Revive Israel

Guy Cohen who leads the Harvest of Asher in Acco writes about “Deeds of the Nicolaitans and Parashat Balac” –The doctrine of the Nicolaitans is essentially the spirit of Balaam repeated in the new covenant, leading Believers into compromise. The warning is clear, do not follow false teaching and do not let spiritual compromise take root. Yeshua calls His people to faithfulness, purity and to stand boldly in truth.”

July 9th
Sally Shiff of HaMaayan congregation was writing how nice it was not to be running to the bomb shelter in the middle of the night, the next day she writes, “The War is not over with the Houthies. Five am we were called to the bomb shelter once again from a ballistic missile attack. Thankfully all is well.” Her prayer points over the past several days were focused on the talks between Netanyahu and Trump going on in D.C.” Whatever shakes out, we know God is FOR Israel, not against her.
7/8 Sadly, 5 soldiers lost their lives last night in
a horrific battle in northern Gaza
     THIS IS SO GOOD!
A dear prayer partner friend was interviewed by all Israel news:
7/7 Twenty-one months (21) six hundred and forty days  (640) since then...More than 1,200 Israelis were killed on October 7. Over 240 hostages were taken into Gaza and continues unabated against Israeli civilians, with the launching of more than 12,000 rockets. Fifty hostages remain still in Gaza    Israel’s Silent Heroes: The Ones Who Stopped Iran’s Missiles | KAN 11" (side note, my cousin is one of these silent heros)
She also sends this great quote from "US ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee: “I leave tomorrow for DC to be part of the WH meetings with POTUS and PM. Pray that an EFFECTIVE end to hostages being held and the war in Gaza will happen. Not something that will leave Hamas in power or give them a victory; Pray that the partnership between US and Israel will be strengthened; Pray for the Embassy in Jerusalem that our evacuated staff will be able to return back to Israel soon; Pray that there will be a way forward for Judea and Samaria to be under sovereignty of Israel, but in a way that will give the Arab population there a better and more secure life and future than they have with the Palestinian Authority.”

Leon Mazin sends a good report about the music school at “Our daughter Congregation Music School (“Keshet Tzlilim”) in Nof ha-Galil (View of the Galilee) has successfully completed its very first year! We congratulate all the students on their progress and achievements and extend our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated teachers.  It’s been a wonderful beginning — and we’re excited for what’s to come!”
The fostering of musical ability in children is a big focus for this congregation, and really among the Jewish people as a whole. They have a school of music in the
Return to Zion congregation as well.

From Claude and Michelle Ezagouri of the Morning Star Fellowship in Tiberias, they are thanking God for His protection over them during this difficult period for Israel. In prayer requests they ask, “Please pray that this peaceful break will be as long as possible. Our fellowship car engine died and we had to buy a secondhand car, which we are in the process of doing thanks to a Donor’s help. This came right when we were trying to rebalance our budget because of a monthly imbalance from the beginning of the year. We had to lower the two and a half salaries, but expenditure is hard to decrease although we are trying, Prices have considerably increased in Israel and the Dollar has constantly devalued versus the Shekel, which has decreased our income from overseas gifts. Please pray that we may have God’s wisdom in this. We truly trust Him as He has always been faithful to us.
DD: I appreciate Claude speaking frankly about this situation that exists for all the ministries in Israel. Please do what you are able to help.

As usual, Reuven Doron delivers thought provoking commentary about the current news events – overlaying those events with prophetic parallel. As he writes truly, ““That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, ‘Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.” (Isaiah 44)
President Trump and his administration want the Gaza War to end ASAP in order to pursue a vision of a peaceful and productive Middle East. Extending the Abraham Accords with more Arab nations, and especially with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is the ultimate goal. According to current US foreign policy, this goal justifies any means to achieve it. Current Middle Eastern politics may not give the intercessors great joy these days, but we perceive that they are, nevertheless, necessary in order to move forward.
King Cyrus was chosen by God to fulfill the divine purposes regarding the rebuilding of Jerusalem and the Temple. He wasn’t chosen for the task because of any virtue or excellence of character; rather the Scripture says he was chosen because he“… shall perform all my pleasure.” Pray for President Trump and for Bibi as they notch out a deal moving forward. Partner with us
BIBI’S LEGACY | While high-level negotiations and political shenanigans are unfolding in Washington DC even as we write these words, let us tell you how most Israelis feel about it. In spite of the American pressure to wrap up a deal with Hamas and bring the Gaza War to an end, many here in Israel hope that our Prime Minister will not cave in to the pressures and compromise Israel’s security for short-term political gain.. .. History tells us that negotiating with Jihadi terrorists who commit their lives and destiny to Israel’s destruction is meaningless.
Ending the war WITHOUT a total removal of Hamas from Gaza while securing deep territorial control across ALL of Israel’s borders will simply start the countdown for the next massacre and the next war. Yet, while we look to the Lord for His hand to rest upon our leaders and guide us according to His plan, we must remember that Bibi is not a young man, nor is he healthy. Given his personal status, political and legal challenges at home, and the immense pressures he must be under by President Trump and the European Union, we will not be surprised if the current talks lead Israel into painful compromises for the hope of further integration into the Middle East.
Netanyahu, in spite of his failures and the ongoing scandals surrounding him, his family, and his governing coalition, has achieved impressive results in security and regional affairs. Given Israel‘s complex political environment, he had to (or chose to) work with the Ultra-Orthodox parties to form a majority coalition, and is therefore beholden to them and to their often ungodly agendas and priorities.
You need to realize that these Ultra-Orthodox parties present the most “Anti-Messiah“ sentiment in the Israeli society and are the ones who persecute the Gospel and its messengers the most. We hope and pray that the Lord will “contain and arrest” these religious strongholds, yet we realize that these forces may be necessary for Israel’s forward motion according to God’s plan.”
There was much much more, but to read it, you need to email Reuven and subscribe to his email list.
